for our last lunch before leaving tofino, had to try this place which came highly recommended by a friend. immediately service was spot on. despite our big group which included kids, the staff had no qualms in seating us and making sure we were taken care of. of course i had to order the special of the house which was The Shed burger and its little brother Ricky Burger. daughter had the belgian waffles with whipped cream. oh yeah! the burger delivered as promised. juicy and succulent, the bun was a brioche one and was warmed up nicely, making it so soft and moist. the fries were just ok. some were soggy and fried a but too long, but at least seasoned well. There in-house beer was awesome. nice lager, smooth and crisp, similar to the lager from tofino brewing co. the waffles were average. nothing to rave about. presented nicely but nothing special about them. compared to most brunch places, the waffles were kinda small and flat. not fluffy enough to be considered belgian. a must visit when you come to tofino. ambiance very casual and welcoming, like a neighbourhood joint. cheers! happy eating! read more

Shed has a nice aesthetic interior and patio. We came in for a late lunch at 1 and they were quite busy but the service was fast. We ordered the chic burger and the pachamama bowl with seared tuna add-on. The burgers aren't too large but they're definitely enough. I really liked the chix burger, the chicken wasn't dry! The pachamama bowl was also really good with a variety of diff veggies! This was my favorite meal in Tofino. read more

We parked our truck. Had no plans of where to eat but alot of places were closed on a Tuesday in may but we stumbled across Shed, had no idea what it was but we were Totally blown away by this place! There was no hard ciders on tap which is my choice of drink but I got the ceaser and it was delicious! Then we chose the chicken lettuce wraps and they were to die for. Then we had the tempura tuna burger and the chix burger both were amazing. Not too huge which we actually prefer. The buns were so soft and held together even with the amazing sauces. The fries were great !! They have tons of napkins at the table. The cutest menus. The most adorable looks like added on section which we sat in. In summer it looks like the windows can all slide open and a big door opens for more air.. it was rainy today and no outdoor seating but they have it and lots of heaters for when it's a nice day! They had a heater going for customers that wait outside to be seated. Everything on the menu sounded really good. We might go back tomorrow to try something else and get those lettuce wraps again!! Thank you for being open and awesome! I think they have a takeout window too on the side of building and u can order online on the website it said. If they had delivery I would have it delivered to my campsite for dinner even though we just ate there for lunch! Lol and did I mention the service was awesome? And quick food! We had late lunch here after a morning of hiking in the the cold and rain, and fell in love with its warm and cozy atmosphere with friendly welcoming staff. The place was still busy and they were unable to seat us, a group of 8, in one table. Instead, they offered two options for us to either sit together in the bar or split into two tables of four in the heated and enclosed patio; and we took the second option, which was more comfortable. The menu is limited but offers comfort food of both West coast and Asian varieties. We ordered a salmon and kale salad bowl and an Indonesian chicken soup with egg noodles & a 6 minute egg. Both dishes were delectable, exceeding our expectations, with fresh ingredients and balanced tastes. For me, this place is worth 5 stars for its food and value, and a 4.5 for its service; hence, it's highly recommended. read more

A laid back style is OK but the staff here are just downright lazy. Chatting, laughing, happy are all great; but you need to serve the customers now and then. Service - I was hungry after a long day of work. Decided to get some dinner from Shed at their take out window. As I was waiting in line, I noticed the women taking orders was horribly rude to customers. I walked up to the window, and was greeted by her saying "What do you need" in a very rude tone. She was yelling and frankly, being disrespectful to customers. Everyone around the window was looking at each other and appalled by her customer service. Food - The fries were soggy, in all honestly, they tasted like microwaved leftovers. The rest of my dinner was delicious and the flavours were great. Now listen up people! This place has got to be the best shed I had ever eaten at! Came here twice on my surfing trip. Surfing was awesome, aside from that I got the chicken fingers on the kids menu. The first time I came here, Now I do consider myself a chicken finger enthusiast they were a thin batter with a bit of a crunch! So good made me bite my fingers eating them. What they put in those bad boys is absolutely beyond me. Now I get to the grand finale. The "Dirty Harry" secret menu item. It's a burger that simply consist of 3 pieces of cheese 3 patty's and some caramelized onions. I did get some meat sweats putting this bad boy down but I tell ya once she's down she ain't coming up. We were on our way somewhere else for breakfast when we passed the shed. It looked cool and inviting so we turned around and went there instead. It was worth it. The vibe in there is really relaxed yet upbeat. I had the yeti bowl. It was better than I expected it to be. The ricotta was a nice mix with the eggs and kale. Coffee was delicious, the servers were friendly. My only complaint was that the tables were too close. A couple was seated next to us and it was as if we were at the same table they were that close. Wife and I went there tonight for a bite. All COVID restrictions are in place. Sat outside, was a little chilly but the heaters worked well. I had Tofino Blonde Ale and wife raspberry sour. Both are very delicious. For an appetizer we had Britney Spears and those were delicious. Really crispy on the outside and the pickle was still crispy and juicy. For the main meal the wife had the El Capitan pizza. The pizza was very very salty I am not very good. I have the house burger with bacon and what not with fries. Both were absolutely delicious.
