I've had…read moreboth a foot massage and a deep tissue massage, and their masseuses are strong and get into the right knots. I came at a less busy time and got a walk-in for a deep tissue. I only had time for 30 minutes and my masseuse at the time went deep and made sure to check every one in a while to make sure I was okay with the pressure. I felt great after! Thanks again!

Have you ever gone to a "deep tissue massage" and thought it wasn't quite enough?? Typically, when…read moreI am getting a message, if the masseuse can't feel my organs, it's not hard enough. Cue Pain Away. This place was a wild 30 minute ride. I went in for neck pain after a colleague at the gym recommended it. I walked in and the only words exchanged were "how long?" "30 minutes" I reply. A woman spawned from nowhere and guided me to a room where she signaled to get undressed. I did so, laid down, and the massage begun. This woman came back in and I was tense for the next 30 minutes. She put her whole backbone into this massage. I was in a constant state of pain, letting out squeals here and there. Nevertheless, she persisted. At the end of the 30 minutes, she stopped as abruptly as she started. Sweet relief. I walked out to pay and she handed me water. It was nice. I waited until the next day to write this review because my neck truly does feel a LOT better. So, Pain Away did its job, and I would certainly come back!

They take walk ins. We've never had a wait and I really like the couples room they put us in. However, for the pricing specifically for deep tissue I did end up expecting a bit more. Overall, if you need something - these ladies will help but if you're a massage enthusiast maybe don't stop in.

I asked if there was someone else and she said the other person is sleeping in...weird. I ended up speaking mandarin so communication could be clear. First she asked me to pay before receiving service, then pressured me to pay in cash instead of card saying that it's not worth it to pay by card because of the extra credit card fee. Then she asked for a tip before I even got the massage. I gave $5 and she said "wow that's not very much" in mandarin. Then she proceeded to give me the massage which just felt like she was rubbing me with oil. She said she was going to use a particular oil that was more expensive and kept saying it's a special oil and she only uses it on special guests. Then asked for more tip at the end. I was uncomfortable the entire time given the social interaction with her and the massage was terrible. If you'd like to engage in awkward conversations while having someone rub you then this is the place to go.

The masseuse provided excellent pressure, but not too much to trigger contractions or induce labor. He was very careful and attentive. At the end of the hour I saw a huge decrease in the swelling of my feet and ankles. My stride greatly increased and the soreness decreased as well. I am so HAPPY I found this place. I'm tempted to go again tomorrow while the family is sight seeing. A diamond in the rough with reasonable prices. $1 a minute. If you pay in cash, no tax, which is an 8% savings off the services, a fee I would rather leave as a tip than to the state. Go! You will not be disappointed.

During the two-hour service I purchased, the masseuse left the room st least THREE times without closing the door, completely disregarding my privacy. Throughout the session, I could constantly hear dogs barking, other customers shouting, and loud conversations among the staff. The staff appeared to enjoy "gaslighting" male customers. Every time she came back from leaving the room, she kept telling me how generous other clients were(especially one WHITE man)how they wanted to buy her dinner or give her gifts. I endured it until the end, but I found it extremely inappropriate. I don't understand why, as a paying customer, I'm expected to develop a so-called "FRIENDSHIP" that involves giving gifts or treating the staff to meals. It's ridiculous. I paid for a massage, not for any other kind of "SERVICE." I am engaged, and this behavior is unethical. thank you if boss saw this msg,ur staff told me she does not receive any hourly wage, only tips. so pay ur staff hourly wage pls cuz she kept harassing me for not tipping her 50% !!!!!!! I tipped eventually cuz I don't want to put myself in a dangerous situation. Thank you SO MUCH for the great service!

No more random Groupons for me, I've found the real deal at Threshold Wellness. I have been going to Julia for a year and a half. She has helped me navigate my way though a very difficult time in my life in many ways. Even when she's not working on me, I still incorporate different techniques that she has taught me into my daily life that continue to make a difference. She is extremely talented, I highly recommend her to anyone seeking individualized treatment in massage, Myofascial Release, and Craniosacral Therapy. I have also taken a few of her very thoughtful workshops and would recommend them as well. I recently also started to see Sarah who was recommended to me by Julia. Although I don't want to limit Sarah's talents, the one word that makes me think of her is "strong." I never imagined that so much strength could come out of her hands. But it's much more than strength, she's thoughtful, thorough, and creates a wonderful balance throughout the session. I highly recommend Sarah.

Julia's professional, warm presence was reassuring at the beginning. She offered to explain what craniosacral therapy involved. During the alignment I felt comfortable and deeply relaxed. Thanks Julia, it was a wonderful experience.
