    Biscotti & pumpkin bread

Such a perfect, cozy coffee shop! I've heard from the locals that any Shelburne Falls cafe has the best coffee and I am here, as an outsider, to say I seem to agree. It's strong and hot and not bitter. I've only ever stopped in at very not busy times so there never seems to be a wait. I of course had to try some of the pastries, because my sweet tooth would not allow me to leave without a little something. Can confirm that the pumpkin bread and the biscotti are delish and both pair perfectly with a hot latte. They had some tables, but I just grabbed my coffee to go. Worth a stop in!

Terrible experience. There was no one in the shop when we got there at 4 on a Saturday. Simple order, 2 coffees took 19 minutes to prepare. Loud music blasting and the entire place was strewn with every kind of trash from rubber bands to napkins to loyalty cards, crumbs etc. disgusting. Will never go back.

This is like my 800000th visit to Shelburne Falls Coffee. I'm such a massive fan of everything they make, from their delicious cold brew to their delicious sandwiches, you really can't go wrong. Plus they just dropped their new fall offerings (pumpkin spice is back!). If you're in the area, definitely stop by for a cold brew. You'll thank yourself later

Imagine the most quintessential New England coffee roaster, where you feel entirely taken care of the minute you walk through the door -- and Shelburne is just that. The coffee options! The milk/"milk" options! Free samples! Free take/leave book library! Postings for goods and services! Cozy study nooks! Free wifi! Communal work or chatting tables! 40's ballads crooning overhead! I am charmed to the Nth degree. Their Buckland breakfast sandwich on a croissant is so nom -- it's essentially a sausage, egg, and cheese but -- or just wait, there is maple syrup drizzled inside like it happened accidentally as a kid when you overflowed your pancakes with syrup so it ran into your eggs and sausage - only here, it's just wrapped up for you ready to go in it's own singular perfection. Their Christmas Mocha is delicious -- other than the fancy bubbles on top I'm not sure I taste a real difference than a normal mocha but it's still perfectly balanced as a mocha! Shelburne's was recommended to me by a old friend who grew up in the area and just recently moved back -- and I am so grateful to have checked out this gem. Don't let the strip mall, big box neighborhood fool you! If you want a slice of New England independent shops that is clearly dedicated to building and sustaining local communities, Shelburne is the spot!

Cozy vibe, but on a major street, not in downtown setting

My favorite coffee shop in the area...not as loud as some of the other spots. Great coffee and nice place to meet friends or work.

This menu was very varied (there's something for everyone) and it definitely enticed me to go back for more! The breakfast sandwich I got was the Chipotle breakfast sandwich (forgot the exact name) and it was very tasty and filling. The price point is definitely a bit high so be prepared to spend if you're coming with multiple people, but I do appreciate the variety of coffees and teas available. The servers and baristas were very sweet and helpful when guiding me during my first visit there. If you're looking for a quiet coffee shop to get some work done, this is definitely worth a try. I didn't get to try any of the pastries but I will definitely be back to explore the rest of the menu! 4 stars just because of the high price point, but the quality of the items is very good.

I've never been to a place with such a friendly staff and a wide variety of coffee and food before. If I had to pick my favorite thing about this shop, it's the staff. Me and my boyfriend became regulars at this shop, and they always treated us with a big smile, asked how our weeks have been, and just over all seemed to genuinely care about us as customers and people. They would always be so excited to show us the new season menus, as we always tried the whole menu when it came out; they always wanted our opinions on the coffee. I buy my coffee beans from this shop, even still now that I don't live in Massachusetts anymore. If you're looking for a coffee shop in Amherst, this is definitely the best around.

This time we ordered a Large Blanco pizza which was great because there was plenty to take home for lunches throughout the week. I had the Tex-Mex burger for the first time. It came with a choice of house-made black bean burger, Impossible patty or Beyond patty. I chose the Beyond and I'm really happy I did because it was so good. Normally I would suggest a Cubano sandwich but they were out chick'n and waffles is great too. But today the burger really hit the spot. I had my choice of fresh greens or roasted potatoes which was a no-brainer. These potatoes are the best. I ordered a second order for my Mom to take home. She loves them. Imagine biting into a firm roasted potato skin with a velvety buttery mashed potato inside. Yeah, it's that kind of good! Today was a bonus, I accumulated enough points for a free small pizza of my choice! Heck yeah, that heats up nicely back home for lunches at work during the week. We might have loaded up on desserts... cookies, chocolate mousse, cupcakes, rice pudding, pastries. Oh yes, it's dangerous! There is seating inside and outside in nicer weather. Order at the counter and pay, take a number, find a table and they will deliver your meal to the table. Don't forget to tip your servers! Also check out their grocery and refrigerated section!

Black bean burger was fine; patty on the small side and dry; glad I added sauteed onions. I didnt want to use the aioli sauce; wouldnt be dry if you use the sauce. Bun was terribly dry; I took one bite and decided not to eat the rest of the bun (was it a GF bun?). I'm thankful to have found this vegan restaurant. If you order the black bean burger, get a lot of toppings.

We had our pup with us, so spots where we could sit down were even more limited, but luckily, a lunch at Familiars was only a very long line away. While the group waited outside at one of the sidewalk tables, I went inside to order at the counter. I got the chicken salad sandwich and have to say I was so surprised by how delicious it was. I'm not from here, so from just the outside and where you order, I thought they were a cafe first with food options, but nope. Definitely wrong, they make a great sandwich. And the coffees were also delicious! Baristas and team were all friendly, the space inside was very cool, cozy and comfortable and they had plenty of outside tables as well. You order at the counter and they will bring all of the food out to you, you also grab your own waters inside. A nice mix of casual and service. If I was local or visiting when I needed a space to bring my laptop and get some remote work done, this seems like a great option.

To be fair there's plenty to like about this place but the fall from grace is both unfortunate and was avoidable. It boils down to a poor decision to change coffee brands from the excellent Counter Culture to some small batch, no name mediocre choice. Perhaps when this small roaster goes out of business, they'll switch back. They've fortunately stuck with Iggy's for breads and treats and the service and vibe remain strong.
