Had my first Brazilian wax yesterday with Nancy and it was awesome . The office is very clean , well lit and nicely decorated. I found the service on Groupon and decided to book . I was sooo nervous but Nancy made me feel so comfortable an at ease during the whole process . She tells you everything as she is doing it and before you know it , you're all done ! Now ..it did hurt when she pulled , but it was more of a shock pain lol . All I could do was laugh through it . I felt perfectly fine after and went back to work . I am getting married in a few months, so I thought why not give a Brazilian wax a try? I found Pure Aesthetics through Living Social. I called to make an appointment, but had to leave a message. No big deal though, because soon after I got a call back to schedule. We scheduled for two weeks out. Fast forward two weeks, and here comes an ice storm in Charlotte, so Nikkie contacted me via EMAIL and asked if I wished to reschedule. Her shop is a bit of a hike for me even though she is now located in Charlotte, so we rescheduled for Saturday at 1pm via EMAIL. Saturday rolls around and I am so excited. I drive up to the shop, which is a bit of a challenge to find, but I found it and still arrived early, as I was told to, and sat and waited. And waited. and waited... She is located in one of those "salon mall" things. So several other shop owners saw me waiting and asked if I needed anything. Nope... Nothing. So I called Nikkie. No answer. Called again a few minutes later, no answer. Waited. Called. Waited. Called.... I am sure you are getting the point. I left after waiting 35 minutes. 12:45 - 1:20. I called and FINALLY got an answer. Well Nikkie did not write down my appointment in her "book". That is incredibly interesting since we booked over EMAIL. She was not apologetic at all. She did not offer to rush over to the shop and have my appointment, and she did not reach out to me and apologize after. Unprofessional, unorganized and not getting my business. read more

Nikkie was fantastic! I was running late for my appointment and she was so sweet and understanding about it; completely professional when I arrived even though I inconvenienced her. Her office/room was warm and welcoming as well as very clean. She is knowledgeable about her services which is extremely important to me since there are complications and reasons to worry when receiving any wax treatment. It wasn't that painful and she did a great job. She was fairly quick as well and her prices are extremely reasonable. (Compare to any other spa service in Charlotte). The best bikini wax I've had in Charlotte! I have tried several places - Toccare, Nue, European Wax. The salon was very clean; my tech used a brand new stick every time she dipped into the hard wax, no strips were used and she wore gloves. The process was very quick and efficient. My service was over before I knew it and it prevented me from anticipating the pain. The next day, my skin was no longer sensitive which is a huge deal! The interior was cute, and the receptionist and esthetician were very nice, however, I was very disappointed after when I realized my session was cut extremely short. I scheduled and paid for a 60 minute custom facial, but my appointment started at 12:45 pm, and ended at 1:20 pm. The service was good overall, however, I probably will not return as I have never experienced a service being cut so short compared to other spas I have been to. I got my first ever Brazilian done by Nikkie and although she did an amazing job, I didn't go back to her because she was moving to her current location (on Prosperity) which was out of the way of my job in South Charlotte and home in Kannapolis. I went to a wax center that was close to my job instead (a huge mistake). Not only were they more expensive, but the Brazilians were painful and caused skin irritation and ingrown hairs (despite using their expensive bath scrub and ingrown hair serum). After growing tired of pain and irritation, I decided to go back to Pure Wax and I'm back to being in waxing bliss! Nikkie is very professional, quick (the Brazilians only take 15 minutes), her waxing is painless, and the wax that she uses doesn't cause irritations or ingrown hairs afterward. It's easy to schedule appointments via the Vagaro app or the website, and they have a rewards program that gives you discounts on services. She does such a great job that I drive from Kannapolis to get my waxing done.
