Before I went to Shelby's Motorsports I went Triumph Motorcycles but was unsatisfied with the customer service.  I also felt uncomfortable with the negative energy from entering the facility.  Neither my family nor myself felt welcomed; the customer service felt terribly poor.  We were not served until 15 minutes after our arrival and left the dealership unsatisfied.   We later went to Shelby's Powersports and Carla made us feel more than welcomed to be in the shop.  Both Mason and Desmond also helped me with the clothing and accessories and made the shopping experience much more pleasant.  I will definitely recommend Shelby's Motorsports to friends and family and look forward to going back there in the future. read more

After driving 2.5 hours (on a Saturday) from PA. I was approved for financing through Honda. I was told that the person responsible for out of state paperwork will not be in till Tuesday. On my way back (from PA AGAIN) to collect the paperwork on Tuesday (to register the bike) i had my husband call to check if the paperwork was ready. When he asked a question about the registration and the plate the GM Angela was very irritable and combative and refused the sale for FRAUD. She call the Honda claiming that he was trying to commit fraud under my name. We arrived at the site and i explained to her that i had him call to ask the question because i was in a work zoom meeting and that i am the who i am and that i have not provided her with any false information. My husband even apologised for the miscommunication and she stated that she didn't care that she already called and filled it as fraud and because of that i was declined. I will not recommend this place to anyone unless you want unprofessionalism, disrespect and if you dont want to ask any question about what you are purchasing. read more

Bike Brought my bike in for a skipping clutch 1500 miles and the 5th clutch ?!?!? They told me why did I wait so long to bring it to a real shop/dealer ... waited... 1 week and they finally called they've been going back-and-forth with Kawasaki and Kawasaki understands there's a problem with these clutches and will cover all cost .. wow I asked again for real and the guy assured me yes everything is good we are just waiting on parts and I'll call you when it's ready for pick up .. about 2 weeks later they called they said they tested the bike and Everything seems on point . They gave me warranty to cover the parts and work that was done im completely satisfied with the work and they great customer service . The very little guy at the door who appread to need assistance himself for personality disorder. Said what it look like. I responded is that how you sell. Brought my KTM SDGT in this am for an oil change and to fix some software issues. Mason couldn't have been nicer. I waited for the bike and he came over multiple times apologizing for the time it took them to have the bike ready. I had no issue with the time, as I know software updates and fixes can take some time. I had a preload adjuster error and they fixed that as well. I had made an appointment in advance. While I was there, another guy came in and wanted to get service, but didn't have an appointment and he got very upset that Mason couldn't give him an exact time when the bike would be ready. I watched the entire interaction, and felt Mason handled it like a professional. Better to under promise and over deliver. Hopefully he doesn't write a bad review. Shelby is new to KTM and made me aware of that. I didn't have anything major performed, but happy to go back. I didn't have much experience with sales or making any major purchases, but I would certainly give them a shot. read more

It is amazing how this place stays open for business. I purchased a couple bikes from them, everything goes fine until you start the purchase process. They go in the office and have this weird meeting with what looks like the manager grilling the staff about god knows what. Horrible customer service . Team definetly needs a new attitude or a better suited team . I came in Friday morning looking to make a purchase and I was asked to leave my information and how I'd be getting a phone call back within the hour to make an appointment to see the merchandise . OMG, the worst customer service experience I have had in a very long time. Bad reviews are accurate. Wanted to purchase a replacement generator. Called Shelby, person on the phone was nice and gave me the best price. I mentioned that I would be traveling 50 miles to make purchase. Upon arrival, not busy, I met with sales rep who appeared to secretive about the purchase process. He held the invoice as if it was exam paper that he did not want me to cheat from. Never volunteered the price or showed me the invoice. In fact when he walked away several times, he placed in the invoice underneath his desk mat so I could not see. I found this extremely suspicious. Once he finally told me the price which was different then what was stated over the phone, I handed him my credit card and ID. He mentioned that I could purchase today however I could not take the item until the next day! He explained that this is due to frequent credit card fraud?? This is store policy! and there are no refunds!. Wow! Do you think this should have been mentioned on the phone knowing that I am traveling 50 miles and I may use a credit card for an item that costs more than $1000.00. I had already committed to incurring 100 miles to make this purchase and I needed the unit today. I had to pay cash to make this happen. Sales person then hands me off to a female for payment. No smile, sat in front of me for 15 minutes working on the computer not saying a word, until she says lets go into the other room. As I am already suspicious, I am reading everything and asking a lot of questions, waiting for the next surprise. In the meantime a younger female joins for training. I see a $45.00 charge to add oil and gas to the unit. I am told this is mandated by Honda??? What happens when I order from amazon? As I presented my ID and credit card earlier, I see several copies on her desk. I told her to please shred those copies. She then mentions that she needs 2 forms of ID. Why? I am paying cash. Also a credit card is not a form of ID. She then became annoyed and debated me on why they need this information. I then got double teamed, much like a family member defending another member, even though the family member is wrong. Crazy! The older female was rude and did not see anything wrong with it. You could tell that this behavior has been accepted by management. Finally, 90 minutes already into the process, it's now time to receive my generator. Managers nice, as he walks me through the operation of the unit. At this point I'm done with this place. Although I walked out with the item I wanted, I was annoyed and exhausted. How dare you debate me with over $1000.00 in my hand. I am the customer. To the owners: take notice...I did not read the yelp reviews prior. It is obvious that you have a customer service problem and it begins with sales but more importantly when you collect the money. It is obvious that you have had issues with credit card fraud. As a result, your process is unique and cumbersome, however you need the right people to present it without being offensive and rude. You have a nice store and your prices are reasonable, however service is horrible. Read the reviews and figure out the common denominator. Although you may have different touch points with the customers, there is one place that everyone has to interact and that is where your problem lies. I expressed this to your manager and he tried to make nice, however, I was under the impression that certain people are untouchable. I will never make a purchase from this place again. I will pay the extra 100.00 at a place that makes me feel welcomed. Honda needs to take notice. If they knew, they may reconsider using you as a distributor. read more

Drove down from Rockland County on a cold Wednesday afternoon to check out the shop for work on my Honda. Dark, warehouse setting, banners in the walls, with bikes packed handlebar to handlebar, and a small accessories/gear section in the corner. I spoke with two guys over the counter about servicing my bike, one was Andrew, the Service Mngr. I got short replies, basically how much it cost and to call to set up an appointment before the busy season starts. When asked about the service area, I got the "point & look" reply, he never moved from the spot the whole conversation. Not impressed with me having to play twenty questions to learn about the shop, even after I told them how far I drove to see them. I stopped at question 5. I started looking at the bikes for a while & no one came over to speak with me. I'll pass. read more

Took the bike for a dyno tune. After it was done, went to pick it up, one of the staff was very friendly but on the other hand the person that I needed to talk to did not even acknowledge me, was on the phone. After he finished with his phone call, again did not even acknowledge me, just told me the cost of the job done on the bike. I was not even given a receipt and I was not explained all the details of what was done to my bike. Really bad customer service. If I could give no star I would. I would highly suggest retraining the staff in customer service skills or at least some of their staff. Would never go back there. read more

Current staff are nasty and disrespectful. Came this time to do the suzuki master cylinder recall. Called ahead made an appointment weeks in advance, was told it was a 2 hr job. Came back 4 hrs later and am now told it will be done in another hr. Why the insistence and need to have an appointment when you aren't going to follow them. Well what can I say, when I read the previous reviews posted here I was a bit shocked as they were ALL NEGATIVE. However that was not the case with me, hopefully reviews will continue to get better from here on. I purchased a used Concourse 14 late last Summer (had about 1,500 mile on it and came with an extended warranty. I usually garage the bike but took to commuting on it daily so would typically leave it on the street and garage it during the weekends (I commuted all through the Fall and Winter. One morning I came out as usual and saw nothing out of the ordinary but as I was riding I noticed the inner cowling was damaged. I filed a claim and after a few Google searches came across Shelby's web site. It was also great that they were an authorized Kawasaki dealership and had qualified mechanics on hand, not to mention they were around the block from the Subway and within walking distance from where I worked. My experience was really great with these guys. I found the staff to be polite and helpful, the service manager really knows his stuff (the guys really good both technically and professionally) and really goes out of his way to provide great service. When I had to have a rear tire and front wheel break pad change he had his staff on point and I had my bike back ready to roll in about an hour and forty five minutes. As for the broken inner cowling there were some 'fits and starts' getting the repairs done but the service manager, staff and mechanics were always above par in getting me the attention I needed (it made things easier when 'stuff happened'). I also like the fact that all the mechanics are really personable, polite and above all qualified. Also the sales staff are always ready to answer your questions and provide great service. Overall from the owner on down, great staff, a good group of folks, they will definitely be getting more work from me. read more
