OMG...an honest plumbing company!! This is a family and Navy Vet owned company whose motto is "Bringing Honesty and Integrity Back" and they truly live up to that statement!! Kitchen drain backup on Saturday. Steven showed up earlier than promised and spent several hours trying his best to clear the blockage without success. He returned Monday morning with more aggressive equipment. The blockage remained impenetrable after several hours of attempts with every tool and trick available. He honestly discussed possible solutions and we agreed on a reroute around the problem, settling on the least complicated route that also avoided any damage to my house. Tuesday morning Steven returned to commence a full day of work. Gary, the owner, came out to see and approve our plan. Gary suggested sending additional help on Wednesday to complete the job. Steven started digging the trench. He then worked through his lunch break fabricating the pipes, connecting the system, testing the system, filling in the trench, replacing the sod, and cleaning up the work area. NO need for extra workers on Wednesday! Job done! Kitchen is back! Steven even returned Wednesday morning just to confirm my satsfaction. I have now found my plumber for ALL future plumbing needs. This morning my water heater pilot turned off and after many attempts to reignite it, I had no choice but to call a plumber for assistance. I then called and spoke to Gary over the phone. I set up an appointment and inquired of any suggestions he may have to assist me over the phone to ignite the pilot. After we hung up I kept applying what Gary suggested and to my surprise it eventually worked! I immediately called Gary back and thanked him for his assistance as well as cancelled my appointment. Gary provided great customer service as well as demonstrated that whether I was a paying customer or not, he would still help. My home warranty gave me Gary's number yesterday. Upon calling him he said he still hasn't got the schedule ready and to call him back within an hour that's when he is going to start with his schedule. Called him back 3 hours later and he said he still hasn't gotten a Chance to let me know and it's already 6pm. Then I mentioned that I need a time frame because it's Friday last day of the week so I can organize my day. I guess that was too much for him because he said call back your home warranty and say I am not being sufficient enough and get another service. And then hung up. Already being frustrated with the situation at home with the water heater or your plumbing. This is not the company for you to call due to the lack of Efficiency In customer service knowledge. They are going to make your day even worst than it is. In my opinion they might be good at what they do. But they are horrible at customer service. Had a mainline stoppage at 4:15 pm on Saturday Easter weekend. Called Gary, he said he would get on it. I live in Lancaster and the guys were coming from Granada Hills and by 5:15 they were at my front door. I was so grateful for their promptness. I've had main line stoppages for several years because of pine trees and the roots are really bad for the pipes. I was told that eventually I would need to replace my sewer line because of all the roots. I'm on a tight budget and can't afford to spend several thousand dollars for a new sewer line. Gary explained in detail that the ultimate solution would be to replace the sewer line, but he offered another less expensive solution and that would be to hydro jet the pipes for a fraction of the cost. What I really liked was that the guys showed me the pipe line with all the roots on camera and when they finished how clear the pipes were...no more roots. I know it's not a permanent fix but for right now I can sleep a lot better knowing I'm not going to have another stoppage in the near future. I had a leaking water heater and Shellback took care of it. Gary was very fair and straight forward. I told him I would get a second opinion after his technician came out for free to assess the damage. Needless to say I decided to go with Shellback. First of all the customer service is like know other, I call and spoke with Jenny about setting up an appointment, she was very helpful, kind and most of all very friendly, you don't hear that often when people answer the phone. I had a leaking kitchen sink water running all over place so we call Shellback Plumbing and Drain. I was having major drainage issues caused by roots in my pipes And had such a bad experience with even getting a quote out of another company that I put it on the back burner until my backyard was flooding due to the recent rains. I contacted Shellback and they got back to me right away and sent a team out within hours. I had a complex plumbing problem that involved a vent pipe that needed to be replaced and pipes that needed to be jetted out with water. Two previous plumbers I worked with incorrectly diagnosed the problem and were not able to fix it, costing me a lot of money. One of the plumbers even said that I would have to just live with the issue and it could not be fixed. When the 2 guys from Shellback were unable to snake my pipes (which they worked hours on) to fix the issue they did not charge me for it. Shellback plumbing brings integrity and honesty to a higher level. We had a backed up sewer from tree roots. I called to set up an appointment and the phone was answered promptly. Byron had a sewer camera that showed the inside of the pipe and root bulb growing. The situation was assessed and blockage was temporarily cleared quickly and efficiently. The bad news was these roots were to re grow in 6-8 months and routine hydro Jetting was an bi annual option. A new liner was suggested as a more durable option to keep the integrity of the line. I chose the more durable option. There were some unexpected underground issues that came up during the resolve. The Shellback team ended up adding a new lateral to the street. They went over budget, however the price remained the same flat cost estimate to me. Truly gifted professionals that I can personally recommend. read more

On Saturday my house almost flooded, I called Shellback plumbing and they had Albert out to my house in about 30 min. He wasn't able to clear it with the snake. So he had to come back Monday and install a new clean out and then was able to successfully clear out my main line. Also had them do the hydro jet since there were roots in the line. Alex H. was a very knowledgeable and thorough guy who was able to identify not only the real source of our kitchen sink problem, but also other potential issues that needed to be addressed. Our kitchen sink cabinet (under sink) had become totally covered with rust powder, but it was not obvious where the humidity that causes it was coming from. Alex H. found a tiny hole in the garbage dispenser that I had not even seen. He had to replace the unit, as well as a couple of water valves under th sink that were in bad shape. I'm so happy that I went with Shellback, Alex had me all fixed up in no time flat! That's the short story. The long story; I had a leak and called Plumbing by Kirk. That was a a waste of time and money. When they were done I still had the same leak. They sold me a new regulator though and some sink plugs. Plugs should've been free since they caused a second leak that made the purchase of new plugs necessary. They also told me that they couldn't fix my leak without busting out the tile that surrounds my tub, where the original leak was. I told Alex this story he laughed then said "I got chu." He was absolutely excellent in how fast he knocked this leak out of my life for good, AND he didn't even need to bust out my tile. This company is bomb!! Believe the reviews. We had a main line stoppage and needed help quickly. Our home warranty company set us up with a plumber who couldn't come out for 2 days. I called Shellback at almost 4:30 pm on a Friday. The guy I spoke to was very nice and had someone out less than 30 minutes later. Edgar came and he was great l. He was able to clear the blockage as well as use the camera to find a root that was blocking our pipe. He was very friendly and let us know our options to fix our issue. He made a call to one of his coworkers and set us up the following morning to have our line jetted and use a chemical to kill to remove the root. Joseph came out and he was great as well. Talk about honest, on time and customer service. I am a dummy when it comes to plumbing. We had a laundry line rattling shaking and bumbing the wall when the washer would run.
