The machines function well and the overall station is clean and well lit. The staff is usually friendly, if you must pay with cash, but if paying by card you don't really need them. The configuration of the entrances make entering a little awkward, especially if it's your first time. It is tucked away into a circular, often desolate, drive that leads to an intersection between St Nicholas Avenue and Manhattan Avenue. However, since it is in a corner, this should not be a huge issue. It is rarely full, in my experience, but the wait time is little to none during the late afternoon/early evening times. However, this may be due to the location. Overall, I am glad that this station is here for my, and the community's, use.

Keep in mind they also offer tire service. If your pressure gets low they have an air hose. Easy access and you can pump the tires fast for 75 cents (DIY). But if your tire is flat or damaged you must come here. Off to the side there's a little garage. The guy who works it is a magician. He jacked up our car took the tire off and within ten minutes he came out after reattaching the liner which had slipped off and caused a slow leak. All the cabbies know this is the place to go to fix your tires. Don't go to the car dealership, just go here. Get this - they charged 20 bucks!

There are always tons of cabs congregated here for some reason. It's convenient for my car owning guests to gas up. With prices the way they are in the city they usually do their gassing up near home. Although they were closing, Anderson, the service rep came to see the problem...said they can fix it, we drive to his station, he locked my car overnight into the service port, I spoke with Rolando the chief mechanic Saturday morning, and it was fixed by that afternoon. Subsequently, they did my inspection this week. Goals is a Shell station, with U-Haul rental, and a grocery area. All the people I met were extremely helpful, did professional work at a reasonable cost, and I recommend them 100%.

I knew this would be a mistake after seeing it was under new management. Thought I'd give them a chance. The 'technician' assigned to do my car started looking over to where I was seated in a shifty manner, then I saw him lift the hood and check my dipstick for oil! He then had a rather shifty looking conversation with the manager in Arabic, after which the manager came over to me with a 'fail' sheet, wrote $300.00 on the sheet and said my car had failed for 'metal on metal' brake failure. When I questioned this, as my car had been making no noise, and moreover no warning display had been activated, he started shouting in an attempt to overwhelm me. Then when I announced that I did not want the work done there, but would take it to my usual mechanic to do, he started doing the 'nice guy doing me a favor' act. "Look, you have work done here, I look after you, OK?" When I took it to another shop for a follow up inspection within 30 mins, they passed my car with flying colors, and advised me that the breaks were 100% fine. Also, they advised that an NYS inspection station can not fail a car for failing brakes, only emissions and overall safety. They can only advise if a car has poor brakes. These guys are slippery. They are scamming people. Avoid.
