Unfortunately, Monica didn't seem to be up to date on the actual policy. As of April 2025, the DEA and HHS have officially extended the COVID-era telemedicine flexibilities through December 31, 2025. This means DEA-registered providers can legally prescribe Schedule II-V medications via telehealth without an in-person visit (under the right conditions, which mine met). I used to go in person every time, so I'm not trying to cut corners. I'm just asking for fair treatment and for pharmacists to stay informed--especially when people's health and well-being are on the line. We'll be taking our prescriptions elsewhere. Be careful--your access to necessary medication shouldn't come down to whether the person behind the counter has read the latest DEA memo.

Also it would be a nice respite from the heat stepping in somewhere that had the AC running. This CVS is situated on a busy intersection on Route 30 in Latrobe. It actually sits on the corner of what used to be a drive in theater. We all remember when that drive in had on their sign "We did not sale to Target." Instead, they had this corner go to CVS. Although CVS does not take a lot of room on the lot, they made it a decent sized store with a pharmacy drive thru. Inside the store is well organized and clean. Allowing you to find exactly what you need and make your way on your day. I did browse a bit while in here just to see if there was anything I might need and didn't have in mind. After I browsed, grabbed what I needed, and had enough of the comforting AC, I made my way to the registers. I had a bit of a wait, because out of the number of registers they had, they only had one register open. Once the line started to be moving, it was smooth sailing.

As far as the ladies in the front of the store? I see them all the time. In fact, they've taken my business from everybody else. This is an excellent store. I actually feel fairly comfortable going here. And trust me... I do not like going to the store. The lighting is horrible though. That's true. It's only place that's worse than Wallgreens. I'm in and out pretty quickly. But then again, the whole world has gone flickering fluorescent or LED.

Their reason was their order came in on Wednesday, but because the employees hours were cut, they didn't have time to unpack the order. I am leaving town for the weekend and will return on Monday. I fortunately have just enough of my medication to get me through Monday. At no time did I get an email saying the prescription would be delayed. It was listed as "out of stock" on my account. I feel the very least that should have been done was to receive a text or email explaining the situation. I had explained to the lady pharmacy clerk that I shouldn't be billed no more than $4.00 for each of my prescription except for 1 prescription. So she resubmitted the prescriptions that weren't going through correctly again and she was able to get my prescriptions covered. If she had not tried to resubmit my prescriptions I would not have been able to pay for the prescriptions and would have to go without them. I am so very thankful that the employee was not a computer or automated system because I would have not been helped. I will keep using the Walmart Pharmacy and recommending them.
