Tip: Get enough gas from here to last you 4-5 miles over to the Major Deegan, North bound side past Yankee Stadium next to the Police precinct. Keep in mind they also offer tire service. If your pressure gets low they have an air hose. Easy access and you can pump the tires fast for 75 cents (DIY). But if your tire is flat or damaged you must come here. Off to the side there's a little garage. The guy who works it is a magician. He jacked up our car took the tire off and within ten minutes he came out after reattaching the liner which had slipped off and caused a slow leak. The configuration of the entrances make entering a little awkward, especially if it's your first time. It is tucked away into a circular, often desolate, drive that leads to an intersection between St Nicholas Avenue and Manhattan Avenue. However, since it is in a corner, this should not be a huge issue. It is rarely full, in my experience, but the wait time is little to none during the late afternoon/early evening times. As i was in a hurry, I decided to just change the tires in the back. When speaking to the guy at the register, he gave me a $275 for both tires including the labor. When we came back, $275 jumped to close to $400 dollars when the guy ran my card. These tires are second-name brand and average cost of $85 dollars per tire. When confronted the guy laughed. Ok top of that, i had to change the tires as they were losing air a week later. Should have read the comment here. I've had come here before for several years but never again.
