After searching for hours for a local pro, I defaulted to real estate agent extraordinaire Sara Hurst (Coldwell Banker) recommended Joe at Certified and she deserves a commission from me for that referral. Joe sent his crew within an hour and half (I called before they were open) to begin the monolith project. To the point - all 3 of the Master Plumbers troubleshot a very convoluted and complex myriad if hard stop T's and bends not fit for even a camera. Minor breeching of a wall was required and they employed a new technique that ultimately cleared the drain. (oh yeah - clean up better than they found it!) In stark contrast to previous experiences with other plumbing companies, where a quick fix and a hefty bill were the norm, Certified Plumbing took the time to meticulously diagnose the issue. They understood that merely puncturing through grease and organic buildup would offer only a temporary solution, as the debris would inevitably reform over short time. With our home boasting 50-year-old cast iron pipes, their expertise was invaluable. I opted to go ahead and they cleared the drain. I was told it was a soft clog and my drain seemed to be in good condition. As I watched them do the work at no point did the snake bind up, it actually went through pretty easy. The whole thing only took about 30 minutes. The fee was $600.00. Two days later when the washing machine drained it flooded the laundry room. I called and was told I would have to pay again only this time it would be $1000.00. I do not feel I was treated honestly and now they want to hold no accountability. I would not recommend you use this company.

I had a very poor experience with "The Wiz" Plumbing. We hired them to clear a blockage in our…read moresewer line and fix some leaking pipes under our house (same bathroom). After checking out the situation, "The Wiz" told us that there was not a leak under our house, and that the leak was actually under our sink. They then replaced a small joint pipe under the sink and cleaned out the stoppage in the line. They mentioned that our plumbing in that bathroom was not up to code, which we already knew, but they did not recommend what needed to be done to update it, or mention how this would affect our plumbing. While doing this, they discovered our toilet was installed without a flange. We had an extra one in our work shed, which they did install for us, free of charge. That was pretty much the only work they did for us that we were satisfied with. Almost immediately after they left, we heard running water under our house, and realized it was still leaking under there. We also realized that the new joint pipe they replaced was also leaking! We called them back and they basically said 'tough luck, nothing we did is under warranty since your plumbing is not up to code'. They would not even stand behind the new pipe they had installed! We then did some research on Yelp and called a reputable plumber, with good reviews, and had them out to take a look. The new plumber, after 5 minutes of looking at the plumbing, told us that there was a missing pipe cap under our house, which was the reason it was still leaking. He was surprised that "The Wiz" had not noticed this, since it was plain as day to a plumber. He also told us that we needed a vent pipe, which was our primary problem. Our new plumber then fixed both problems, for virtually the same price that the Wiz had charged us for "who knows what." Our key take away from this was that you should always fully research a company before having them do repairs on your house. Also, a warranty is key! Our new plumber gave us a 1 year warranty on everything, even though our plumbing wasnt fully up to code (since it was a recent foreclosure we bought), while the Wiz doesnt stand behind their work at all. Who knows, you could have a decent experience with The Wiz. At the time, they seemed nice enough. However, I have now worked with two plumbers, fixing the exact same issue in the same bathroom. Out of those two plumbers, I would not recommend "The Wiz".

My hot water heater had a leaking issue. I called Alexander and Sons and spoke to Jennifer who…read moreschedules appointments. I explained what was going on. They set a time to come look, and knew what to get. Then had everything ready for us, and did the job, informing along the way what was happening. The second job more to change a well-housing and pipes connecting to water source, they changed all of that too. Had looked at it previously, to get the information on the project- to get the tools, back when the water heater was done. Seeming their time spent, and then once we were ready, came by- got the scope again and then picked up the products and set a day to work. That was all done- and have now water running again without fear of blowing out anything in the well. Future jobs are planned- coming up with remodeling. Waiting on them for the pricing to get that all firm and prepared, so when the job come's all will know what is needed. My word to ANYONE that has any difficulty, getting to people; constant- repetition in informing them what is needed and also, send emails as well with pricing- that helps a ton. Keep after it, after all we are in the process of getting the job completed as well. They do great work, and show up. And, things are working when they leave.

May 2024 we had the beginning of our plumbing issues on our well system. After getting the bladder…read morereplaced by one plumber I've already reviewed, and well pump replaced by a second plumber, we found out our filtration system was also dying on us and would need to be replaced quickly. After being ghosted by our first plumber, and finding out the second one we used would not be able to get to us in a timely manner, we reached out to Alexander & Sons. They came out to get a water sample to determine what type of system we would need and that was the extent of their service. They claimed we had bacteria in our system (but never provided a report) and would need to shock it before performing work. After a few phone calls and no shows, they claimed they came out to do it. Unfortunately for them, my security cameras told otherwise. When I called them back to confirm, I was then ignored for a week. I called another company, who came out, tested, and replaced our system in the time it took this company to ignore me and reach back out to me. When I informed them I went with someone else and told them they never came back, the person on the phone told me they did. I then informed them that they did not because A) my security cameras never caught them, and they would have if they had come in my driveway and B) there was something left behind on the well cover by the plumbers who replaced my well pump. She then called me back and left a voicemail (which I still have) telling me to get my cameras checked because they did come out and move a pair of pliers from the cover. Only problem? It was electrical tape the previous plumbers left behind next to the well which I then placed on top of the cover when cutting grass, not pliers. So either the plumbers lied to her and she didn't know or she lied to cover for them. Either way, unacceptable. Overall, I would avoid them and go with a larger company who, even though you may pay more, at least gets the job done.
