This is one of my favorite local coffee chains. My shop that I visit is in Fox Chapel. They have so many flavors year round and are always making something new to feature both coffee based and something for non-caffeine drinkers. They sell local goodies from small businesses like cookies from cafe illumina and Chocolate bars from fat cats chocolate. My favorite drink to order is an iced lavender oatmilk latte. You can purchase beans from them if you want to make some at home. I love that they roast their own beans at a local plant! There are a few tables for sitting and drinking on site in a casual environment with pictures and holiday decorations. The owner and all of the baristas are so friendly!!!

When I walked in here I really thought I had been in this style coffee house before. I was right. Coffee tree roasters is a chain throughout the Pittsburgh area. Most of the menu consists of lattes, mochas, and some tea. They let me sample today's coffee selections. I ended up with Costa Rico which was a decaffeinated blend. All along the back wall they sell chemex, various coffee equipment etc. They also have a wall devoted entirely to teas along with tea pots. Premium and pricey roasts are in the far corner. They have a small selection of baked goods which they told me comes from various bakeries. They had samples of pumpkin biscotti which I tasted. It was to die for! They have a small seating area and of course WiFi. I was having some difficulty connecting to it as I was being thrown off due to other networks. I eventually managed to get into theirs. They coffee is okay. Nothing to write home about but a good alternative if you want to avoid the more popular chains. It sits around the corner in the Fox Chapel strip mall.

I know my coffee and Coffee Tree Roasters gets a 2 snaps and hands held high. I can't believe it took me so long to sample and fall in love with their coffee. I love Starbucks for their tea but Coffee Tree has a wide variety of freshly roasted beans and I've never had a bad cup here. Quite frankly, each new flavor of the day I try tends to get better and better. Some of my faves have been the Papua New Guinea, Sumatra and Vienna Roast. These are the medium roast varieties which serve my purpose of waking up well. I love how you can take in these flavors and easily differentiate the the variance in balance and strength. The coffee is never bitter and tastes fresh regardless of when I visit. I also love the fact that they have the little stickers that cover the coffee lid hole---so cute and fun. It must be said that this place prides itself on freshly roasted beans. If you want to brew your own at home, they have a huge menu for you to select from. There also are teas, coffees, chocolates and a gift section near the check out area. It's a very cozy space and would be nice to catch up with a friend or two. Keep in mind that the seating is limited here so you may need to wait for a table if you plan on enjoying their goodies in house. Be forewarned that their baked treats are to die for and they tempt you with samples on the counter. If you try a sample be prepared to have thoughts of sugarplums dancing in your head throughout the day along with wondering why you just didn't buy a whole piece of whatever you tasted. The service here is fast, efficient and friendly. Heck, I've been in a line back to the door with 1 worker at the counter who managed to serve everyone quickly.

Excellent espresso, with quick service. Priced right too. Parking can be a little tricky but worth the stop.

One of the best latte's I've ever had. Damn good I tell you. And they even put a little heart with the cream. What do you know.

This place is really small, so its best to grab and go. They have really good scones, cookies, and beans. A bit pricey.

As always, this is a staple for my first stop while home visiting. The parking was rough and I sure hope something gets figured out but if I have to drive around for 20 min until someone moves, I'll do it! Especially for what's inside. I picked up 2 cold brews for my bff, banana pudding for my pops and for me a cookie butter pudding (I think) for myself. To top it off I picked up a banana smores iced latte. No wonder this place is a diamond in the rough. I have never and I mean never had anything bad here. And it def put a smile on my face that the owner knew who I was and knows my love for her business. Please do yourself a favor and go here. Take a day drive and try it out. I promise you - you will not be disappointed.

Underestimated how expensive two sandwiches and two drinks would be ($50 including tip). I can see why this little place people will drive for. The sandwiches were really good. The vampire slayer was actually my fav with that jam just fire. The drinks were mediocre. Nothing to brag about. I loved seeing their premade foods. Everything looked absolutely delicious. The employees were hopping because we must have came at a busy time. All in all, I could have split a sandwich with my wife and still be full. I could have gotten a drink cheaper at Starbucks, although they have a plethora of drink choices which was neat to see. If you're going to make a visit, be patient with the parking. Don't be a jerk and block someone in!

This coffee shop is located right on Freeport Road in Blawnox. The inside is cozy, with photos on the walls, a couple of pastry cases, and a wall full of plants and plant-themed artwork. The bright wood tables, arranged in a herringbone pattern, paired nicely with the baby blue chairs and gave the shop a welcoming feel. After seeing that they exclusively served Rosa beans and seemed very proud of that, both my wife and I decided to order Americanos. My wife chose hers iced while I went with mine hot. My daughter ordered a cinnamon swirl, and I added a chicken empanada. About five minutes later our entire order was ready, and we headed back to the car. I started with the empanada. It had a nice flaky crust, and the chicken filling had good flavor, although it was a little on the dry side. My daughter didn't share her cinnamon swirl, but she assured me that it was good. After finishing my empanada, I moved on to my coffee and thought it was excellent. It opened with a touch of bitterness before settling into a smooth, rich coffee flavor that I really enjoyed. I was hoping to pick up some distinctive varietal notes on the finish but wasn't able to find any. Even so, it was still a very enjoyable cup of coffee. My wife also enjoyed her iced Americano. The bottom line for me is that I would head back here again in the future. Both my wife and I enjoyed our coffees, and the food made for a nice accompaniment as well.

My husband and I ate one breakfast here on a Saturday morning. An employee immediately and courteously greeted us and seated us at a clean and spacious table. Soon she took our order and brought out our drinks and foods. At the end of the meal, she promptly processed our payment and thanked us. Here are my ratings for what my husband and I ate: Turkish Plate - 4.5 stars - I think that Gino might be Turkish, and this entree was one of the few Turkish menu items. It consisted of scrambled eggs, black olives, two cheeses, sliced tomato and cucumber, French fries, toasted bread, jelly, honey, and butter. Fruit Tea Waffle - 5 stars - A waffle was topped with Nutella, bananas, strawberries, blueberries, and powdered sugar. The fruits were very fresh, abundant, and sweet. On the side was whipped cream. Egg-bacon Omelet - 4 stars - My husband ate this omelet, and he thought that it tasted good. It was a good size, and it contained bacon, onions, and mozzarella cheese. On the side were three plain pancakes. Orange juice - 4.5 stars - This orange juice contained some purple and tasted fresh.
