    Breakfast Monster
    Enit S.

Mom and I came to the skinny pancake having seen it on the way to Trader Joes. I'm a big fan of crepes and it was lunchtime, but we were still able to order off the breakfast menu. I'll start off by saying that the staff was very nice. I told them it was our first time there and she sat us down, told us to look over the menu and then order at the counter when we were ready. We ended up sharing the breakfast monster crepe and also the eat your greens salad. I can honestly tell you that the eat your greens salad was one of the best salads I've had. its so simple but so delicious and packed full of flavor. The lettuce leaves were extremely fresh, and the dressing was homemade. The crepe was also good, not the best I've had but it was good. Honestly the winer for me was that salad. We also ordered some hot drinks and I was surprised to find that they have organic coffee, really good. and their honey is legit, not the fake stuff. I know some of the other reviews were complaining about the pricing on things but its obviously better quality as well. You can taste it for sure. I will say that the one thing I didn't like was the fact that the tables/chairs are so close together. We were sandwiched in between two families with children and it was really hard to relax. We had to listen to one family complain about not having gotten their crepe yet even though everyone else had gotten their food. I felt that if I even inched either to my right or left I would hit the person sitting on the other end. They need to configure the seating better. Otherwise, it's a great place, I'd definitely come back and maybe sit at a counter or a booth if I'm lucky.

No pancakes here but there are both sweet and savory crepes hence the restaurants name. We ordered a variety of food for the 6 in our party and everyone was happy. We had French toast, a burger, a burrito, a crepe, drinks. You have to order at the counter but they deliver to your table. Fun vibe inside. Close to UMass Amherst.

Had lunch here with friends for the first time and we were very impressed. The decor is nice, the restaurant is clean and the staff were helpful and friendly! We ordered 3 different crepe sandwiches. A chicken bacon ranch, a bbq pork, a Cubano and a blueberry/lemon curd with coconut. They were all delicious and done perfectly. I don't think they could do anything better.

Great for a breakfast date. Great option for staying local. Staff was friendly and space was very open. Definitely family friendly.

I see allot of these restaurants popping up in the area--restaurants posing as luxury upscale, but only really in price. Ohh, they have crepes instead of toast--let's jack up the price--it's upscale now. The Hadley location has a nice, quiet atmosphere for dining in. The staff is very nice, the food is fresh, and they have real maple syrup for the crepes. The price and portion size is what I liked least. I got the Noah's ark, which sounds like it should be a pretty epic breakfast special, but when I actually received my plate there was barely any food on it. I think the addition of some hash browns on that plate would have made me feel better.

Came across this spot for breakfast, a small place with a DIY vibe. The menu has a healthier direction with crepes being a centerpiece. My breakfast burrito was served on a crepe rather than tortilla, which also came with a side of salad. The burrito itself was good sized and filled with fresh ingredients. The staff were all very nice and accommodating, service was prompt and as ordered. No complaints, I would like to try it again.

I visited with my daughter on a quiet Thursday afternoon. We walked in and up to the counter to look at the the menu. Staff were friendly and helpful. You order at the counter and they will bring the food to your table and clean up when you are done. We ordered the smash burger with fries, chicken Caesar Wrap, Heartbreaker Crepe, and a chocolate shake. The Smash burger was great. I loved that the burger was not overly giant and it was very flavorful. They did not skimp on the sauce which I really appreciated! One of the best burgers I've had in a long time! I am really picky about fries and these were excellent. Next the Chicken Caesar Wrap. It was wrapped in a crepe instead of a tortilla. At first I was worried it might get soggy and fall apart as wraps often do, but it did not at all! I absolutely loved it. The salad inside was packed with fresh crisp lettuce, flavorful chicken, plenty of Parmesan, and some croutons. It was a pretty epic wrap! I also loved the side of pasta salad with fresh herbs. The heartbreaker was delicious! A sweet crepe with chocolate, strawberries and banana. We cleaned the plate! As for the chocolate shake, I can't review because my daughter had gulped it down before I could get a sip! So I'm guessing it was that good! Thanks for a great meal-we look forward to returning

i have been to 3 of the skinny pancake locations and they have been consistent in delivery of amazing crepes- specifically, the apples and brie crepe with blueberry compote is my favorite- so flavorful with the soft ripeness of brie cheese alongside the crunchy small sliced apple bits and warm blueberry sweetness...the perfect combination! chocomonkey was also yummy for a nice dessert/sweet treat! i'm not sure i would order again though because of the limited chocolate hazelnut filling inside. my fiancée ordered the burger and said it tasted like charcoal. i tasted the burger as well and it was completely dry. the fries on the other hand were nice and crispy and paired quite well with the side of chipotle sauce. we ordered ahead and the bag was ready for pick up in a timely manner- with that said, i did not have any direct interactions with the staff as we ordered online. it is a tighter space so we decided to take our food to go!

I had a great experience at The Skinny Pancake! The food was absolutely delicious, with fresh ingredients and amazing flavors. The atmosphere has a cool, laid-back vibe that makes it a perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Highly recommend! You do need to order at counter and seat yourself. Friendly delivery of your food and fast clean up. If you want additional items you will need to revisit the counter.

It's a nice environment. The feel is cozy and its smells nice. I was disappointed with the food and coffee though. The gluten free pancakes were supposed to be sweetened with cinnamon and sugar but they were thick, pasty and very plain with a dash of powdered sugar on top. The scrambled eggs were both blackened and still wet and a $15 breakfast with bacon came with 2 thin slices. The latte was 50% foam and $5. Overall we paid $54 and left hungry. No one checked on us once food was dropped and the servers were busy enough to not make eye contact so we could not pass feedback along in person. Sad to say we really don't ever expect to go back.

They did. So I came back a THIRD time and ordered it AGAIN, just to see if they can still keep their vegan cheese melted just right on top. It was incredible, AGAIN. Now that I've gotten this out of the way, ask where it is on their new menu as it is under revision--I don't like the tempeh version as much. Onto the rest of the atmosphere of Cushman. One of the most pleasant features of Cushman Market and Cafe is that it is nestled at an important corner in northeast Amherst. You need to travel further west to get to The Mill District and not much opens there early, and there's little else I can recall in the other cardinal directions. It's a pleasant trip, with plenty of parking in front, behind, and in a strip of side road across the street. I've never been in the market, so let me keep talking about the Cafe. The atmosphere of the Cafe is wonderful, with locals, safety officers, and regulars all visiting at each meal hour from breakfast to lunch. Nestled inside what looks like an old barn, complete with doors still hanging, Cushman has memorabilia from decades of music, sports, politics, and news frozen under acrylic, different for many of their tables. The café seems to have at most 20 chairs, and the staff behind the counter will deliver it to your table, call your name, or leave other orders by a stand near the back entrance. Cushman Cafe offers a variety of meals, alongside baked goods and freshly mixed café drinks. While I'm not a fan of the switcherels, I have enjoyed their dirty Chai lattes, iced teas, fresh coffees, and free water if I recall in a pinch. They have gender neutral bathrooms--which is great if you're tired of waiting in line for one of two as they are large but single occupancy. They offer cold panini sandwiches, hot panini, all sorts of eggs, egg sandwiches, and egg breakfasts, vegan and vegetarian options, alongside a seemingly visible carnivorous focus for their new menu's default. If you had a chance to hop on a bus and travel around Amherst, or you were passing through to the highways, Cushman Cafe is worth a quick stop. I've rarely had to wait long for my meals even in busy hours, and this is because of the large and competent kitchen, who--if you'll remember--can get a delicious sandwich right any day of the week. I hope cell service returns there!

This time we ordered a Large Blanco pizza which was great because there was plenty to take home for lunches throughout the week. I had the Tex-Mex burger for the first time. It came with a choice of house-made black bean burger, Impossible patty or Beyond patty. I chose the Beyond and I'm really happy I did because it was so good. Normally I would suggest a Cubano sandwich but they were out chick'n and waffles is great too. But today the burger really hit the spot. I had my choice of fresh greens or roasted potatoes which was a no-brainer. These potatoes are the best. I ordered a second order for my Mom to take home. She loves them. Imagine biting into a firm roasted potato skin with a velvety buttery mashed potato inside. Yeah, it's that kind of good! Today was a bonus, I accumulated enough points for a free small pizza of my choice! Heck yeah, that heats up nicely back home for lunches at work during the week. We might have loaded up on desserts... cookies, chocolate mousse, cupcakes, rice pudding, pastries. Oh yes, it's dangerous! There is seating inside and outside in nicer weather. There's plenty of seating, both inside and out, and the patio is the perfect place to soak up a beautiful day. The staff who took my order for an iced mocha latte couldn't have been friendlier, all smiles and welcoming. The person who brought it out, though, served it with just enough classic Northeast attitude to remind me I wasn't in Texas anymore, and somehow it fit the place perfectly. Sitting outside, watching students hustle by and friends linger over coffee, it was easy to see why this place is a local favorite. Amherst Coffee captures exactly what you hope to find in a quintessential New England college town: good coffee, good people, a little personality, and just enough Boston-style edge to keep it authentic.

The atmosphere is excellent: lots of natural light, brick walls, plants, light woods, stainless steel. Sound travels softly, so other conversations rarely interrupt your own thoughts or discussions. Music is usually low-volume and unobtrusive. The coffee is high quality. Baristas steam milk properly, pull good espresso, and clearly know their craft. My fiancé is a tea nerd and admits their selection and brew process are both superb. Pastries are good, though not something I actively seek out. Their original cocktails are inventive while still accessible, and they'll happily make most classics at market price. Beer on tap is local and consistently solid. Prices are certainly on the higher side, especially for coffee drinks and original cocktails. That said, I've never felt cheated by what I received. Still, there are occasional moments where friends look down at an iced latte and do a double take at the money that just left their bank account Their Service is great in my opinion. I've had the pleasure of becoming a regular for some of the evening crew. I couldn't find anything to comment on, they are attentive, patient, and clearly enjoy their craft. And watching them work is inspiring during some rushes. I like to try to get work done here, but it's not the most accessible place for that, and I imagine that's partly on purpose. Regardless of time of day or day of week, there is no guest WiFi; I'm unsure if it's a logistic issue, as I know their own POS WiFi is finicky at times, or perhaps they simply don't want to provide it. Nevertheless, if you want to work online, you will need to have a hotspot or equivalent. There aren't many wall outlets, so ensure your devices are charged if you want to camp. But that's okay! At its core, Amco feels more like a gathering space than a work cafe: somewhere to converse, debate, celebrate, drink good coffee or cocktails, and spend time with people. It's also a great place to bring a physical book, journal, or board game. The nights can be unpredictable in the best way. Sometimes there's live jazz, sometimes a special event takes over half the bar, and sometimes it's nearly empty and you end up having an excellent conversation with the bartender about this or that. Either way I'm always satisfied, and I imagine you would be too.
