It's a small town family style restaurant with a professional and helpful staff. Our waitress Abby was great, she was personable and checked on us throughout our dinner. I had the Rueben sandwich with a side of fresh cut fries because she said that it would be her choice. The rye bread was grilled, it had a pile of corned beef and sauerkraut with Swiss cheese and 1000 islander dressing. Quite tasty. My buddy had Mushroom and Swiss burger which he said was great also. My bill was $30 for a SMALL PIZZA - it was good but not THAT GOOD for $30! We did question this, after asking for the manager, and why the menu description would not have clarified that the toppings were an ADDITIONAL charge and she said its because its just like the regular menu. The waiter never mentioned that the toppings were additional or that a bacon topping cost the amount of a pound of bacon! She offered a $10 coupon that would be emailed to me since they already ran my credit card and could not void the transaction. I have not seen the $10 credit/coupon email as of yet... Bakers, while their food is good, need to do better on clarifying their menu.

Unfortunately no one from Bucyrus picked up the torch and Southland drive thru closed. I was fortunate enough to find this article on the internet prior to coming back home to Bucyrus last week for a yearly visit. Our suite was beautiful and I loved the spiral staircase. I didn't think about the hot August weather when booking a loft suite so in hind sight the room would have been better suited for us during a cooler month. We enjoyed slipping into our robes and drinking cocktails on the porch rocking in the rocking chairs. It was a perfect, relaxing setting. We tried to utilize our jacuzzi tub but the well water was a little too yellow and smelly for me personally so we opted to skip that part and drive down the street to check out some local restaurants.
