The job was to replace a broken pipe between the well and the house. It involved cutting up the concrete patio. They also replaced the little galvanized plumbing we had left and put in a new pressure tank. What I particularly liked about Five Star was the quality of work and that fact that they had a person, Jacob, that followed up and made sure that work progressed and was done to my satisfaction. I view that as a good quality control. I also liked the fact that they were the lowest cost by far. Would recommend that to any friends.

But good to know that the this particular softener was made to last and, in his estimation, had another 5-10 years of service left. How many other plumbers would hear 30 years and react with "oh yea, it's time to get a new one!!"

They both worked non-stop trying to find the source of the water. They were here about 2 hours. Although they never really could find the source of the water, I couldn't be happier with all they did in trying to find it. Both worked non-stop searching both inside and outside for the source of the water. Both were such gentlemen and went over and above. They set the water softener to regen that night. They told me they would come out next day if water recurred. It ran that night, but nothing happened. I'll continue to call Seiter when something goes wrong. Very dependable company!

I promptly arranged for repairs, as I occasionally use the furnace on cooler nights, even when daytime temperatures don't require it. Unfortunately, the first appointment was canceled at the last minute, and the second appointment couldn't be completed because the new heat exchanger arrived damaged, necessitating a reorder. Additionally, I was overcharged for cleaning the blower, which wasn't performed due to the heat exchanger issue. I'm still awaiting a refund and am uncertain about when the furnace repairs will be finished. This situation could have been managed more effectively, and I hope everything gets resolved soon. Then decided to tell me that they are running behind. Could not give me an update to when. 1:54pm still nothing. Had to call Home Depot and ask what is going on. 2:59pm at my house with no heads up. Upset that no one is home now. Finally called me and I told them I will be back in 30 mins. They came inside and tried to tell me I needed all of these things. Told them I didn't need them and they said then we can't do the install. Ask the guy to leave and he did. The best part was he said it would take 6 hours to do the job and drain the old tank. Now I know why they are behind.

He had to go get the parts and replace it but this took less than an hour. System is working great and this was done on a bitterly cold day in January. I figured that I would have to wait all day. These guys installed my new HVAC system in Dec 2024, and while it heated great, it doesn't cool at…read moreall. Jake came back out 6/11, and said the motherboard needed replaced. It's still under warranty, he ordered the parts and charged me for them, saying I would be reimbursed from the company after the install. It has cost me $2,600 at this point, and it's still not fixed as of 8/18, and I haven't heard from them in a week. They've been routinely unreliable, setting up dates to come out for install and then not showing up or communicating. Do not use them if you have any other option.
