Came here for a car wash and the car in front of me STOLE my car wash (he pretended to enter a code but he actually didn't). I entered my code as he drove into the tunnel (which is what I usually do at other car washes). After his car wash finished, I noticed the green "GO" sign didn't light up for me but thought maybe it wasn't working so I tried entering my code in again but it said code was used. I still thought maybe if I drove in, it would work so drove into the tunnel and waited a couple minutes but the car wash did not start for me (that's when I realized he used my car wash). I drove out and found him in his car parked outside so I walked up to him to let him know. He pretended to roll down his window and drove off. I'm assuming he does this often. Luckily, I was able to get a new code when I told staff inside. Five stars because the staff was super nice and resolved the problem quickly. This is my warning to wait until the car in front of you leaves before entering in your code! Definitely learned my lesson. read more

Car wash is very convenient. Staff is super friendly, but my thing is I work at night and the guy that works every night right at 10 loves to close everything up. Everybody else doesn't do that. They leave the car wash open and he goes in there and hides away and turns all the lights off because sometimes you need to go to the window if the gas pump doesn't work or if you need a receipt and sometimes when the car wash was open, if you ask for the towel, but like I said, I can't stand that guy that works at night. This is my favorite and go to location to fill up and get the occasional car wash. Lot is always clean, facility is always functioning and easily accessible. With that being said, any LOOP app users who purchase car washes through the app can't use them because the car wash is missing the QR code needed to redeem them. read more

Different store but same chain and owner. Son took car to get car washed on 6/26/24. Car wash tore off driver side mirror so he filled out a claim form. Talked to manager who said all she could do was send the form to corporate and she couldn't do anything more than that. She couldn't provide a working number and the form said to talk to the store manager...... Was able to track down the corporate info and left about a dozen messages to try to get someone to address the claim over the past 3 months. No callbacks and would always go to voicemail. Functionality wise: their car wash occasionally stops working and is incredibly slow. There were 3 cars in front of me and somehow I was there for almost half an hour. Happens every time I use this wash. Won't be coming back. Customer service wise: Awkward and inappropriate experience with a Loop employee. While I was putting gas in my car, I used the windshield cleaner to get some stains off my windshield and the employee walks out and starts yelling and snapping his fingers at me. He was yelling for me to pay $3.89 for something -- I paid for gas and bought a car wash so I don't know what else to pay for lol I used the windshield cleaner to get tough stains since their car wash does not get everything. If they don't want anyone using it then don't have them (but also it's a gas station). The male cashier then offered ti help me and I told him the issue. This is most fraudulent gas station I have ever been to. They have multiple signs advertising unlimited car wash program so I signed up in the parking lot. I went inside to Try to use and they said they do not accept. I tried to explain that they have signs advertising and they must accept. They insulted me and told me to leave because I was lying about the signs. I pointed to the signs and they said the signs just advertise the program and I wanted a car wash I had to go five miles away to a different Loop that does accept the unlimited car wash. If they don't accept they should not advertise and sell. Your staff should also not insult customers that are simply confused by why you are selling if you do not accept and why they do not have signs saying they do not accept. read more

Two stars and this is me being very generous. This has become my go-to Shell gas station since my move back to the east side. Although it is a further drive for me, I'd pick the Berryessa location over the Shell located off of McKee any day. I like the fact that this establishment is clean, spacious, and getting in|out is pretty easy. Minus a few stars thanks to the rude Vietnamese lady who wears glasses. Each and every encounter with her leaves my blood boiling and not so happy thoughts fill my head. How she can always twist things to make it seem like I am inconveniencing her is BEYOND ME!! Vacuum machines are not maintain well as the suction power is weaker than my home vacuum cleaner which leads to believe theres a blockage in both hoses. And just to use the vacuum cleaner is a $10 charge with no option to stop the clock (if there is one). There was a keypad to enter the code and stop button. The machine left my windshield all foamed up with soap and expected me to start driving. I didn't even think it was done because it was all full of soap with 0 visibility. The only options I saw was to use the windshield wipers and then drive out to talk to the workers or wait there with a family of six in the car to see if it would resume. The windshield wipers cleared up some visibility and luckily I bought the ultimate supreme wash meaning extra sprays of unknown chemicals were activated to rinse away more soap. And the air drying helped some more. I don't know how effective those extra treatments were since they were applied to a soapy car instead of a clean one. I went into the store and asked if something was wrong. The guy argued about it and went to check the cameras for a long time. It took quite a while. And he came back showing me the rear view of my car as it was driving away from the washing mechanism. I asked if he has a front camera, if he just said no. I would have left it at that, he the first time he pretended not to understand, the second time he pretended he didn't hear the question. The third time he claimed there was nothing to see as it was in a bad angle. I find it highly suspicious that they would install a camera at a bad angle. The cameras are probably there to protect them again claims of their machine damaging the car. So the things I'm guessing happened is that either the machine got the soap on the rinse line somehow, the filters in the recycled water systems failed, or a glitch or bug caused it to skip the rinse steps. I bought the 15.99 package if anyone else also encountered the same please speak up. The other shell washes and other packages never let me in such a situation. I had to come home and manually rinse off all the soap residue with a hose attached to one of those shutoff handle nozzles and then redry the car, I could have saved myself the time waiting in line and money spent, and just given the car a quick rinse myself in the first place. They should just be truthful and have better customer service. I'm not even sure what I wanted from them. Maybe a promise to fix it or to let us through on a rinse only mode. But the workers there were rude and their goal was to deny, and protect themselves. I came out of there more upset than I went in. And another who was in line avoided wasting their money after hearing about our experience and how the attendants treated me. Annabelle just tried to scam me Went to the car wash (I've done these car washes plENTY OF TIMES) for some reason when I entered the car wash the system seemed to be malfunctioning telling me to move forward continuously to the point where I got out of the car wash, retried and obviously it tells me I already washed my car. I explain this to Annabelle and she insist that I didn't follow directions. After respectfully telling her I've done this before she finally lets me retry but this time with a cheaper service, so I pull out of the car wash again to go talk to her and ask her if she can give me the service I paid for. Normally you walk in and politely ask to use the restroom because most places have a keypad, or a key or don't allow the public to use them... When I asked him he looked at me like he wanted to fight me and said yeah bro over there and points at the wall and I did a double take and was going to ask him if he's OK. 08/17/2023 approx 9pm. Male cashier working this shift either needs to 1.work on his customer service, communication skills AND control his anger issues or 2. Find another job that he would enjoy better - he seems to be A major issue when reading other reviews. ---- this will be a very lengthy review : to summarize- bad customer service by male cashier, I got yelled at, male cashier didn't keep their word, car wash closed 30 mins early. I came to this gas station for a car wash at around 9pm. I got in line and when it was my turn I inputted my code for my wash and was instructed by the kiosk to move forward, I am aware that there are sensors so I moved slowly. I noticed that the water was not spraying as it usually does in the beginning. So my first thought was maybe that part was not working at that time... The stop sign came on so I parked my car. Some time passed and the machines were not moving. There was a line behind me so I was debating if I should move out of the way, drive out of the car wash and let the cashiers know or give it some more time to see if it started working. I noticed the person behind me (they were trying to enter their code) get out of the car to get someone to help - the machines were not working. So I drove out of the car wash and parked in front of the store and walked in to ask for help. A cashier lady was there and I explained to her: I was trying to get a car wash and followed the prompts, the machines stopped working, I had entered my code and i never got my car wash. I asked if I could get another code. She called her manger over in which I had to explain the situation again. She let me know someone was already out there fixing the issue and she assisted me with getting me a new code. HOWEVER I noticed she gave me a code to get an $11 car wash when I had originally paid for a $15 car wash. Please note all this took a good 30 minutes!! By that time is was 9:30pm. I told the cashier lady that I had paid for a $15 car wash not $11. She said she couldn't give me a new code because they already started closing the cash register. At this moment the male cashier walks in and get involved in the conversation. All three of them were speaking in Tagalog - I didn't understand what they were saying. He turns and asked me to show him the new receipt with the code, he takes it and said "we can refund you the $15 to your card and you can still use this $11 code, that's a good deal and you should take it" I was a bit hesitant but he insisted. So I let him know my wallet was in my car and I had to go get it for the refund. He said that was okay. I got my wallet and came back, they helped me get my $15 refund. I then asked if I could get the $11 code back. The male cashier then raised his voice out of no where and said "THAT WAS NOT THE DEAL YOU ALREADY GOT YOUR REFUND BACK!" It took me by surprise because not even two minutes ago he has said "we can refund you the $15 to your card and you can still use this $11 code, that's a good deal and you should take it" - I told him that is not what he had said earlier and he became very angry and upset! He continued to yell "that was not the deal you got your refund back!" I told him he had bad customer service and he shouldn't be saying anything it he can't keep his word. The manger lady stepped in and apologized. I didn't want to deal with that anymore so I left it at that and decided to just buy another car wash at the gas pump when I pumped gas. (9:40pm now) However I was not able to get a car wash because even though they closed the car wash at 10pm they closed it at 9:30pm!!! I was upset because I spent 40 minutes dealing with this issue and I ended up being yelled at by the male cashier , he tricked me into keeping the new code and not honoring me the car wash for the machine breaking down, and they closed the car wash early! I'd rather feel the one star, because the gas experience itself isn't bad. I'm just knocking it down from the car wash experience. For one, if you tell me you're giving me $1 off my car wash if I fill up my gas here, you better give me that discount! I can drive to Costco for almost half a dollar less a gallon, yet you still didn't give me my fair discount. Fine, whatever, just get my car washed. I tried the Works and honestly it was underwhelming. For one, my car had a decent trickle of soap still running down the windshield when the dryer started - I don't want to think about how the body of my car turned out. Plus, I'm pretty sure I got a couple new scratches on my door that makes it look like I got keyed. Way to go, Shell. Not only was my car was more expensive than advertised, it was also pretty crappy. This establishment did the very least to help me out. For some reason, the manager was never in and when they were, they did not want to help whatsoever. You do not drive your tire onto a gear for this one you simply drive forward on the green light. When the light turns red you park in the middle and turn your car off. This Shell location seems bigger than most. I was in the area and noticed they have a car wash, so I decided to pull in and get a car wash here! I went inside to purchase a code for the car wash -- apparently you need to purchase gas or else they charge you an extra $1 for the car wash. But the man at the register was very nice and didn't charge me the extra $1 cause I didn't need any gas, so that made me happy :D Car wash price ranges from $6 to $10 depending on how clean you want it (refer to the photo). Anyways, went back in my car and pulled over to the car wash entrance -- was kind of surprised there were so many cars! There was two car in front of me and another two cars behind me, but the wait wasn't too long since I wasn't in a rush or anything.
