Stopped in here to meet a buddy that I hadn't seen in a couple of years as he passed through Ohio. It was a great decision to meet here. It's a small town family style restaurant with a professional and helpful staff. Our waitress Abby was great, she was personable and checked on us throughout our dinner. I had the Rueben sandwich with a side of fresh cut fries because she said that it would be her choice. The rye bread was grilled, it had a pile of corned beef and sauerkraut with Swiss cheese and 1000 islander dressing. Quite tasty. My buddy had Mushroom and Swiss burger which he said was great also. They were busy the whole time we were there, between takeout and people sitting down to eat. If you are passing through Bucyrus, Ohio it is worth the stop. read more

A very, very busy locals restaurant. Got there right before 12 noon and the place was packed. Wide variety of burgers, salads and dinners. Food was fantastic as was the service. One of the lowest priced restaurants I've been to in a long time. I'll be back. read more

Diner anyone? Stopped here for breakfast a few times and both were very good experiences. Friendly staff and fresh coffee is always a plus. They're your basic breakfast items and each time I've been here have been fantastic. I have never been here other than for breakfast, so can't really comment on the lunch portion of their menu. Had the fresh perch tonight with fries and coleslaw!!!!! Delicious and yummy, fries were great coleslaw was a little bit too tart but still tasty! Perch was fresh and deep fried golden brown!! This was a take-out order. Otherwise, I'm sure the food issues would have been resolved. Two burgers, which you are charged extra for things like onion, and subbing a side salad also costs extra, which I can never understand because you're giving up the fries. Unfortunately, the salad was bad. Lettuce, old and browning, limp. And the fries were over-cooked and tasted burnt, inedible. However, the burger itself was juicy and very tasty! Service was fast and staff very friendly. The restaurant looked clean, and the waitresses really hussled. My friends highly recommended this place so I might give it another chance. Amazing food. I ordered an omelette which contained ham sausage peppers and onions and I had them add bacon to it also. It was topped with cheese and parsley. You had a choice of hash browns or fried potatoes. I got the fried potatoes. I have never seen so much food on a plate for such a low price. The service was excellent and the food was excellent too. My wife and I have eaten here several times and have never had a bad meal. The burgers are awesome too. We both had breakfast this day and walked out of there with less than a $25 tab. This was our first trip in, clean and pleasant location. It was seat yourself today, we were promptly greeted on sitting down. Our waitress brought out our drinks in good time and took our order. Our food was out in a reasonable time and was very good, portion size was a bit small for the price in my opinion. Pie for dessert was tasty. Spent the weekend in Bucyrus, and friends suggested we try Lu Lu's for breakfast. We were able to sit right down, (place was packed) but it took nearly 20 minutes for someone to take our order. Our omelets were good, the hashbrowns were somewhat crispy (even though we did ask for extra crispy), and the toast was good (lots of places it is cold, not really buttered, but here it was at least warm and fully buttered). You have to ask for jelly, they don't keep that on the tables. Overall not a bad experience, but nothing fabulous either. Would eat here again in the future. read more

What should you expect at a well-worn restaurant (in a building long-removed from its original tenant), in a little town like Bucyrus? I was not expecting too much. What we got was excellent breakfasts, at real decent prices served by sweet and friendly servers. Don't tell me folks aren't sweeter in small towns! I went to high school in Bucyrus, and my Mom still lives there. I've been in Columbus since 1988, but was in town to visit and help Mom for the day. While her sister is visiting from Florida, I wanted to treat them to a late lunch and chose Lu Lu's because of their menu variety. We did not pull into the lot until 2pm, unaware that they closed at 3:00 on Sunday. I am hesitant to be that person that shows up at the last minute before an establishment closes for the day. Thankfully, we took a chance and were welcomed by the staff which felt good. It's a simple place with a large menu of entrees and sandwiches. The three of us zeroed in on the Lake Perch and fries, and I must say, it was great. I don't get a chance for seafood that often, and it is hard to find Lake Erie Perch south of Bucyrus. It was a sandwich, but we all ditched the bun and ate it like an entree. It was delicious, and so were the fresh-cut fries. A little malt vinegar and tartar, and for $10.99 I was very pleased as were my Aunt and Mom. As we were finishing up, we were the only group still in the restaurant and the great staff were beginning their closing routine, but they did not rush us, they treated us very well, and we were still out with 10 minutes to spare. I have never been to any of the rotating restaurants in the old Perkins and L&K locations, but I've passed them on Rt. 4 for decades. I'm glad we took a chance, and I hope Lu Lu's sticks around. I will be back, for sure. The inside is basic and still has a lot of resemblance to Perkins (minus the booths...all tables). No problem with any of that for me. The waitstaff, besides being attentive, seemed happy and that made us happy too. I'm looking forward to my next time in town to return for a lunch or dinner in the future. read more

I came here with my Mom to have dinner, looks pretty nice inside, and we were told to sit wherever we want. Staff was pretty friendly and welcoming. Neither of us got a refill for our water the entire time we were there but that didn't really bother me too much. My Order: Spaghetti, which came with salad and a breadstick. Breaded Pickles. And for desert Caramel Apple Pie. First off, the salad was really good, usually I wouldn't say anything about salads because it's salad, but this salad was amazing, the croutons weren't hard to eat and they had every option for dressing excluding Caesar. Next, the breaded pickles, dill pickles that are fried, nice and crispy on the outside. Spaghetti, it was unfortunately lukewarm when I got it, and the breadstick reminds me of the bread you can get at Little Caesars, spaghetti sauce was very runny and left my bread to get soggy. Last but not least, the caramel apple pie, it looked great, but then I realized it had walnuts in it! I've never had apple pie with walnuts inside of it, there's no warning either so it's a good thing I'm not allergic. Over all it wasn't that bad, I paid about 30$ for two people plus desert, would I return? I'd return if someone asked to go but other than that I wouldn't return on my own. read more

If you're taking a trip to northern Ohio on Route 4, you have got to stop at Lulu,s Kitchen, in Bucyrus. It is a medium sized restaurant with great food and service. The people, both workers and customers, are friendly. The food is plentiful and delicious. I can't say enough about how great this place is! Prices are very reasonable! Hubby and I stopped last night - my son posted this restaurant on his FB timeline so we thought, sure what the heck. Guess we should have stuck with ordering a burger because the smothered steak (which we both ordered) was TERRIBLE. Mine was too peppery to eat and his apparently not only had no flavor or spices but was also full of grisl and the baked potatoes weren't cooked all the way. Very nice waitress - we told her about it and she apologized but no mgr came over and nothing was taken off the bill - doubt we'll make the trip to Bucyrus again to go to this place. read more

Lu lu's is the greatest place in this small town very juicy burgers cooked how you want it. They're fries (which are fresh cut) are delicous. You can ask for buttered buns. And has definitely taken heat off old 30 barbecue. If your ever in town come HERE FIRST. read more

I've been there 3 times now. The first time was really good. I got the Sticky Burger and it was amazing. The fries were great and the service was fantastic. The second time, I got wings and they were ok. Not the worst, but far from the best. The Coleslaw was the best thing during this meal. The third time, I tried their Chicken Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and pepper gravy. The CFS was bland and mediocre. I asked for a double helping of mashed potatoes but the amount I got looked like maybe an ice cream scoop full. The gravy was awful. Zero taste and had the texture of glue. I tried seasoning it myself but even that could not salvage it. Pepper gravy should have lots of flavor and this was just bad. However, one thing that was always consistent was the staff. Every waitress was extremely friendly and attentive. The owners were very nice and genuinely seemed happy for our business. We will go back but for now, I think I'll stick with the burger and fries. read more

I was checking on the computer for some place to eat lunch that we had never been to and found this place! I had the bologna sandwich and my friend had a Rubin wrap and they were both very good! I guess they are proud of their fresh cut fries and our server said they were really good BUT after getting them I don't agree---they were to greasy and over cooked for my liking! I think this restaurant's business plan is to make home made french fries their draw. They are good & generous portions. As in many new restaurants it takes a while to judge them. And now we're beginning to hear rumors of unpleasant experiences. I ordered a BBQ buffalo chicken wrap & it was good. I swapped out my fries for cole slaw. I took one taste of the slaw & thought it tasted spoiled. I had my companion taste it & he thought it had too much mayo. I sent it back & was given a different choice. I had a stomach ache the rest of the day. I'm not blaming the slaw but i did think about it. Wait staff is good. The business is busy. We had no wait time. You seat yourself as tables are available. Lulu's is locally owned. Their new location on Marion Road needs a MAJOR upgrade. It looks like a Chinese restaurant in there. My dad LOVES Lulu's!! We come here at least twice a month. Food is ok, I wouldn't brag about it and depending who the waitress is, it's pretty good service. They still have a ways to go but doing pretty good so far! The parking lot is spacious and it's always packed! Only thing I really hate about going in here is how COLD it is in there. read more
