San Francisco and San Jose are very different, but you wouldn't be able to tell by comparing corner markets. Delmas Market is like so many corner markets. Slightly overpriced, but they manage to have what you need at 10:30 at night, which tends to be snack foods and big-bottled drinks. Delmas is located near the Diridon train station and the San Fernando VTA light rail stop. While VTA likely doesn't allow food and drink on-board, Caltrain is good that way. If you're on your way back from downtown San Jose and need a snack before boarding the last Caltrain out of San Jose, stop by Delmas Market.

Kind of a weird odor in the aisles here. Old school alcohol posters with booze babes. Porn rack draped with a cover but we all know whats going on there. Waiwera water for 99 cents? Thats the steal

Awesome Burritos! Cheaper, better & bigger that at SAP Center.

The cashiers are always respectful. And if your a regular customer, they treat you like family.

I have been using this pharmacy for a long time with few issues. However, I'm old and wanted to get the new COVID vaccine recently. I got an appointment, showed up, and they refused the vaccine because I'm on Medicare. I called the pharmacist after and talked to her about it, and she started that they couldn't give me the vaccine because of my Medicare supplement. I pointed out that vaccines are part of normal Medicare and do not require a supplement, so it doesn't matter what supplement I have. She suggested I go to CVS, so I went to the one in Willow Glen and had a very nice experience. Now, I'm not even sure it's legal for them to refuse a vaccine for someone on "regular" Medicare (not "Medicare advantage," which I might understand), or if they have gotten into some anti-vax "MAHA" kick. But I want to warn my fellow older neighbors that this Walgreens seems to not be friendly to Medicare patients any more. Really a shame and very disappointing, but, outside of warning you, I don't know what can be done about this except take the little side trip to CVS.
