My biggest recommendation is to communicate pricing clearly before the appointment, especially the $250 minimum diagnostic fee. If I had known that in advance, I would have been much less surprised by the final cost. I also have a hearing impairment, so verbal communication can be difficult for me. While Emerson did a thorough job, communicating estimates and pricing through Yelp messages or text would have made the experience much smoother.

He did great with the bathroom light/fan rewire, and the porch fan did work when he left. The problem is that the porch fan stopped working a few days later. Unfortunately, ran into an issue getting him back to check because he's in too much demand. Finally, after over a month of trying to get him back to perform a check (he does have a 1 yr warranty on his work) - he did - and it was a simple fix that had nothing to do with the quality of his work. So of course, now we have more work and will hopefully be able to hire him again if he has the availability.
