Had lottery tickets checked by clerk, all of the tickets I gave him had a winner. After processing them the clerk did not give me all the replays, I had to ask him for them. Also won $2 and after I bought $10 worth of lottery picks I gave the clerk $20. He tried to just give me $10 change till I pointed out to him it should $12. This was Saturday morning, 9/13/25. I stopped here on a Thursday evening. My Shell gas card had a zero (0) balance, so I needed to use it to keep my account active. Otherwise, I would of gone elsewhere because this station has high gas prices. Regular was $5.59 when I was there. I just checked GasBuddy, and it only dropped to $5.50/ gal. That's high because alot of places have already gone under the $5.00 mark. Also, this station is dirty! The washer soap smelled like sewer water. When was the last time it was checked? Yes, the bad reviews about the car wash are believable, since the rest of the station is neglected. I went into the C-store to get some snacks and the cashier seemed friendly and nice. I didn't check out the restrooms. There was a person at the pumps working on his pickup truck. I guess he was doing something mechanical, but it seemed odd. You just get a weird vibe here. I am filing a complaint against them: I paid for Gas and the gas didn't dispense in my car. My gauge still said empty. They refused to refund me or give my gas telling me something is wrong with my gauge. I have no issues with the gauge: will never come here again! The car wash damaged my car badly, Then the Maneger accused me of being a scammer! I had used the carwash before without a issue. This time the rear left arm of the wash Smashed into the rear hatch of my ford explorer and shifted the rear windo off the seal! I was lucky it didnt smash the window out. Was unable to use one form of payment, let other people go in front of me, got back in line to use another form of payment and older gentleman said my cards are no good here and began to help the customer behind me and basically brushed off anything I said. So this morning I decided to get my car washed here. The sign says "no racks" so before pulling in, I stop, get out and see an attendant. I ask him,"are these okay?" He nods and waved me towards the car wash entrance. I pay my $11 for a wash that includes the basics plus tire wash. I get into the car wash and the system is on. As it ends and I pull forward, the dryer starts and then immediately stops. The attendant waves me forward. I roll my window down and what about drying the car? He smiles and says it's not working. Where was that at the entrance? He didn't even care. He seemed to enjoy ripping people off of their money. Horrible! Avoid this place. I really liked using this gas station since it's on my way back from several places I visit. I won't be going back anymore. Another gas station will get fill ups for the 3 cars in my family. The first few times, I ignored the young guys asking for money, thinking they would eventually move on to other places to beg for money. Having observed this on several occasions and having read other reviews, it's clear there is an understanding between the panhandlers and the gas station staff. Price is a bit more expensive than most Shell places I usually visit, but need to fill up while in the area. Filled up at the pump, got in and out of there! People in this plaza are amazingly slow and unpredictable drivers. There's no reason to be speeding in a gas station. read more

Gas here is always cheaper here compared to all other San Jose locations EXCEPT for the next closest Shell about 2 minutes away down on Monterey Road. They have a car wash here and the space between pump aisles is pretty large. Make sure to not use credit card at the stations whose red stickers have been pulled off. Safer to pay in cash if you want to avoid credit card theft. read more

I bought a car wash, went to drive in and it was closed. So today I went back and asked if my code was still good or has it expired. They told me I had 90 days. When I entered my code it said invalid. I went back into the store. They told me I had already must of used it. The receipt has been in my car since I purchased the 13.00 wash. I told them I never used it. Instead of good customer service and giving me a new code they said I was out of luck. I told them I am never going to purchase gas or anything else from this station. Beware the car wash codes expire! Terrible service as well I'm not coming back here even for gas there's 2 other gas stations nearby this ain't the cheapest. I forgot to use my code for a few months and asked the clerk if the code will still be good. He says yeah they don't expire but if anything happens we'll give you a new code. Was that a fake employee? Two weeks later I come back, it's not gonna rain anytime soon, and the code doesn't work! The clerk, this time a female, says the code expires and grabs her manager who won't even give me to time of day. I had to walk back near his office as he was shaking his head. Wouldn't even hear my argument. No, it's expired and closes his door. I didn't get this car wash code for free. I paid for it! Pretty terrible gas station where the employees don't even know how to do things. I walked in to buy a $25 gift card with my debit card and when I paid for it I noticed the bottom of the receipt said card activation failed. Told the cashier and he said ok, slide your card again and I'll refund the money. Instead of refunding it charged me another $25. Cashier was like no problem, it'll refund, don't worry. Now I was annoyed that he asked me to slide it again and I refused and said either do it differently and right or give me cash. What did he say? Come back tomorrow and I'll give you cash. Ok, whatever. I go back in the next morning and a new guy is there. He tells me he can't do anything and to dispute it with my bank. So you're employees mistake is costing me my time. I can't complain. This is the gas station that saved my car from running out of gas. Heading back home from Morgan Hill, I forgot to get a gas. I was in the middle of 101 and this is the first gas station nearby that popped out in Yelp. Too many cars filing up their tank when I arrived here. Not only the price of gas was so cheap, you'll get additional .15 cents off per gallon if you will get a car wash. I did. I'm glad I did. The total amount that I paid together with the car wash was close to same amount that I paid from the other gas station when I got a full tank recently. I'm happy. Car wash did a good job. My car was filthy and full of bird poop and they all disappear! I will always remember and take note of this gas station. read more

I gas up here once in awhile out of desperation only, their gas is usually ..40 to .60 cents per gallon higher then most, today for example stations near me, Union Ave. San Jose is $2.95 vs $3.45 regular without car wash, on average $6 more at each fill up, I wonder why so much difference in price? read more

It was time I did this being I'm the 'Duke' and all... So you and I know gas is expensive, it sucks that I buy it more than I buy beer and a decent sixer isn't much more than a gallon and surely more useful, but I digress. This location is decently priced compared to the competition within a mile or so radius. It's convenient because it's just before you hop on the freeway and it even has a carwash (although I've never tried it). Outside: It's clean, 99% of the time all the pumps are working, there's water and towels for your windshield, and free air and water if you need it. Plenty of parking around the station but the drawback is that it's always busy. Inside: Well stocked, specials on various snacks and goodies and the staff is as friendly as a service stations get these days. They have working restrooms but when it's busy the small mini-mart can get pretty confined. Time to get that beer... read more

The gas station is always kept clean and well swept. Easy peasy. The convenience store is also well stocked and organized. You get a $0.15 price break if you buy a car wash. The car wash - not as nice. Somehow, my car is still dirty. It didn't wash off all the bird poop. Also, the car dryer doesn't do a very good at drying it either. The wash options range from$7 to $11. The two stars is because it is close to my house. The three that are missing are due to a failure of some sort 4 out of 5 times that I am here. Never any paper in the machine for a receipt, the card readers only work half of the time, you can't buy gas with cash at certain times during the day. Yes I was turned away because I had a $100 bill and I needed $60.00 in gas. Not enough change in the drawer. If you don't mind going into the cashier and only paying with cards then this is the gas station for you. This is the worst gas station in the Bay Area. The receipt paper is always out at the pumps. The morning cashiers have no customer service. Every time I go to wash my car the carwash is close or broken, I think the employees are just to lazy to open it in the morning. The gas is high quality and cheaper than some places. The station is always clean, and I've always been able to find an open pump. The pumps also have television screens with inane advertisements running. I always forget my Rewards card, so haven't had experience using that, but I recommend only using credit at gas stations to avoid card skimming fraud from your debit account. That being said, I've never had to go inside and deal with customer service. Lastly, when birds poop on my car because I'm a dumb--- and park under light poles, I can just go through the car wash here for a couple o' bucks. I HATE this place. If there was another Shell or Chevron near my house that had a car wash I would NEVER come back here. The customer service here is THE WORST. I used to wash my car here every week, now I try to go out of my way whenever I can to wash my car anywhere else. A couple months back the car wash was out of soap, I ran my car through the wash and went inside to tell them. Guess what they told me. "You paid for the express wash, it doesn't come with soap" I replied, "I wash my car here every week and pay for the same wash every week. I'm sure it comes with soap unless this is something new." The guy at the register replied, "No it never came with soap. I mean we have clear soap with no foam if you pay for the premium wash." I insisted that it has always came with foam soap. They kept telling me they have no idea what I was talking about and didn't apologize at all. I've came back to wash my car a few months later and now it has soap. Today, I went through the car wash and the machine told me to pull forward. I pulled forward into the wash and the lights didn't turn on at all. Nothing happened. I was stuck. So I called the front desk to inform them that I was in their car wash and that their wash was off. A lady came out looking pretty annoyed and asked me, "Do you have a ticket?" As if I tried to get a free wash or something. I gave her a my ticket and she told me to back up. I backed up as much as I could with out hitting the car behind me since I drive a manual and it rolls back and forward on its own when going over their bumps. She literally yelled back at me "BACK UP!!!" and made me look like a complete IDIOT to all the cars that were behind me. Then she asked me what kind of wash I bought, I told her and I guess she didn't hear me so she YELLED at me. "WHAT KIND OF WASH DID YOU GET???" "WHAT KIND OF WASH???" SO RUDELY. I felt like I was being scolded for breaking something. Then she instructed me to move forward and EMPHASIZED SLOWLY. I moved forward slowly and she started pointing at the lights MOVE FORWARD. STOP BACK UP MOVE FORWARD. DO YOU SEE THOSE LIGHTS? STOP WHEN ITS RED. THOSE LIGHTS RIGHT THERE. STOP NOW GO BACK FORWARD! ARE YOU FUCKING SERIOUS? Do you think I'm so incompetent that I don't know how to use a car wash? or tell what red or green even means? I've never been so embarrassed. I AM NEVER EVER going to wash my car here again. Worst customer service....from a gas station....period. Literally just wanted the men's bathroom key while I got gas. Was made go inside around the other side of the building from where the employee originally was. Then asked "please repeat what you wanted, I don't understand hand gestures..." I asked for a key...in very loud clear English...barely any hand gestures. So, my saga continues.... I was given the women's key, which is great...if you're a woman..which I am not...very clearly...neither was the 50year old man I walked in with... The gas here is cheaper than most places. I came here at 10pm at night to get gas but on the screen it said the pump stopped. I went to the clerk to see what's going on and he told me he stopped the pump because he is supposed to be off in 20 minutes and needed to count his cash for the next worker. Very irritated. I live very close to this gas station and have been getting my gas and car washed few times a month for the last several years. Tonight I filled my car with gas and ran my car through the automated wash. My car was still very dirty. I went inside and asked the attendant very politely if I can run my car through the wash again. The attendant said that they could not help me. The attendant would have to print a new ticket and he was unable to do so. I kept my cool and said that I would think that their manager would have no problem allowing a loyal customer to do so. They still could not help me. Then I began to try to reason with them. I mentioned how close I live there and how much money I have spent on car washes in the past and most likely for the next 30yrs (not to mention the gas). I said for $10 one should expect to have a clean car. I estimate that this Shell gas station has now lost about 100k of future dollars from me all because they would not do what was right. I've been living in this neighborhood since before this station opened. I have been using this station exclusively for a couple of years because I have to...you're going to get gouged for gas anywhere you go... but I've finally had enough of this place. There's other places that would be happy to get my money...but this place..well: 1) Always people hanging around begging for money and attendants will do NOTHING about it 2) Attendants are surly and have attitudes and are not very helpful 3) It's a crap shoot if the carwash works and they keep cutting back on the drying time..sorry I have a pickup with an 8' bed and I never get it all dry... 4) You can have EITHER squeegees, paper towels or water with soap for your windows but YOU CANNOT have all 3 or any combination only 1. 5) What's with cutting on air and water in the carwash? I know I mentioned carwash already but it deserves another mention. I've spent literally thousands of dollars here and well....I'm tired of their lack of customer service. Place is ok to get gas but suck when it comes to a car wash. I get gas here about once a week and decided to get a car wash since it's been hot and I don't feel like doing it myself. I put the code in but the car in front of decided to reverse back into it to get the last seconds of air time. That messed it up I guess because after that it kept telling me to back up, which I did, but nothing could make it start. So I pulled to the front to ask if they can fix it and they told me there was nothing they could do. Asked to talk to a manager and they told me they didn't know when she'd be in. Dirty and nasty inside, I would not recommend this place unless you are hard up and nearly out of fuel. There are a lot of pumps but the fuel is premium priced for standard test. The bathrooms nearly induced vomiting... very yucky. I would never go here again. read more
