Really awesome guys! I had an issue that 2 plumbers (Heys and On Call Plumbing) couldn't or wouldn't fix so I called these guys out to help me. At first I was dubious because there was a 20-something (I later found out he's a 30-something) who showed up at the door and I was thinking, "Here we go again. Another no-nothing 'plumber' I have to deal with." But I was wrong about him. His name is Joseph (I believe he said but he spells it a little differently) and he was able to quickly narrow down the problem with a pump that Heys Plumbing installed less than a year ago on my also brand-new water heater (to get hot water to the master shower faster...because it's the farthest point from my water heater) but there was something wrong with the "heat bursts" of hot water, making the water VERY HOT (scalding)...even hot on the cold side too. So, Joseph figured out that it was the splitter, replaced it, and everything was good. It was done quicker than I thought and for less money that I thought it would. I'm impressed. Not only was Joseph really nice but he was knowledgeable about plumbing and explained everything to me in Layman's terms...even though I still don't "get" plumbing at all. (It's just not my thing, what can I say?!) I now know why these guys have so many 5-star reviews. It's because they deserve them all. Shellback just came to my rescue! I had waited since last Thursday for another plumbing company to respond to my clogged kitchen drain. They kept promising but as of Monday---no luck. I called Shellback and they responded right away. The guys were clean, pleasant and cleared out the drain very quickly. Recently I had a leak in the disposal under the kitchen sink. I read some of the reviews on YELP and decided to give this local business a chance. At 8:30 AM, I spoke with Jenny and scheduled an appointment that day between 2 & 4 PM. At approx 12:30 PM, I received a call from the technician and he asked if he could come earlier. In 15 minutes Adan was in my kitchen checking the disposal. He was familiar with this brand of disposal and ultimately discovered that the disposal was not quite seated properly and the brackets were loose. The disposal was installed by another plumber during a kitchen remodel, but that's another story. After the adjustments Adan tested the disposal to determine the leaks did not resurface and gave further advice regarding the upkeep of the disposal. At the end there was no charge for the service. I would highly recommend this business for their prompt response, polite and professional manner. read more

They didn't solve the problem, only temporarily unclogged our toilet, and charged $90. The very next time we used the toilet it clogged again. Tech suggested we replace all parts in toilet for a mere $250 ($20 worth of parts) if we continue to experience clogging. We replaced the parts as recommended by the technician and still had clogging. Technician said we need a new toilet if the parts don't resolve the problem. We bought a new toilet (only $100 by the way- so why would parts cost $250!?). While we were installing the toilet we decided to try to clean out the old toilet just to be sure we couldn't fix it ourselves. Low and behold, there was a bubble wand stuck in there! Now it works like new. We called Shellback to explain the situation and Gary was extremely rude, replying with, "so what are you looking for today?" My husband said he paid his tech to fix and problem and he never actually fixed the problem. Gary replied with, "I'll just give you your money back so we can be on our way." He was so nice when we were scheduling our appointment but when there's a problem i guess customer service goes out the window! read more

If I could give them six stars they would have it. Superb Customer care. They were called out as an emergency from my home warranty plan for my water heater that burst. I first spoke with Gary and he acknowledged I was on a very tight timeframe because I have to go out of town so he preplanned what it was I was going to be needing in order to alleviate any additional time in install. Overall, the job was well done, at a fair price, and Danny was a nice guy. However, here are the reasons I am giving four stars instead of five: 1) time frame window was originally 10am to 12 pm, and he wasn't able to make it until after 1:30. Understandable since weekends get busy, but messed my schedule up a bit. 2), after my faucet was installed, that night I discovered that my dishwasher wasn't working. The next day I noticed my reverse osmosis water purifier wasn't working either! Bottom line, the plumber had accidentally dislodged the electrical plug during the work under my sink- a simple fix, but for a non-tech girl like me I was stressed out until I was able to troubleshoot the problem. Called Shellback Pluming for kitchen drainage blockage after I trying to solve problem by myself so many time and couldn't unclog and it got worse. The receptionist was friendly. My downstairs bathroom was pushing out water when my upstairs shower was running. This company is really bad when it comes to working in a area thats gonna get tested by a hygentist..They leave dust everywhere .Scratch up peoples flooring and have no consideration for working with other companies that work hard to keep the containment clean..There was dust all over the stove, stairs and handprints on the walls..I would never in my life pick this sorry Plumbing company.. read more

By far the best plumbing businesses I have ever delt with since moving to the Santa Clarita Valley. I have had several other big name plumbing operations come perform repairs over the past seventeen years but they were not as efficient as Shellback Plumbing. I received a text message letting me know that they were on their way and Joseph the technician who performed the repair cleaning the main sewage line took the time going over the images from the bore scope camera pointing out the root ball that had penetrated the line and was quick to head back to the shop to get the Hydrojet. He provided me with a quote on the spot and there were no surprises and he spent the necessary time needed to clear the pipe and was not going to leave until I was happy with the job. I'm never going to go with another plumbing operation, I know that the line will need to be lined in the future and I will be calling Shellback Plumbing to perform the repairs but for now I know I'll be safe to get through the Christmas Holiday. read more

Wow - I feel like I am having a dream - but it is true. Gary, the owner of Shellback plumbing responded immediately to my Yelp email and his plumber Jimmy arrived at my house within an hour. Jimmy, the plumber, put his clean boot covers on EVERY time he came into my house. He diagnosed the problem, left to get a part and was back to finish the job very quickly for exactly what the quote was. The quote BTW was much less than 2 other plumbers who responded via Yelp. He explained the problem and showed us the part that was causing the issue. Oh and he wiped down my shower doors when he was done. Hard workers and always make the repairs. My shower leak was on the second floor, Wish the ceiling was not cut open on my 1st floor suspecting it was the drain. The valve and other options should have been checked first. This caused me dry wall ceiling work now too! But I have used shellback twice and they have been great overall. read more

I usually dont give 5 stars, but Gary really deserves a good review. I had a broken pipe in my garage on a Sunday afternoon. I tried calling several other plumbers with no luck. I was actually surprised Shellback picked up so fast. He told me to hold on for 10 mins while they checked if he had a technician free, if not he would come himself. Gary came within 30 mins of calling, only because i was down the street in Valencia. He fixed the pipe and was able to turn water back on in my condo. I was really happy that he stayed on his original quote, plus a few bucks for an extra pipe connection we didnt expect. I also had another problem because the my main water shut off wasnt closing completely. He walked me through what steps i need to take to fix that with my HOA. Overall i'm extremely happy that Gary came by on a Sunday afternoon when he could have been at lunch. read more

We came back from our vacation and on day 1 found water leaks above the dining area. We have our master bathroom upstairs and realized the leaks coming from there. I called up Shellback after reading all the positive reviews and got an appointment for the afternoon. It was not an easy task to identify the issue even after cutting open the ceiling drywall. Gary the owner also came in to help and after many hours found a crack in a pipe. Long story short, Gary and his team worked hard and got the fix in. So glad I did some research and called these guys. Woke up to a dead water heater yesterday morning and I'm not fond of cold showers at my age. Called Edgar and he sent David to my house. He showed up about 15 minutes outside the said time window but I'm sure things are slowed down to Covid but that's to be expected these days. He worked with the heater and almost got it going but the parts were bad. It was a year out of warranty so I had some hard choices to make. I decided not to wait 3-5 days for parts that might/might not work and let him go to his next job while I went to a Big Box and bought a replacement heater. Brought it home and when David was done with his call, he came back and installed it for us. Also brought it up to code which the last guy did not do or even talk about. Wow, need more stars to rate what they deserve!! I called a few other places on a Friday evening and either no answer, were too booked or would get someone who didn't have a clue how to take a message or provide a call back as promised. Call Shellback on Saturday around 1:00 pm, spoke with Jenny (sorry if I have the name wrong), ended up able to fit me in at 4;00 to clean out drain lines, (great start). Then Joseph arrives even a bit before 4:00, (even better). We discuss the issues I'm having with my drains, he starts off with scoping the drain in the garage, and yup, it's clogged with sludge and who knows what else, recommends the hydroblast instead of the regular snake, for both the kitchen clean out and the garage drain for a fair price. I agreed and he got started right away. Joseph was super thorough, ran the process multiple times and scoped the lines in between runs. Drains all clear!! (Keeps getting better)Then he addresses the slow draining toilet, runs the auger and recommends a DIY remedy. No charge(still getting better), then takes the time to show me the best way to rebuild my drain and clean out in the garage. Yes I had planned on doing it myself, and no he wasn't trying to get out of doing it, he offered a reasonable estimate as well. Fantastic experience all around!!!
