Worst set-up. Rafa's is pretty good. They kicked out Krispy Krunchy and traded for some trash chicken though so I'm not happy about that

This is one of the few places where I can reliably find sugar-free Red Bull in stock, which isn't always the case at other convenience stores. They also carry the harder-to-find monk fruit version, which my husband loves and is surprisingly difficult to track down. But my personal little treasure hunt here is always the candy section. Every once in a while I find my hidden gem -- the Skor bar. And for anyone thinking it's basically the same as a Heath Bar, it's not. Totally different, and not many places carry Skor anymore. Today I looked all over the store thinking they were out... until I spotted the final three bars sitting right by the cashier. Another thing I appreciate here is the staff. The super tall guy who's often working the register is always friendly and welcoming, and he consistently reminds me to use my loyalty card, which I appreciate because I would absolutely forget otherwise. They also carry Sweet Tart Ropes in a bunch of different flavors, and I always grab the "flavor of the month" aka holiday ropes when I see it. It's a small thing, but I like slipping one into my kid's lunch box as a little surprise treat--just a tiny "thinking about you, hope this makes you smile" moment during their school day. Helpful tip: Check near the register for the Skor bars if you're hunting for one--they're sometimes stocked there instead of the main candy aisle. Between the hard-to-find snacks, the fun rotating treats, and genuinely friendly service, this is one of those neighborhood convenience stops that keeps me coming back.

WARNING: Avoid This Deceptive and Predatorily Priced Establishment -…read more Sadly, this is the most ridiculous and absurd Arco AMPM gas station and convenience mart I have ever visited in my entire life. Normally, I have positive, professional, and friendly experiences at other fueling stations. Unfortunately, the staff at this specific location are profoundly rude and disrespectful, completely ruining what should be a standard, routine customer service experience. The technical incompetence here is staggering. Every single time I attempt to use the Earnify mobile app at this location, the system experiences severe glitches. Instead of offering basic troubleshooting or professional assistance, the employees immediately default to hostility. They frequently point fingers, blame the customer for holding up the line, and use aggressive, condescending language to intimidate patrons. It is completely unacceptable to be insulted and publicly humiliated by staff simply because their own point-of-sale infrastructure is failing. Predatory Price-Gouging and Hidden Fees - What is deeply alarming is the drastic, predatory shift in their pricing model. A couple of years ago, this location accommodated customers with fair, competitive pricing on everyday snacks and beverages. Today, they have hyper-marked up their prices to an outrageous degree. They are clearly exploiting the fact that commuters and locals rely on these daily necessities, deliberately draining people's pockets for exorbitant profit margins. Furthermore, consumers need to be on high alert when approaching the cashier register. You must meticulously watch the cashier and the point-of-sale monitor, as the scanned prices frequently do NOT match the shelf tags, resulting in surprise added surcharges. This feels like a deliberate tactic to quietly extract extra money out of wallets and purses without the customer noticing. It is highly suspect that their system consistently "glitches" on promotional discounts and bundled deals; it genuinely feels as though management despises honor-driven savings and deliberately suppresses Earnify rewards to force customers into paying maximum, bloated rates. A Call for Total Accountability - This business represents the absolute worst offenders in aggressive price manipulation and anti-consumer behavior. The City of Elk Grove needs to step in and launch a thorough investigation into this establishment's business and weights-and-measures compliance. If there are any consumer advocacy groups, regulatory officials, or legal professionals reading this, I urge you to look closely at this location's operational practices. I strongly advise the local community to take their hard-earned income elsewhere. Do NOT support an establishment that treats its patronage with blatant contempt, actively manipulates pricing, and punishes you for trying to use legitimate corporate rewards. Drive the ExtraMile to a station that actually respects its customers and operates with basic integrity.
