I walked in today to this store to ask a question about a product I had purchased and also purchase another item. The employee was on the phone since I got to the store. I figured that she would acknowledge me and at least let me know she'll be with me soon. No greeting, no acknowledgement of any kind, and she kept talking on the phone. I waited patiently, even pretending to be curious about other products, yet she seemed to just be focused on the conversation about how there were scheduling conflicts and problems with other employees. After 5 minutes of this, I walked out of the store and will not be back even though this was a convenient store location. read more

They sold me a defective brush that had the bristles stuck together. The manager didn't care and didn't want to exchange it or do anything. It seems like the products are old and sat for too long. Please check the expiration dates on whatever you buy. It's really unfortunate. I had to throw the brush in the trash. read more

Came to beauty supply, and was pleased with the customer service. And their variety in products. I was excited to see they had a lot of new collections. They had the NYX collection that i definetly had to purchase some items from. I was very impressed with one employee in particular, dawn. Who was biligualist as well as other employee's. She was able to help my mom in spanish so that was very nice. But over all im definetly returning because the staff is great, the prices are great. And it has everything you want. read more

I thought this place was awesome. Kind of a one stop shop for beauty supplies. One young lady was super informative..not super sales like...which made it more welcoming.. as soon as I walked in she asked if there was something I was looking for...my hair needs some tlc. So she recommended a few things..didn't spend much and they have a salon in the back..looks tempting just enough to get a hair blowout. She gave me a nice tip on using toner. So I'm excited to try these new products on myself. read more

When I walked in here, I expected this to be like a beauty supply outlet. Little did I know, they do hair here too?! Lol they sell all sorts of nail polishes, nail products, hair products; hair spray, hair shampoo, conditioner, and etc. The prices here are probably cheaper than the prices at local convenient stores. It's like $8 for an OPI nail polish in Albertsons and here you can find a lot of similar or branded products for such a good deal. The lady who greeted me here was very nice and patient. She did not push me to buy anything at all and she was informative when I had questions about the hair products. If you're into nail supplies or hair stuff, come check out this place! There's plenty of parking here and you'll probably pay a little less than retail. read more

I have literally just experienced the WORST customer experience of my life at this location. I was insulted and mocked. I'm still in shock by it all. I had previously bought color the day before and wanted to exchange it for something a shade lighter. When I began to describe my situation to the person at the front desk, who's a young girl named Nona, and she immediately insulted me from the get go. I said I "wanted something that will make my hair a little less less copper" she said "you mean brassy" (with a serious attitude) I ignored the rude comment and continued to ask questions about the different colors, after about 5 minutes with absolutely no help from Nona, I finally asked her what she thought I should do. And all she said was "well you can't exchange the color anyway because of the new covid policy". Perplexed, I then said "OK" And left. On my way out I didn't even get a "sorry about that, or "have a nice day." Just silence. She could have at least told me about the new policy before I wasted my time going over all the colors while she sat there and watched rolling her eyes. So I decided to call and ask to speak to a manager about it. Nona picked up the phone and said "he's not here" I said "ok do you know when he'll be back?" All I got was "no". I then asked her to take down my name and number so he could call me back, and her reply was... "no". At this point I'm really ticked off at the the blatant rudeness and so I informed Nona that this was the worst customer service I had ever experienced in my life, and that I'm a regular customer and spend a lot of money here. She then hangs up on me!!! Determined not to let this person get away with this, I went back in to the store, and asked to speak to one of the stylists in the salon portion of the store. This lady was really sweet and walked me back to the front desk to take my name and number down for the manager. At this point, Nona interrupts and says with her nasty attitude "he's not going to call her back". Both the stylist and myself looked at each other in shock. And then Nona proceeds to tell the stylist how I was the rude one and made up some lie about how I was yelling at her on the phone. I couldn't take any more of this persons caustic rudeness so I said "Nona I will speak to your manager about this and there's nothing you can do to stop it" as I'm walking out, she yells at me in a sarcastic tone "byyyyyyeeeeee". This is for real. I was really treated this way by a customer service employee. And all I can think about is that someone so hateful and rude has a job while millions of other wonderful customer service employees have been laid off due to covid. I am so disheartened by this and I hope the manager does something about it because this is just completely unacceptable. It is employees like Nona who run businesses in to the ground. I just hope the manager is smart enough to see that and terminates her immediately. I for one, will not return to this place unless that happens. read more

I love this place!!! I was there a few days ago to buy some hair products. Nonna was very helpful, And knowledgeable about the hair products I purchased. I also purchased some NYX cosmetics which is awesome, because it saves me a trip to the other stores and having to wait in line. I really love this place, it has everything I need as far as my beauty and hair products. I am beyond displeased with my recent shopping experience at Sheer Beauty. On my first visit two days ago, I was in search of a particular hair styling product. Upon walking through the door, the young girl behind the counter made eye contact with me, but she didn't even bother to smile, greet me, or welcome me into their establishment. She just gazed at me awkwardly. So, I immediately wrote off her lack of customer service and engagement due to being yet another clueless, awkward, anti-social Millennial who has no clue on how to even say a simple hello. There were other customers in the store, and after ten minutes of looking around, the clueless sales associate finally decided to approach me and ask if I needed assistance. I inquired if they carried a particular brand, and her blank gaze eventually led to a very cautious "no" response from her. So, I decided to purchase a similar product by another brand. $19.99 plus $1.85 sales tax, and I was out the door without even a "thank you" from her for patronizing their store. Over the course of the next two days, I eventually found the product I was searching for at a completely different establishment, and so I decided to return the product I purchased at Sheer Beauty. Upon returning to Sheer Beauty today, the same clueless associate was there and actually managed to say hello as I approached the counter. I informed her that I wanted to return my still-sealed, unopened hair styling product, to which she pointed at the bottom of my receipt about their no-refund policy. Here is exactly what it says at the bottom of my receipt, typed exactly how it reads and appears: "No refunds or exchange on electric tools care,make-up,color,brushes,nail polish,t" Nowhere does it mention HAIRCARE or HAIR PRODUCTS, according to the policy that is printed on my receipt. She then informed me that they don't take back any products and that they can only give store credit. I then asked her for corporate's number. She looked at me blankly and asked what I meant by "corporate." I'll admit I was starting to get irritated with her and my experience there, and I replied sharply, "You know, the telephone number to Sheer Beauty's corporate offices!" She really had no clue what I was talking about, and she responded sheepishly, "I don't know what their number is." For a split second, I thought to myself, "Well, why don't you ask someone or go look it up?!? I'm sure it's written down and posted somewhere! For Pete's sake, THINK ALREADY!!!" Being thoroughly disgusted with my shopping experience at this point, I just grabbed my receipt and styling product and walked out of there saying, "What an absolute joke of a business!" First off, I really really REALLY dislike businesses that have a flat-out no-refund policy for anything, even if the product is still sealed, unopened, and unused. I can understand if the product was opened, used, or tampered with in any way, but my product was never even opened. Had I known about their ridiculous no-refund policy, I would've never purchased from them. Secondly, any business establishment that does not attempt to honor a customer's satisfaction leads me to believe that they don't stand by the products and services they sell and are hurting for business so much so that they'll do anything to hold onto each dollar that comes through their doors. Typically, fly-by-night businesses have this kind of mentality and keep policies that ultimately dispell consumer confidence and customer satisfaction. And lastly, businesses that hire people without interpersonal skills need to realize that these socially inept people are the face of their company. Their rudeness and lack of social skills can actually drive customers away. In short, Sheer Beauty has just lost yet another customer due to their ridiculous policies and overall negative shopping experience. Don't buy from this place unless you are absolutely sure that you want or need the product, because you're never going to get your money back should you decide to return it for any kind of refund. You're better off patronizing a completely different establishment altogether. So, don't even bother wasting your time and money at this place. read more

This store reminds me of a candy store from when I was a little girl. They have all brands of beauty products you need, such as hygiene, hair, hair color, nail, make up, skin care, hot tools and you name it. To top it all of is their courteous, knowledgeable and bilingual staff who answer all your beauty questions. You can walk into a welcoming full service salon attached to the store with so many professional experienced stylists. I bought a hair product at the recommendation of the sales person. It was not what I expected so I tried to return it since it cost $45. There was nothing on my receipt indicating it could not be returned for a refund. When I tried, I was told the "no refund" policy was posted below my waist level and I could only get store credit. Who reads a sign on the floor? Don't buy from this store unless you are 100% sure on the product. Now I have a store credit I don't want to use because the store left such a bad impression on me. read more

The staff either doesn't know their own products or just doesn't know how to listen and/or read! I walked in this store looking for a nail product that will dry hard and help protect my damaged nails (from acrylics) while they grow out. The associate first suggested I buy a fungal treatment, then a product that thins out old nail polish so it can be used again. Neither or which were remotely close to what I was asking for. She selected the fungal treatment because the package said "strong", which meant strong formula. I said strong nails. She selected the polish thinner because it said "thin" on the package. I said my nails were thin. She was too distracted by a male associate to listen to what I was saying. She just took key words she heard and matched them to words in the packaging. I have been going to Sheer Beauty Supply for several years. One of the cans of hairspray I purchased would not spray. I took it back to the store to 'exchange' and was told I had to 'proove' my purchase by bringing in the receipt and there would be no exchange. I don't have time to go back and forth like this. I think customer service is key to keeping customers. I recently had the BEST customer service experience with ANOTHER COMPANY and I will be giving the OTHER COMPANY all of my business.
