This place checks all the boxes for a cozy coffee shop. I went with one of their seasonal lattes - Maple Brulee. It was lovely. The milk was dense and creamy and the sweetness level was perfect. They offer Ceremony Coffee which is an amazing local MD roastery that I use myself! The high ceceiling property, the nice soft lighting and the decorations! Espresso Bar and Cafe made a lasting impression after my first visit last summer. I was driving up I-81 last weekend feeling like I needed some coffee as I neared the Winchester exit. As a sudden detour, I hopped off the highway and drove to Old Town Winchester. This visit I ordered a cold brew and a blueberry muffin. Both were delightful. Last year I had a breakfast sandwich and recall loving it too. They have a great selection of goods including gluten-free pastries. The interior is warm and inviting, service is fast, the bathroom is clean, and the location couldn't be better. They're a 5-star stop for me when in the area! read more

My go to spot for coffee when I'm passing through Winchester. This is also my favorite place for chai. The gingerbread is very good as well as a year round specialty one but I can't recall the name. This place isn't over the top with anything they have - in fact it's very quaint and humble and I am here for it. When you walk in you are welcomed with low light and a cozy feel accented by lamps, little sitting nooks, and a subtle scent of espresso. I chose an orange poppy seed slice from the pastry case and it was lovely, so much so I didn't think to snap a picture. I also got the pictured pumpkin patch latte below and found it to be perfectly balanced and on the less sweet side which I appreciate. This place had such a cute interior that I could instantly see why she loved it! We all ordered different coffees, my classic being the americano, and everything came out delicious! I love the fact that they have customized holders for your coffee as well that adds a nice touch to it! Also, you won't burn your tongue, even if you take a sip of your hot drink right after they give it you. Unique experience and cute interior. I really enjoyed the date coffee and chai latte.

I don't usually give one star reviews but the service here was so bad I was left no other choice. I have been coming here for a few months, making me a regular customer of the cafe, each time usually grabbing a bite and an overpriced coffee. This time however, I took the time to bring in my laptop and work, as the majority of customers here do. You can see my confusion when I was approached twice from an employee saying "we are a small business, not a free-internet cafe", basically implying I must purchase something in order to stay. This was not even 15 minutes of me sitting down. The problem I have is they have no sign whatsoever that states you must purchase from them to stay. What really irks me is I have been a regular customer here for months and this is the appreciation I get; it really shows the character of the owner. On top of this, their menu pricing was just plain incorrect, so you don't know how much you're paying for until the order is placed. A little more respect for customers would be my recommendation, or signage stating the "pay to use" feature of the cafe would be my recommendation. read more

There aren't that many sit-down/study/play catch-up cafes in Winchester... but I'd like to espresso my love for this little bar and cafe. It's quaint, adorable, and quite cozy. The staff and baristas have always been charming and very pleasing to chat with. Locals with great tips and suggestions for things to do or eat. It's like they know what's in before it's even out. Huge supporters of local artists and I like that. Coffee is good. One of my favorites is their chai latte. The barista who made my chai latte was quite handsome as well. Decent standard pricing. Wide selection of teas. They could have a few more wall outlets if you're hoping to stay long and do some work. However, you can also just escape the virtual world and grab one of their comfy chairs and read a book. Other than that... I fancy the atmosphere that this little cafe brings. Came across this place on Yelp and navigated my way over. The place is set in a walking street (no cars) - so you'll need to find a place to park and then walk. The inside of the place is cool and inviting. Would be a nice place to get out of the house for a while and work. Ordered a large iced coffee - with room for cream. INCREDIBLE. We were driving through from Boston and found this gem. Even though we have the north end, it's so much better than what we have back home. The owner is from Italy and we felt like he transported us there with his delicious espresso and authentic food. I wish we lived closer so we could come here every day.
