Scam - Cashier adds surplus onto items. He then adds atm fees regardless if you meet the minimum purchase amount. When confronting him, he acts as if he doesn't understand English. I understand things are tough for small business owners but there are tons of great and legitimate liquor stores in the area. Don't waste your time or money at this shady store. read more

Other than the taqueria inside this place is horrifying, I'm sorry that taqueria has to be affiliated with this market, but maybe they should find a new location. San Francisco and San Jose are very different, but you wouldn't be able to tell by comparing corner markets. Delmas Market is like so many corner markets. Slightly overpriced, but they manage to have what you need at 10:30 at night, which tends to be snack foods and big-bottled drinks. Delmas is located near the Diridon train station and the San Fernando VTA light rail stop. While VTA likely doesn't allow food and drink on-board, Caltrain is good that way. If you're on your way back from downtown San Jose and need a snack before boarding the last Caltrain out of San Jose, stop by Delmas Market. read more

2 stars because they sell Jarritos and Gatorade, and they are in a decent downtown-ish location. Service sucks though, the cashiers don't bother to tell you the total and no greeting or basically any effort of service. If it wasn't for the taqueria I would NEVER come inside this place (or the parking lot with busted glass all over). Side note: definitely go to the Taqueria Imperio if you like Mexican food. I go for the shrimp and chicken tacos most often. Cash only and seems to be run separately from the liquor store. The short guy typically on the grill is very pleasant, smiles often, and provides friendly courteous service. His female counterpart (when he isn't working), not so much. read more

I've been going to Delmas Market for several years. I usually hit this place up before and after Sharks games. I'm a super fan now that there is an Imperio Taqueria inside. Very good place to get a kick-ass burrito before you go to a game. The burritos are better, bigger & cheaper than in the Shark tank. There should actually be a separate listing for the place on yelp. This is a market that's maybe gotten a little worse over time. It increasingly sells paraphernalia and malt liquor to the homeless in the neighborhood and seems to be a little less a "grocery" than it used to be. It's useful that it's open from around 7 to 11. The staff is friendly. Worth seeing--the amazing Sharks mural in the parking lot. read more

The people working inside are pretty cool considering all the riff raff they must deal with. The mexican food place inside is pretty decent. The scratchers are about average for winning. My only gripe about the place is that damn near everything they sell is almost or past expiration date. read more

Moving from Japantown was a little depressing since I know I was losing the proximity of my favorite liquor store in all of SJ, Kelly's Liquors. However, I was excited that this liquor store is a hop, skip and jump away from my new spot. Though I was excited to experience this new store, I was immediately let down when I saw the lackluster selection of beer. They basically just have your typically name-brand major domestic beers. I am completely devastated that they didn't have any craft beers like I'm used to getting at Kelly's. Perhaps if I am desperate to keep the party going at my spot and need a quick pack of Corona then I guess this place will suffice. There is one redeeming factor in this entire store and that is the Imperio Taqueria located inside of the place. Everything looked delicious, so when I get a chance to try that I'll post a review on their Yelp page. Overall, if you are seeking a decent liquor store and not trying to get any fancy craft beer then definitely head to this spot. read more
