Sheetz has a new hot dog. The Big Glizzy ! A jumbo size Nathan's All Beef dog. It is fantastic!! You can get them 3 ways - all American , chili cheese dog or custom. They are a 2 handed dog so don't think you can order , fill up with gas and eat the dog while driving. If you do it will be supper messy!! lol Excellent hot dog - worth the 3.99 price. Way to go Sheetz ! Not if they just upgrade the regular hot dogs that would be even better . If you haven't tried the new Big Dog - stop in and try one !! I figured one more Sheetz run stop before heading to the Sheetz desert that is the DMV. I had no real reason to stop here other than to just stop. However, I did end up going into the store and grabbed something which may or may not have caused a stopped up ahead. I was feeling like I needed a caffeine boost. I don't do coffee, but I do tea. I grabbed myself a sweet tea from the cooler. Opting for the self checkout made for this impromptu stop quick. I didn't really need this tea, but I felt like it would preoccupy me until my next stop. The lot is huge, and a bit confusing. Which I think is a thing in Winchester. There always seems to be some confusion in the Sheetz lots. read more

Out of all the gas stations (aside from Bucees, which I don't count as a gas station) that I've been to in my life; Sheetz is by far my favorite. Sadly, we don't have them in Tennessee so I've only had the pleasure to visit when traveling to see family east of us. I'm a simple person; I like straightforward, easy-to-understand BAM in your face with instructions kind of places. The last thing I want is to have to Sherlock Holmes a biscuit order after driving for 12 hours. Sheetz has multiple ordering kiosks that are very easy to understand and a wide variety of pre-made items if you do not want to wait. Because of the expanded variety when using the Kiosk, I will usually choose it. You can mix/match and get anything you can dream of in the form of a biscuit/croissant/sandwich. Among other types of foods, I will hold off for hours just to stop here and fill up on my road trip back and forth. The staff are always pleasant if you have to deal with them, the gem is that you do not except at the register. Place your order on the Kiosk then grab your food when it is ready and go pay, they will have you in and out in no time. The restrooms are always clean and available as well as a large number of gas pumps ready and functioning 24/7. Stop at the Sheetz when you can, you will not be disappointed. read more

Out of all of the gas stations in town, this one is my preferred. With friendly employees and the deliciously cooked made-to-order food items, this place is my daily go-to. The food compared to a restaurant may not be more desirable but for quick on-the-go food it's actually very tasty. The gas pumps are always functioning at a rapid speed. The air pump is free and pumps air quickly. With a wide selection of drinks and food this location is highly recommended whether it being during your travels or just in your daily routine. The gas prices are not ridiculously overpriced at this time. I highly recommend this Sheetz location. We visit this location every single week. I recommend trying the cheeseburgers and hot dogs. Sheetz's are located all throughout the Mid Atlantic states and besides a large gas and convenience stores, also feature some unique items such as excellent espresso and made-to-order rapid food. I prefer these to any other fast food outlet. This one in particular, on a snowy day as I was glad to leave the mountains, was a welcome respite for my pup Tango and I. Since Sheetz has sugar-free flavors for coffees I thought it would be a good place to go for an icy coffee drink. After navigating the mto kiosk and paying, my order came up as a coffee w/ iced cubes, not an icy-coffee like a slurpee. I said to the person making the drinks that I thought it would be a blended drink and he said that I ordered iced and I should have orders frozen (to me frozen would be more like a milk shake). I told him that I didn't know that and that I couldn't drink that. I had the nerve to ask him if he could put it in the blender and he was kind enough to talk to me like I was 2 years old and tell me that it was a completely different drink. In the tone of- How did I not know that? Yes, I ordered the wrong thing but for cripes sake give a person a break. There is no international standard for coffee drink lingo and since I don't make drinks for a living I made a mistake by confusing iced with frozen. I couldn't get my money back so I'm out $3.59. Needless to say, I'm not going back to Sheetz, and that is a shame now that I have been introduced to the world of iced vs frozen beverages. The ONLY reason I'm not returning is not because I didn't get a freebie do-over drink, but because the guy was a complete condescending jerk. This location has limited indoor seating One thing about Sheetz is that they are consistent. Food is made to order and you put your order at a kiosk and specify how you want your sandwich done. They have other food items too. They have a complete line of soft drinks. Their made-to-order milkshakes are about the best around. read more

The chicken was only so-so and the service was terrible. In all fairness the location is new and the staff was poorly trained. As orders went in the staff's only response was to stare at the monitor. Incomplete orders sat on the counter indefinitely. One by one, customers waiting for orders inquired about the delays. Someone who appeared to be management sat at a table having a meal. After finishing his meal he finally went back to the kitchen. At this point I had been standing at the pickup counter for 25 mins. I had decided to go to the cashier to ask for a cancellation when they finally called my number. Some of the items were cold as they had been sitting on the counter. Staff appeared to only be concerned with the monitor. They were visibly annoyed when people asked about their orders. At that point I had been waiting 34 minutes since I paid for my food. When I got home the chicken was dry and crumbly. No seasoning. If I go there again it will be for the gas. read more

Sheetz is vastly better than any convenience stores we have back in SC. The MTO (Made To Order) counter makes QT's Fresh Kitchen look like a piddly little hotdog stand. The food quality is far more superior than what one would expect from a gas station and there are many more customization options for the burgers, sandwiches, etc. The prices are better than most fast food restaurants. At this particular store, there's a very fun and personable gentleman who cracks jokes and makes the wait time in line go by quickly. This sort of positive attitude and great service mentality is what all persons in customer service should strive for. When you can't have a Wawa... you might as well have a Sheetz. Still way better than any Royal Farms or 7-11, Sheetz is a great place to stop for some gas, drinks, and some decent food. We use this Sheetz at least once a month as it is right on the route to visit family. Previously, it was a nice spot that was convenient, had everything we needed, and was OK for customer service. They've recently torn up the place and are building a whole new spot; the new building is absolutely fantastic, with more room, better controlled lines, and a nice selection of whatever convenience you need. So, if you're on the road or just out late at night near Winchester-Berryville, VA this Sheetz is an A-OK spot to stop. read more

This a decent location. The one guy (sorry , not sure of his name) is very efficent and a good multi-tasker. My latest experience was with buying lotto tickets. Normally I would ask for change and use the machine. But the machine has been down for over a week(not acceptable). The guy served is fairly new. He stated that he wasn't thoroughly trained on lotto after he had to call the manager to help out. This is my only complaint towards management. Also a woman walked in and asked when the machine will be fixed. Other than that everything is fine. I've worked mini mart retail before, but please train your employees thouroughly. read more

I was with my family this evening after a trip to Tennessee. We usually stop at the Sheetz in Winchester VA (store 207) for gas, snacks and refreshments. Tonight while all 12 of us were at Sheetz my mom saw the Orange-a-ritas and Pine-a-ritas in the can which are flavors she hasnt seen in Maryland...she decided that was be refreshing for later this week. When she went up to the register to buy snacks, drinks and the 2 drinks with her husband my brother walked up behind her not thinking it was a problem because the whole family was inside the store. He's 20. Because he walked up as she was being ring up the cashier asked for his ID and as my mom stated he isn't buying anything and denied her service. To me it seemed like she was being profiled as someone who would give alcohol to a minor . Her underaged son at that. The assistant manager stepped in and she was very short with us saying she supported this decision. When we asked if the 1 year old baby, her grandson was with us was at the register would we be denied and we were told "that's different". How? Even when her son walked away ,she was still denied the purchase of 2 drinks. The cashier rushed us out of the store throwing their arms up in the air because there was a line starting to form and other patrons were also questioning this decision Sheetz made. The whole interaction was rude on your employee's end and I will reconsider stopping at Sheetz again and inform other and everyone after my family was profiled unjustly. read more
