The whole process is pretty simple and they send out text reminders to keep you on track! The salon itself is really cute. I would say it's rustic-chic. If you get there early, there's a cute sitting area and coffee! I know haircuts can be pretty subjective, but I've never had any problems with Jenny. I personally always hate making small talk when I go to the hair salon, but I don't feel awkward​ about it at Tease. All of the other stylists​ seem personable as well! I would definitely recommend Tease for anyone looking got a new salon on the West Side. It has a great atmosphere and very talented stylists!

I'm still incredibly happy with my cut however I'm incredibly unhappy about my coloring. 4 days after leaving I washed my hair and my hair turned VERY yellow/gold--exactly what I said I didn't want. I messaged her on a Monday--she responded the next day and apologized and told me "sometimes with the lightning it ends up being a bit yellow" (that's never happened to me). Requested I give it a few more washes and another week and she would then tone it. (Toning would darken--not lighten). She said she looked over my photos and said when I left the salon she thought she did what I wanted--she did however it washed out. I messaged her to let her know that I went some place else. Where I was informed that she did not leave it on my hair long enough and it was not blended well at all. I had paid $360 (with tip, to Mallory). She not only didn't offer to refund ANY of my money, she also didn't even apologize that I had went someplace else. I would never go back to her based on the lack of response and refund. Terrible.

I've come here I think 3 or 4 times over the past two years (not because I go elsewhere- just because my life is hectic and I'm lazy) and I always love my look better than I ever have before - as in ever in my entire life. It's crazy how much hair can change your entire aesthetic. I usually don't come into hair appointments with much of a direction because I have absolutely no knowledge of what "works" for me and I think that's exactly what Jackie excels at creating. Additionally, I've always been told that I shouldn't go blonde because it would look bad with my dark eyes and an olive-y (not my words- I think I'm pale lol) skin tone. Well since no one likes being told what to do I decided I was going to try it and Jackie NAILED IT with the color - it looked so wonderful on me and I personally like it better than brunette me. She gives you a realistic expectation of what she thinks she can achieve while still keeping your hair healthy and won't tell you that she can do anything she doesn't think is viable. Neither of us thought we would get my hair as light as we did so it was a pleasant surprise :) Aside from talent, this saloon is super welcoming and the staff seems to genuinely get along great. They have all your boujee hair care needs with Kevin Murphy products (if you have super dry hair you neglect for months on end like I do they're a necessity). Last but not least, they're pretty much in a girl gang with the other lady-owned Tremont businesses so whats not to love?

I felt my original stylist, Rachel, genuinely cared about my experience and worked with me every appointment to achieve what I was going for. You can't work miracles with hair, everyone's hair is different, but when I brought in a celebrity photo/reference she did the best anyone could to mimic the color/style. Sadly, she left without forwarding any contact information, so I tried a new stylist Emily. And she does pretty much exactly what Rachel had done for me. I've been to dozens of hair stylists in my life, and I've never felt so pleased with any of them til I've gone to this place. The pricing is fair for the most part, and the salon is always clean. They offer beverages while you wait and everyone is very friendly. I've seen children, men and women of all ages get their hair serviced there. I'm happy to have been recommended it!
