We placed a phone order for pickup a week or so ago. We got the Feast from the Middle East with a few extra orders of pita. It was a hit--and we had so much left over! The portions are quite generous. The kefta and the fattoush were particularly good, as were the fried fish and scallops. read more

We love the chicken shawarma and chicken wrap with French fries that comes with an addicting garlic sauce. The baba ganouj is perfectly smoky and delectable, and the meatless grape leaves are on point! Wonderful comfort food. read more

We have had multiple amazing meals here! We came out for a Father's Day dinner tonight. Hummus, Zataar dip, pumpkins kibbe and plenty of pita to start. Most of us had the kebab dinners which had rice, loubeih and fattoush or tabbouleh. Delicious food, fun and friendly service. Hostess/server also went above and beyond to make our 3 year old happy! Do you have A LOT of TIME to KILL?!! Then this is the place to go to dinner. Service is at an all time low. We were seated and waited 30 min to be acknowledged and given a menu. We would have gone elsewhere but by now it was 7:30 on a Friday night and every restaurant would be busy at this time. We placed our order and my husband had asked for a soup with his meal. Again 20 min goes by no soup. Not only that no chance of flagging down our waitress because she was nowhere to be seen. When we finally got her attention she was bringing out our dinners one hour and 10 min after we were seated. The food itself was quite good but the service was so horrible the only way I will revisit will be TAKEOUT!! read more

The desire to try this restaurant was pulling at me for several weeks due to several reviews stating they were "not ready" and the wait for food was unbearable. I'm here to say that my experience with the Lebanese Kitchen was none of the above!!! I chose to have dinner on a Wednesday with a friend at around 5:45pm - so I know that timing might have helped but when we arrived we were promptly seated. There were several booths and tables occupied so they were moderately busy but not packed. The waitress - Jenna- was quick to introduce herself and offer to get us some drinks. She was very personable and eager to please. Drinks arrived in a blink of an eye. Because I do my homework and studied up on the menu I knew I wanted to start off with the Fattoush salad. It took only about 10 minutes for the salad to arrive. It was delicious and the Fattoush dressing was amazing ( oil and vinegar with herbs). The veggies were all fresh and chopped up just right. The toasted pita bread made the salad adding that special crunch in every bite. Our main order was to share the Non- Vegetarian Maza which includes various items - some of which my friend and I had never tried. The wait for the Maza was a little longer than the wait for the salad but this was completely expected. When the Maza arrived on all the different plates we were so impressed with the presentation. The food was plated picture perfect. For me the star of the show was the Kafta(beef) kabob and the Loubieh and rice ( green beans in a marinade of sorts). The serve the Kabobs with a tasty garlic paste - warning - a little of this paste goes a long way- The Falafel, Hummus, Baba Ghannouj, And Tabbouli were served on one plate and each of these items were stars of their own. The Baba and hummus look very similar so take a good look before dunking your pita bread. I loved both the baba and hummus - delicious! The falafel was also very good. To end off the night we tried their baklava and was not disappointed- with hints of lemon and the right balance of nuts and honey - it was a hit. There was so much food to take home and was well worth the price - to be honest the Maza could feed way more than two people and you get your money's worth for sure. I'll be back to try more of their menu items as many of the options looked enticing. The service was fantastic too! read more

Give it another try!! I went to Lebanese kitchen during their soft open a year ago . They were so completely overwhelmed that while the food was terrific the visit itself was trying...it took 2 hours to get the meal. I, like many, was wary to go back. However, Recently I've been back twice. And I'm so glad i gave it another go! Once I had a traditional Lebanese combo (Kafka, fattoush, baba) the second I had the Lebanese Fish and Chips - awesome!! Tip --get the garlic paste to dip your fries in. The place was empty though. I fear that people have not come back to give this deserving restaurant a second chance. The food was great and the service was attentive and the value is absolutely there. The ambience is a little meh, and the restaurant is too big. I wish it was a smaller cozier place which is why it didn't get 5 stars but for sure I'm going back!! read more

We're in town for four nights, and had to come here twice because it was too good to eat only once. The food is incredible, there are plenty of vegetarian options (though my partner says the kebabs are cooked to perfection), and the service was great and so friendly! I would be a regular here if I lived closer, and they do takeout! You literally can't go wrong. And we got plenty of food, so there are leftovers! read more

We ordered two appetizers. Falafel and baba ghanouj. The baba was the one good thing we ordered. The falafel was hidden under lettuce, tomatoes and tahini. Good reason to hide it too. It was so overcooked and dry it was terrible. We both ordered kebabs. She got a kafta kebab (not pictured) I ordered a combo kebab with kafta and pork. All I really wanted for dinner was lamb & rice but there was no lamb on the menu. I tried telling myself none of this was the waitresses fault and to be nice. That almost worked. I was talking to Cindy, telling her what I thought was right and wrong about this dinner when the waitress came up to out table and rudely says "Is there a problem here?". Up till that point the problem had mainly been the menu and food, she wasn't great but I could have overlooked her lacking skills up to that point. Now she was a part of the terrible dinner experience and " problem". So incredibly rude. I've eaten at a lot of Mediterranean and Lebanese places all over the world and this was by far the worst. The place seemed to have good reviews and I was really looking forward to trying the place. I should have looked at the menu before visiting but who would think a Mediterranean / Lebanese restaurant wouldn't have lamb on their regular menu. I think the people who rate this well like Portuguese food and don't know any better/haven't had really good Lebanese food before. There is way too much Portuguese influence in this menu. And not that Portuguese food is bad but when I go out for Lebanese I don't want Portuguese. Sorry not sorry. I was so upset and irritated by the whole experience I didn't even remember to order a Turkish coffee which is how I would usually end a wonderful Lebanese dinner. read more

Finally opened!!! Yea!!! The Chicken Sharmwan was excellent as were the sides of taboullie, hummus and baba. Very bland standard selection of beers as a disappointment. And it's a Lebanese restaurant but NO dishes!!! Makes no sense!! Nonetheless we'll be going back next week. read more

The Lebanese Kitchen is probably in my top 3 favorite restaurants on the south coast of Mass. The food always tastes fresh and delicious. I ate at their original location in New Bedford and have continued to be a big fan as they opened up in their new location (granted, there were a few hiccups when they first reopened, but the food quality never wavered). I usually order the shawarma, kibbeh, or fattoush. By the time I'm done eating my entire plate is cleaned (I enjoy every bite) and I'm very comfortably full. I have come to love Lebanese food because they are so flavorful and seem so much healthier than food you can get at most other restaurants. I know some people were upset about the long wait times when they first reopened, but they went from being a tiny little restaurant to a much, much larger one - so growing pains were expected. Now, to my untrained eye, things seem to be moving much smoother. I am SO glad to have the Lebanese Kitchen back! read more

I had been to the old location in New Bedford and remembered it was great. So waited and waited for this location to open. Heard of the soft opening back after the Fourth of July and stopped in then but decided to come back. Went here last Friday night. We were told right away that it would be a wait and it still may be a little slow but we thought it was great they warned us and thought they must be well on their way to working things out so decided to stay. We were given menus to look at while waiting. But we picked what we wanted then and once seated it made the wait seem worse? The dining area is still severely understaffed. Our water was good but was not at all familiar with the menu and everything we ordered we had to point it out on the menu. We ordered Beers and Hummus and Stuffed Grape Leaves for app's. They are very simple things yet took too long to arrive. There were 2 of us we got the Chicken and Beef Kabob plates to share. The food was excellent but the wait, almost unbearable. read more

Had a fabulous lunch here today with a friend, who had never been here before. She was blown away by the flavors in every single item on her plate, and the incredible Fool Maddamous appetizer we shared. The baba ghanouj was sooo smokey and wonderful as well. If I could withhold judgement and give Lebanese kitchen a TBD question mark, I would. It wouldn't be fair to give them the one star for the only meal we've had. Too many people in the area rave about the old restaurant in New Bedford that burned down. But ... they never seem to be open. Their grand opening took over a year repurposing the old M chowder House. Once opened, every day is inconsistent. A bad stove. A malfunction in electrical. They're open. Then closed again. At least post something with hours on a marquee or the door. I'm sure you lose many customers because of this. Our meal was takeout because the dining room wasn't open yet. The family employees were running around without direction and looked like keystone cops came to town. Chaotic and disorganized The order was completely wrong and what we ate was childlike in the way it was made and seasoned. Messy. Clumsy. Carelessly packaged. Humus bland and disappointing. Bread frozen (!) Kabobs lukewarm and unseasoned. Maybe mama wS out that day? Come on owners, it's time to get yourselves together and show us what you can supposedly do. I'll give you another chance. There is nothing appealing about the Lebanese Kitchen. The service was nearly nonexistent and completely unprofessional. The decor was as bland as the food. Everything we ordered took over an hour to get to the table. While I understand this is a recently opened a restaurant, the management is clearly way over its head. How can they be serving take out, when they can't adequately serve folks waiting in the restaurant? I was a huge fan of the original Lebanese kitchen so this is very disappointing. I live in Mattapoisett, and discovered that our experience has been commonplace. I may wait another year and try again, but even that is doubtful. read more

We ate here early on a Friday evening. We got the non-vegetarian maza, a sampler of about a dozen Lebanese items. We thoroughly enjoyed it all, my favorite was the falafel with lettuce and tomato. The tahini dressing made it so tasty. The baba ganoush had a lovely smoky flavor. I loved the green beans and rice dish. I was full before I got around to the kofta and chicken, they could benefit from more spice. I took home enough food for two more meals, very reasonably priced. The food arrived on two large platters, and several small dishes. I was sorry we just dived in and devoured it before I thought of taking a photo. The service was friendly and efficient. Since it is still in pandemic mode, there were only a few dine-in customers, but a bustling takeout business. read more

I went to the old restaurant that was here and I was pleasantly surprised upon walking in. You can tell the owners put in a lot thought and care into making the place look more modern. Bar side was brilliantly put together with a new bar back and a brand new bar top. The open space was a nice change as well as too restaurants are trying to squeeze every seat in while sacrificing personal space. The food was excellent and the bartender Gary was a great help in assisting newbies like myself choose the right food options. I am so happy to have this restaurant reopen. A serious fire in their previous location in New Bedford destroyed the restaurant and their home. The newly refurbished location on Route 6 in Mattapoisett is a huge leap forward with a very well done style. And the food is as good as it was back in N.B. 4years has passed and today we went to the New Lebanese Kitchen in Mattapoisett for lunch. The Menu is VAST, something for everyone. Seafood, Steak, Spaghetti, Salads and wraps were also offered here. We started with Falafel and Grape Leaves...superb! Main course was Chicken Kabobs, Pork Kabobs and Mussels Piri Piri. Every bite was better than the next. The spices well mixed, the Mussels were the best we've had in a very long time. Run here! Don't doubt this choice, it's excellent. The staff is cheerful and pleasant AND Attentive. The owner came out. As his son was walking around. The Momma was cooking her heart out and she certainly has ours!!! Lastly the prices were great!
