He did not disappoint. During the initial tests and conversations, he actually took me seriously when I discussed my symptoms and problems, and then he prescribed me a combination of medications for maintenance of my allergies that worked much better than any other I had taken. He even scheduled follow-up visits, checked in with me, and talked my options through with me when the maintenance drugs just weren't doing quite enough. We decided that, under my current circumstances, doing allergy shots might be best. I have been receiving them for a few months now, have had no complications or problems, and am actually beginning to notice some differences in my health. His hours for administering allergy shots are excellent for people who work, too. He has three locations, but I have only been to the Rockville and Chevy Chase offices. The Rockville office is actually shared with an OB/GYN practice, but it's still very comfortable (nice big couches to sit and read while you're waiting for him to check your shots). He has a great personality, too, and we have definitely had many a pleasant conversation during my many, many visits to his office. In short, he is truly a great doctor, and I would recommend him to anyone trying to overcome their debilitating allergies and asthma problems.

The wifi in the waiting room means I can get work done while I'm there, the receptionist Vicky is so nice, and Dr. Goldberg is so pleasant and is great with the shots. I've always been bad with needles, but he's really great and always makes me feel comfortable. Actual time spent with the physician (1 on 1) I went to see Dr. Sekhsaria for a full evaluation of my seasonal allergies and my asthma. Let me start off by saying that He has a GREAT bedside manner (seriously, it feels like a casual conversation about your medical history.) Some doctors have some rehearsed script, or they seem totally unapproachable (like somehow they are better than you). NOT his case! The check in procedure was quick and easy. I'm well familiar with new patient paperwork and it is always extensive, confusing and repetitive. This was not the case at this office. Janice (friendly front desk lady) asked me for ID and insurance card and handed me 2 pages of paperwork. As soon as I finished, she finished making my chart, called my name and walked me back to the examining room. Once in the examining room, doctor Sekhsaria walked right in and introduced himself. My first impression of him was "wow. What a friendly guy!" I have to admit that I loved not having a technician asking me again ALL the usual questions with regards to my medical history. Dr. Sekhsaria does it all himself and in a timely manner (you never feel like he's rushing you out of the office.) Then I was guided to the testing room for breathing tests. Joanne, the lady that performed all my testing is incredibly friendly and super professional. She went through the directions(multiple times), indicating me how to do the tests properly. She's so patient! Lastly, back in the examining room for my skin tests and I waited 20-30 minutes for an allergic response (yes, that IS the standard.) Dr. Sekhsaria came back in, measured, recorded and reviewed the results with me. He explained the treatment options and we selected the one he thought best. He wrote down my regimen on a piece of paper and told me to come back in 4 weeks to reassess me and see how the treatment was working. Walked me to the front and boom! I was done. Just like the check in, quick and friendly check out. Payed my copay and I was out. From the moment I walked in until I walked out, about 1hr and 50 minutes. Given all the testing, the treatment provided and all the paperwork that usually entails with New patients this is deff a winner. To me, it's an A++ for this physicians and his staff.

She was leaving for vacation the week after I made the appointment, but they were able to squeeze me in for a consultation the day that I called. I spent maybe 30 minutes WITH her (not in the waiting room, not with the nurse taking my vitals, not bored sitting and waiting in the patient room!) talking about my last 8 weeks, and the couple weeks prior to that. She diagnosed my hives to have been a result from a new drug I was on (spironolactone). She was so CARING and genuinely cared about my recovery. She wasn't pushing me to get out the door. Dr. Rohatgi told me I had a delayed drug allergy, which could take at least 6 months to leave my system. I'm still recovering, but if it weren't for her expertise and kindess, I'd be crying in bed as I scratched away...

And Dr. Gina is extremely friendly and you can tell she's passionate about her field of work (which is what we all want in a specialist doctor right?!). She gave me a couple options for what allergy test I preferred to take that day to see if I was a candidate for allergy shots. When you sign up for allergy shots, you need to sign something saying you'll pay thousands of dollars for treatment if you don't show up for your injections. For the last year, they have been closed more than they have been open. They do not communicate these closures to their patients with the exception of posting a sign on the door of their clinic (you need to physically go there to get the hours). If you call for the hours, you must get in the que for a scheduling agent who may or may not have the correct hours. Occasionally, you get a text with "updated" hours that is often inaccurate. For the last 6+ months I've averaged 2+ visits per shot and have been late with treatments because they are not open. Staff have actually chastised me for not getting injections on time. If you ask staff for help to address this issue you either get no response or "sorry we can't help". They should not be offering ongoing treatment that they cannot offer with reasonable access and in accordance with clinical guidelines.
