Arrived on a rainy, cold afternoon, Shed was warm and cozy and we were seated immediately. I ordered a beer and the Boss a tea. We both ordered a Royale burger and were served within 10 minutes. A super tasty burger with fresh pickles and bacon as well as cheese and white onion. The fries were a good size and were an awesome fish and chip style, crispy outsides and fluffy insides. Had a great burger with a decent Tofino Collab. brew. Wouldn't hesitate to return and try poke bowl.

This is a must try spot in Tofino! There's only a handful of restaurants in town and you must stop by here! Wasn't expecting much from this restaurant but I was blown away! The crispy tofu is a great side packed with flavour! Not something I'd typically order at a burger joint but I'm glad I ordered it. Initially drove here for burgers but left with salads instead! I cannot get over how good they were! The flavours all paired so well! Ordered to go and our food was ready in maybe 30 minutes. The man that took our order was super sweet and made the process very convenient. There were plenty of seats for us to use while we waited and parking was easy. Will definitely come back here the next time we visit Tofino

On our first night to town, Shed did not disappoint. I always order the restaurant special and the butter buns were amazing. Takes a good bread to make the burger worthwhile. My partner had salad and he really enjoyed it. Our server was attentive and recommended a few hikes we'll be checking out before we leave. We definitely dressed for the weather without heaters and were really cozied up.

    Poke bowl-kid loved it!!

We really enjoyed our meals here--liked it so much the first time that we came back a second time too! There was a wait both times we went, but the wait was pretty fast. Food comes out quickly too which was a bonus especially with two kids. Good kids menu, and good food for adults too. Lots of outdoor seating with heat lamps, and indoor seating as well. Had the salmon kale bowl both times I went which had these delicious crispy puffed rice bits that added the perfect amount of crunch. Salmon was a little overdone the first time we went, but asked for it rare/medium rare the 2nd time and it was perfect. The salad was just a bit overdressed but still delicious! One kid had the little Rickie burger, which is same size as adult burger but none of the toppings. Other kid had the poke bowl which he loved, minus the seaweed. We will def be back if ever in tofino again!

We got really lucky with great weather and patio vibes! I had the chicken lettuce wrap which were delicious and the kids had a burger and tenders, both said very yummy!

Took a day drip over to Torino while staying in Ucluelet for a long weekend and found ourselves starving so we stopped at at the Shed for a nice lunch. We sat outside right next to a heat lamp that I was sure would overwhelm me with heat, but it ended up being quite nice. I ordered the poké bowl and based on the price, expected to get more food than I did. It was just enough food for the afternoon, but was a smaller dish than I was used to for the price paid. The ahi was sweet and tangy which kind of threw me off a bit. I think I was hoping for less tang and being able to taste more of the pure ahi flavor. Maybe a little more umami flavor? I don't know. It wasn't what I was hoping for. The giant mound of seaweed salad on top WAS, however, delicious and exactly what I wanted. The hubby got a burger and fries. He enjoyed the burger, in particular, the potato bun it was sandwiched in, and I quite enjoyed the few crispy fries he was willing to share with me :D Our waitress was very friendly and service was attentive and great. Overall, worth a visit if your party has a wide variety of food cravings. I dug the overall surf town vibe of this place.

It's cool burger dining. It's not fine but it's hip and simple and excellent. Service was friendly, vibe was cool. You can grab and go or eat outside or inside. Cool branding. I had the Royale burger and the Parmesan fries very good. Tried the mango martini which was good. Kids had some chicken which is also good and the tuna poke was yummy. Have wanted to go back every night since I ate there.

Good eats and great vibe! After a few hours walking around Tofino, this is a wonderful spot to grab a beer and burger. There can be a bit of a wait since it's not huge inside and have your vax cards available to show (and a good thing). Service was attentive and friendly, and some good tunes playing in the background. Now for the food... The chicken sando was stellar...with a great flavor, moist and crunch of the breading. I went for a side salad to be healthy with fresh green, light vinaigrette... but I had to tax some of the fries (fresh, crisp, right saltiness) from my kids meals. I can't let those really good, fresh fried spuds go to waste! I think these are better fries than Wildside Grill by the way. The spicy chicken sandwich was a hit. I can see why it recommended by the server. The poke bowl was flavorful but I'd personally stick to the handhelds. Beer selection was good and rounded out the meal. Definitely coming back the next time we're in the 'hood.

This family-operated establishment radiates an infectious, lively energy that immediately transports you to a quintessential beachfront eatery. Stepping inside, the first thing you notice is the captivating ambiance. The air hums with the joyful melodies of 1950s rock and roll, music that has an uncanny knack for putting a smile on everyone's face. Then, you're likely to be greeted by Big Daddy himself - a true master of his domain. His extensive knowledge of every menu item and the fresh, locally-sourced ingredients that go into them is genuinely impressive and adds a personal touch to your ordering experience. Their specialization spans an irresistible trio: succulent seafood, mouth-watering burgers, and perfectly crafted chicken sandwiches. My friend, Don, and I placed our orders and found a cozy spot, eagerly anticipating the buzz of our pager. When our food arrived, brought to us by a wonderfully cheerful and polite kitchen assistant, I was genuinely astonished. The sheer generosity of the portions and the impeccable presentation were truly a feast for the eyes. I indulged in a phenomenal chicken sandwich, generously topped with a crisp, homemade apple coleslaw and a creamy, tangy dressing. Accompanying this masterpiece were some of the freshest, most perfectly golden-brown French fries I've ever tasted. Don opted for a hearty serving clam chowder served with delicious house bread and a refreshing side salad. Each bite was a testament to the quality and passion Big Daddy's puts into their food. Our entire experience, from the warm welcome to the last delicious morsel, was nothing short of fantastic. I wholeheartedly recommend Big Daddy's Fish Fry to anyone seeking an outstanding meal, a vibrant atmosphere, and genuinely friendly service in Tofino. It's an unforgettable taste of coastal comfort.

I got the lingcod burger instead. While the price tag looks expensive, it the burger came with three nuggets of fish, which was more than fit on the bun - I took one off and ate the burger with just 2 pieces, and fish was still spilling out. Besides the fish, there was also a heaping of slaw and arugula on the burger. It was delicious - the fish was tender and flaky and the slaw was really good. The bun didn't fall apart even with a ton of stuff on it. The fries were standard shoestring fries and they were kind of greasy. I got a side of habanero hot sauce to dip them in and that was pretty good. It had a decent kick but not extreme heat. Dips are kind of pricy at $1.5-2 for a small cup, but ketchup is free at the tables. How it works is you order and pay at the entrance, take a buzzer and seat yourself, and get your food at the counter when the buzzer goes off. The older lady taking orders was very cheerful.

And of course there are TV's. They were a little busy when I visited on a Monday night but you didn't need a reservation to be seated right away. The service was good. My waitress was very friendly. While the food wasn't lightning fast, it took less time than I expected to get my entree after ordering given that they seemed busy, and my dessert came out very quickly. I had: Foragers martini: This tasted exactly as you would expect from the name. Spruce-flavoured anything was not actually in the ingredient list, but I would describe the flavour of the cocktail as "sprucey". It was pleasantly strong. Grilled wild sockeye salmon: My first thought was that this was a small portion for the price, but the huge plate was deceiving and this was actually a very satisfying serving with a large cut of salmon and a healthy heaping of farro salad. The salmon was cooked perfectly - I loved how the skin got crispy and flaky. The farro salad was hearty and delicious on its own or with the salmon, and the pickled fennel and the orange coulis were interesting compliments to enhance the dish. Chocolate basque cheesecake: I was going to choose this anyway, but my waitress also recommended it. This was a great basque cheesecake - rich with a slightly burnt crust. The candied hazelnut brittle totally elevated it. The slice was big enough to share, but it was really good and surprisingly not too heavy, so I finished it by myself easily. It was so expensive though... I was staying at the hotel so I got 10% off food, and even then I spent $80 after tip! I knew it was going to be expensive and decided to treat myself since it was my last night in Tofino, but I think without the 10% I would've gone somewhere else anyway. Even with the whole "elevated" thing and acknowledging that the food and drink was not at all what I would consider typical sports bar food, it felt so bad to spend $80 on one person at a place calling itself as a sports bar.
