It is very comfortable clean Hawaiiana Style ( IYKYK) (for that reviewer that said dirty-smelled obviously doesn't stay in Hawaii or has never stayed on the islands very often) , anyways-its perfect for two or three people. A big bed with a pull out couch. She stocks everything for the stay from TP to drinks to goodies, breads, sweets, fruit , left in the microwave, on dishes, including anything and everything you would need to have a wonderful stay. No not 5 course meals!! But your in a suite hello?? thank you Janice for a beautiful place to stay, your generous hospitality, and your such a sweet soul . We definitely coming back as we come. every couple years our Ohana is here. My husband is very particular and he liked it so thank you again, You will not be disappointed . fyi... it is up about 10-13 ( not sure) stairs , Property is a Garden Oasis. ( it smelled old) I love the beach so much it was only 10 minutes walk. and there is a breakfast that is enugh for two . Fruit basket.. We did not get to talk, or communicate with the hostess at all. which is not a bad or a good thing. five star for location one star for the condition of the room. There was towels, enough napkins no waters or filter and the kitchen tool was so outdated like 50 years old, also carpets, beds etc. I honestly did not want to leave a review on yelp.cuz i did on Airbnb, but Yelp keep bringing up this place to review, and I did not appreciate the response on rbnb . I am not shaming the hostess, because she took care of every detail, except of the cleaning which is very important to me

I stayed here for two nights in March of 2022, and wish I could have stayed longer! The first day,…read moreI thought I was guaranteed to see an apparition, given the house was built in 1914, the history of Mānoa Valley, and the turreted Victorian architecture. But the more time I spent here, this house grew on me. I was lucky to have the Davies room on the third floor (note that there are no elevators, and there are no plans to add ADA access because the house is on the National Registry of Historic Places). Awesome view of Waikīkī at sunrise and golden hour. Being 6'1" the bathroom can be awkward with its placement under a steep-sloped gable, requiring me to stand a little closer to the shower head and sink. The house has that smell like grandma's house, but it's expected with any wooden building this old. Top-notch antiques decorate every corner in a tasteful way. The saltwater pool is an added comfort, and the breakfasts made to order by Tomomi and her daughter is plain ol' good homecooking. Owner Scott Glen put a lot of money, time, and sweat into making this place wonderful. The five ducks, cat, and miniature pinscher are fun housemates!

It was private and cooling. I was lucky to have the inn pretty much to myself. I was afraid that it would be haunted but I felt a welcoming atmosphere throughout my stay. I took the John Guild Suite. I felt sad to learn John Guild had embezzled money from the Dillingham company to build this house. He was caught and had to turn the home over to the Dillinghams -- had a quiet evening after having an Italian dinner at a nearby restaurant. Was very quiet and I slept very well. The family that took over the inn was very pleasant and created a terrific breakfast in the morning. I will be returning when I can. You would need to climb stairs if u want the John Guild or Dillingham suites. I did see a clown loach in the aquarium. Haven't seen one in ages and remembered that in the wild they can grow very large. Checking out was done smoothly and felt refreshed to begin the work week again

I have contacted the owners of this B&B Jona & her son Hogan. I was told they are doing the housekeeping laundry - which is a big flat lie - there are no guests doing their laundry. I have sent messages via text & phone cal - no answer -finally, I was able to contact the Hogan on the Airbnb email . Hogan answered my emails & basically gave excuses why the washer was / dryer is occupied - no time or when the washer & dryer will be emptied. I find this 100% bad customer service No one is on property - i don't like being ignored - just words up - keeping Yelp customers informed - Big Complaint Mrs C disliking Payapa Paradise - and - unhappy - I still need to wash/dry only one load.

The two air conditioned rooms in which one can stay are attached to the home of the kindly proprietor, Jeanette, and encircle a jasmine-scented lanai and pool. All of the amenities I needed--sufficient outlets for my electronics, a TV, towels, lots of toiletries, a fridge for my leftovers, free parking--were on hand. If you're looking for a good breakfast, though, you'll need to go into the cute town that's three minutes away.
