Where have you been my whole life? For a guy who needs more than a boring cut, this is for you. They do shaves, waxes and stylish cuts. I felt like a million dollars walking out of there. The place looks great too. They offer you a beer, there are leather couches for waiting and televisions at each station to keep you occupied. You'll pay more, but you get what you pay for. Solid local spot in Dilworth. I've been to the Ballantyne location as well, it's good. Leeanne and Carlie always do a good job; I've seen other stylists there over the past three years and everyone has been great. They'll work off a photo, general overview, or their personal opinion of what fits you best as far as style goes. My instructions are typically faded the sides and back; long on top with a hard part... and they've always done an awesome job with just those few points. I am new to the area, so I checked with Yelp to find a good barber. There weren't a lot of reviews on here for Asheboro, so I went with the one with them most positive reviews. I stopped in in the morning because the sign said they take walk-ins. The stylist on duty had a client, so she scheduled me with Susana. When I arrived for my appointment later that day; I was greeted by Susana with a great big smile. She was very welcoming and friendly. I showed her a few pictures of what I was thinking and she nailed it the first time. My hair is very corse so it takes a true professional to get it right, and Susana is exactly that. I have lived in Charlotte for almost 3 years. Within the first few months of living here I stumbled upon Shear Excellence and have not had to look for a new hair cut place since. I normally call to schedule an appointment for later that same day, normally without any issue. Nicki is my go to stylist but I have used several of the other stylists and have always had great results. Yes the price is a little steep, but this isn't your corner barber shop. You don't come here to get the high and tight or a buzz cut. For your money you get the full treatment, a beer upon walking in, quality haircut, scalp massage and shampoo, straight razor neck shave and a blow dry and style to finish it off. read more

Was in town for wedding, and wanted to get cleaned up. Great fade, beard, and straight razor clean up. Hot towels, shampoo. Whiskey. This place is nice! The price was $73 before tip, which is higher than I usually pay, but if I got this kind of service from my barber at home I would pay the extra to up the game. Great haircut, great bloody marry, fun staff that will give you exactly what you want. It is a bit pricey for a haircut, but they also wash your hair and give you a straight shave on the neck and finish with a hot steamed towel. I would certainly go back. read more

Tabitha cut my hair the first time and made it look absolutely awesome! She actually cuts it better than my old Dallas guy. I've come back twice to her now.
