But having said all that Steven Abreu is great. He's talkative, knowledgeable, reassuring and always seems to be in a happy mood. His attitude is very calming without any condescension, which is exactly what you need from a PCP. So far he's pulled stuff out of my ear and helped me out by back-dating a referral I didn't get when I didn't know the whole system. I have to drop a star because getting an appointment can be a real pain. Sometimes the wait is 2 weeks.

They actually make going to the doctors not so bad. The office is great cause it is associated with Mass General. Great hospital. Moved out of state to NYC and I really miss the wonderful care I received. Hoping to move back and be her patient again one day!

She wants you to ask questions and doesn't seem to judge anyone. The first time you go is really just for a consultation so I had to make another appointment for a physical. The only problem with that is that the appointment is in May because she is so busy! Her nurse, Beth, told me that she will return my calls (if I call) and really be my contact because Dr. Ramos is so busy. But I am hoping that isn't an issue. Also, the convenient North End location means that if I were to ever get sick, I wouldn't have to travel far to see my doctor. Although getting an appointment with her might be an issue...

I've since seen her twice, once for a physical and the second time for a gyno screening. Gyno's are always awkward - to me anyways. Dr. Peters was great at both appointments. For my physical, she went through everything. I was surprised at how detailed she got during my health history. It was reassuring. I have very little faith in doctors; I think the healthcare system is broken and they simply don't have the time or energy to invest when they're seeing so many patients each day. That being said, Dr. Peters is much better than my last two doctors (yes, I move around a lot). I'm a fan.

I was able to get X-Rays in the same building and they helped me schedule an MRI. I was seen again right after my MRI and was told I didn't need surgery (thank goodness), and was given a clear instructions on how to take care of my injury and ensue a quick and full recovery. Dr. Salzler was professional, knowledgeable, friendly and empathic. The same can be said for both of his PAs that I worked with and his front office staff. He and the PA team answered all of my questions. I would highly recommend Tufts Medical Center Orthopedics and especially Dr. Salzler.

I emailed him a question about vitamins and he wrote back the next day with recommendations. How cool is that? 3) You can usually get an appointment pretty fast. For physicals, it can be a while, but every time that I've been sick I've been able to get in that day to see him. 4) His office is conveniently located. It is right above the 7-11 on Washington Street, so near the red line, green line, orange line, etc. 5) He is (mostly) on time. One thing I really did not like about her was when I asked about TTC, she simply told me that she doesn't have time to explain and she will be happy to let me borrow her huge medical book which she brought into the exam room. I was so surprised about the way she treated me. She is the one who is doctor and she told me to read her medical book so that I can learn about TTC??? Really?? Also, this was my annual exam visit and she did not take much time either. I waited for 3 months for this appointment, I was assuming that she will take more time with me. Not really. Maybe less than 20 min or so? Other job was done by her nurse practitioner. I will not recommended her to anybody.
