We used this company twice. The first time was good except I felt they charged too much. It was over 1,000 to move a 2 bedroom. Anyway, we used again simply because we knew the company. However on the second move, the one movers attitude was abrasive and rude. There was also damage to our furniture. I know our furniture isn't antique but it's ours. My dresser has a noticeable piece broken off. I contacted the company and received a message back with no apology or explanation. I will never recommend this company! read more

Jared and Derek did a seamless job of moving us out of a tri-level home. Our furniture was large and heavy. They arrived on time , meticulously wrapped our furniture, loaded and unloaded without a hitch! As busy as they were , they still maintained a good sense of humor and sang along to the music that we had playing. Moving is certainly not pleasant however moving with Jared and Derek was a great experience. Due to the size of the load, they recruited 3 more of their colleagues to assist with the unload. These people are the best! From the very beginning when I booked the move with Judy, Rae and Javier, they were professional, efficient and pretty much walked me thru the whole process. Did not have a good experience but nothing crazy happened. This was in December 2021 and I forgot to post my review but here it is! They arrived late but were very helpful packing things up after arrival. Very efficient and timely. Friendly guys. When we arrived at the apartment and the 3 men realized there wasn't an elevator (I stated this during booking), they made some phone calls. The person running the show told me that they needed to call for more help but that I wouldn't be charged for additional people, just that we would need to wait for them to get here since it was late and they needed the extra help to bring things upstairs. Pricing was my major issue. He lied when he said we wouldn't be charged for additional people. When I had to pay, they tacked on several hundred dollars for the additional movers. While I originally assumed we would need to pay for extra people, he told me that we wouldn't and it got very expensive. I would have opted for the original crew at the same hourly rate if I had known that. They also broke my dresser and the legs to our 75" TV and didn't tell me. I know these things happen but they didn't inform me and that was disappointing. read more

Recently required an unusual service, bring very heavy plants downstairs then several days later back upstairs. Started like most people randomly calling movers and got ridiculous quotes, one over $1000. Called Shawn and Shawn and Micheal who answered the phone could not have been more accommodating. They scheduled the move on the day I needed it luckily around another move nearby, cutting the cost. They called me few days later with another move near me and inquired if this day will work for me to return the plants upstairs. It did. The plants were heavy, awkward and dirty and the two men who showed up each day never complained. The price was extremely affordable and Shawn and Shawn very accommodating. They took great care of each piece they moved, were very courteous and professional throughout and when a heavy rain came along, they stopped- but not before letting us know that the clock stopped on the job when they did! If you noticed, I had an excellent experience with S&S in 2022 which brought me back to use them again. This time for my own self who sold a house with short closing and cash. And who does not accept cash when someone wants to give it to you. So, my next two months were probably the worst of my life, including COVID and 2 months of Bronchitis and a bout of vomiting and nausea of unknown etiology. I won't bore you with the other details that contributed to this difficult period. However, the only redeeming and joyful thing that happened was S&S. They had to make maybe three trips given where I was living, where I was moving, where I was storing my furniture and my general ineptitude in organizing this move. Sometimes they arrived to find I had not been able to do the packing I promised but they called and brought in re-enforcements to make sure I was able to close in a timely manner. Thank you so much.
