We enjoyed the fried pita chips and 3 dips (kalamata/feta was our favorite, hummus was rustic, tazaiki (sp) was mild but missed the cucumber taste. Husband enjoyed the Greek (double smash burger) and fries. Food was made to order. Guest had the Greek salad...large filled a styrofoam box so order accordingly or plan for left overs. I had the Sampler...the gyro meat was tasty, the souvaki were well done/overcooked, the pickled onions, tomatoes, pita slices and dip were tasty..loved the cheese pie. Just 2 concerns..the seating area is not handicap accessible..ramp into restaurant..one step into initial seating area then 3 huge steps with railing into larger seating area with 4 top tables and booths. Some of the middle booth tables was imbalanced and needs secured...luckily we could choose another table and there are two outside picnic tables. All the food was served in to go styroform boxes so it did take the ambiance a notch. So I would be interested in trying some more of their food..the bavlava looked great but not on my present diet and I would have loved a spinach pie ..hubbie was very happy with his dpuble smashburger and fries. Rude customer service. Was going to get a big order for our family and I called and was placing order . When I got to the original smash burger I asked for raw onion instead of cooked. And asked for lettuce. The lady goes I cant do that. This isn't a burger joint I cant just add whatever. I said it already has onions I just dont want them cooked. I wasn't happy with the food very salty. The girl in front obviously was not in a good mood and I experienced this twice before from her. I've been with a Greek actual chef for 20 years. I'll never go back. The owner actually called the police department to tell me not to be back at the establishment because I wanted my money back lol lol lol...yes he did. Place was clean food was very good. We each had a Gyro split a large fry but plenty for two people. Bottle water only 3.50 a bottle so we passed on drinks. 8.95 for Gyro and 5.95 for large fry. Little pricy but that's where we are in this country everything is high priced. You can see them making your food and service was pretty good we will definitely come back when in the area. read more

I went to this restaurant, for the first time, with my mother. The counter area is clean. The restaurant is awkwardly laid out. To the immediate right of the entrance area is the dining area. Walked to the counter, where you place an order and pay. There was no one at the register but there was a menu and an entire letter, from top to bottom of the page explaining why they charge a 3% fee to process credit card orders. Certainly off putting, to say the least. Anyone with half of a brain knows that merchants get charged per swipe. And I understand having this conversation on a daily basis could get tedious. But it's a bit of an overkill, just like the effort that I a putting into the portion of my review. I happened to have cash, so that's what I paid with but wouldn't have a gripe if I had to use my credit card. 3% is not a big deal really, when you're talking about a single transaction. But it definitely can add up, merchant level, if you're doing 20 credit card transactions a day. Now, after we made our choices, we waited at the counter for the food. I believe my mother ordered a gyro and fries, I had something that was called a sampler, a spinach/feta pie and baklava. We carried our food to the tables only to be met with dirty tables and a dirty rag and some cleaner to clean the table before you sit down to eat. I guess this is normal? I know I didn't get a discount for having to buss my own table. There is an upstairs dining area too, but the stairs are awkward and I wasn't going to have my mother try to navigate them. At our table, looking through the window. I don't know how long it's been there but there was a dead, looked like very possibly a cockroach. It was on its back so maybe some other type of dead bug, but nonetheless, off putting. Really the storm window should be taken down to get the dead bugs out of there. I can't imagine it taking more effort than that 3% letter took to type out. My mother said her food was good! It was a bit too much to finish in one sitting. My food, mostly, was good. The sampler was good, there was a lot to it. The spinach/feta pie was good. A little different than what I'm used to but not in a bad way. The baklava, wasn't terrible but wasn't good either. It was surprisingly heavy. All and all the food was palatable, but very hard to look past the suspected dead roach in the window, while eating and trying not imagine where these bugs may be or have been. At the end of our meal, we threw the trash away, wiped down the table with the supplied dirty rag and cleaner. This was for the next guest. So they wouldn't have to buss their table while dining with Ralph (dead bugs Name). It was also cold in there, I don't believe the heat was on. Not really comfortable to sit down and eat, while in your winter jacket. Positives: Food was good mostly Fair price Well portioned Negatives: Dead bugs in the window Dirty dining area Dirty rags to clean dirty dining area 3% letter Cold in the restaurant Takeaway: - a sign saying a 3% charge is more than enough. If you don't want to take the time out to explain why there is a 3% charge then build the 3% into the final price to the consumer, like every other establishment does. It will make the transaction much less aggressive when people are trying to just pay you for the food. They really don't care how or why the price is the way that it is. -remove storm windows from time to time to get dead carcasses out of the window. -offer employee discounts to those that dine in and have to buss their own table, perhaps 3% off? read more

Such a homey little mom & pop restaurant. One of a dying breed and if they keep cooking this well, they'll be the last of whatever for a very long time! The protein in my gyro was seasoned perfectly. Not dull and had a very pleasant little kick. The stand-out to me was the tzatziki sauce. Delicious! You could really taste the yogurt and the dill popped big time! Also boasts a very nice staff. I walked in a t-shirt of slasher movie monsters playing poker (and killing a cheater). My waitress was more than happy to talk cult horror and AHS with me. This is hidden real greek restaurant which is not easy to find elsewhere. We unexpectedly ran into a jewel like place in the middle of ohio. This is very old restaurant but not that found from foodies. Locals were really enjoying and pack of people filled this place for entire lunch time. I strongly recommend! read more

I have been visiting this restaurant about once a week or so for the past several months. This is the only Greek place I know of in Bucyrus. I continue to return for the food and service. It is to the point now where the young lady working the register/serving knows what I want and how I want it and I no longer have to order. I enjoy that level of service. The food here is standard Greek fare, with gyros, Greek salads, desserts, etc. The tzatziki sauce is well flavored as are the excellent fresh cut fries. The chicken is very well seasoned and I am tempted to get a chicken salad as opposed to my usual. I usually now get the gyro salad. I can only recall one time where I felt the vegetables were not as fresh as they could be, but every restaurant has a bad day so I do not give any negatives for that. The prices are very reasonable and I believe at lunch you get a free beverage with your sandwich and fries purchase. Seeing how the prices are low as it is, that is a good bargain. Service is consistently quick, personable, and orders are always correct. The dining room is filled with family photos and other scenes from Greece. The room is two levels with a fireplace, small, and cozy. This is not a place for large crowds, but I'm sure they could accommodate if needed. I have never found the restaurant to be dirty, filled with un-cleared tables, or unkempt. Today even, the server offered to clean my usual table for me - again this was a nice touch. With this being the only place of the sort in town, I enjoy that they take the time and provide authentic Greek food. Do not let the location or fact that this place resides in small town USA deter you. You will be disappointed if you miss this gem. Very nice people and very good food. Stop by and visit. I LOVE this place. The owner is from Greece and has authentic cucumber sauce and hand made baklava. Very nice place and I'm always 100% happy with what I get. Try a cheese pie, feta cheese in a pastry wrap. So good! If you want authentic Greek gyros this is the place. Once I got a free meal because I pronounced gyro right (it's yeehro). This is the best Greek food I have found. It doesn't matter where I try to find the perfect gyro, my quest always leads me back here. This place has been around since I can remember and I know why. The owner is an expert at authentic greek food. The lamb is made right in front of you on a rotating spit and is seasoned to perfection. The tzatziki sauce is my favorite part, I always ask for extra sauce. You will not be dissappointed if you try this place folks. The prices are way more than reasonable.
