It is what it is, a local newspaper filled with local news, editorials, public activities, and ads. So why did I give it only three stars. CONS 1. The caliber of journalists varies quite a bit. Some of the articles are filled with grammatical errors, misspellings, and thoughts that are not clearly represented. 2. Other articles are written to sensationalize an occurrence but contain poor reporting of the facts. 3. One page of the paper is devoted to what was happening on the date the paper was published Five Years Ago, Ten Years Ago, Fifteen Years Ago, Twenty Five Years Ago, Fifty Years Ago, etc. Although this page is interesting, I personally have had to relive a tragedy that happened to my family and was misreported with that sensational reporting that I outlined in my item number two. I ignored the first report, complained about the five year anniversary report, and then got hit with it again on the ten year anniversary, Enough is enough when the article was wrong from the start. PROS 1. The paper is a good source for local information. 2. The editorials are interesting and provide for a variety of views. 3. The paper provides advertising inserts for local stores. 4. There is usually an insert of manufacturers coupons. 5. There is an organized page that lists current activities and upcoming activities for a large variety of interests. 6. There are specialized columnists that write about a myriad of subjects such as gardening, bird watching, religion, etc. Overall, I would be lost without the Sentinel-News. So they are A-OK to me.

I personally use this business as a drop off site for UPS shipments which I pay for and print labels on-line. At first I was a bit embarrassed that I was being thrifty yet using the convenience of this business location. Then the owner cheerfully encouraged me and informed me they get fifty cents for each package dropped off there. I now confidently entrust them with my packages.
