It also gives off a bit of a dirty feel to it as well. Like it wasn't properly cleaned in a while. The bathrooms have a smell to them. The dining area looks as if there is a film on tables, and it is so dim inside.

Speedway has steadily been increasing their presence in the area and usually within distance to create competition with a nearby gas station chain. There is no difference in this area. New Alexandria has been kind of an oasis while driving Route 22 with it's one gas station that was open 24/7. With the addition of this station you now have a choice. Speedway is similar to the competition up the road in several ways. Open 24/7, offers food, and has a wide selection of items that you can grab and go. However this spot has a couple variations. First they offer diesel for the bigger vehicles on the roadways, so the lot is larger. Another is that they offer a sit down area to eat your food. Speaking of the food. Some of the items are heavy on the stomach and others are sparse on the toppings. Quick in the sense that once you order, by the time you pay your items are ready for pick up. One thing I do not like about this place is the fact that you do not seem to get great gas mileage from the fuel. Once I filled up here and went on my way, I basically needed to fuel up the next day. In my travels what would be a complete circuit for me, I used a half a tank of gas. Not great when I usually use much less than that. In the future, I will go elsewhere for fuel for my car, but I may end up stopping in for a quick item of fuel for myself.

They said that the alternator was bad also, so we agreed to change that. We never got any update calls from them. We had to repeatedly call them again and again to get any information on the car and at what stage in the process it was. One of the times I called, they stated that the alternator in the Mazda was very rare and could only be bought at one place in the entire United States and that it would take a while to arrive. Never heard from them again after that. When I finally called to check up, they kept saying it wasn't here yet. When I spoke with a friend who used to work there and is still friends with them, he said that the part did come in and it was just sitting, and they said to the friend that they didn't have time for it. I had to keep calling to check up. They would always say whoever was working on my car wasn't in or wasn't available. I never got to speak to the owner like I had asked to repeatedly. Then they told me that the car was all put together, but that for it to pass inspection the battery had to run through certain cycles. They said they would get the car to where they needed it to be so they could pass it. Every time I would call, they would state that it wasn't cycled all the way through yet. Then one day when I called to check up, they stated that they actually don't offer that service and that we have to drive it ourselves. So we still had to pay a little over $1,300 and the car still needed to be taken to another mechanic in the area to be completed, it's a shame. Linda and Ralph play around in the office and don't relay the correct info, lie to the owner about everything. It's sad that the owner doesn't even know what's going on in his own office. Overall, we would never recommend this business. The front desk staff is extremely rude and they lie. I consider this company to be dishonest and not trustworthy. Don't take your vehicle here, you're honestly better off at any other mechanic in the area! I would give them zero stars if I could. It was that bad.
