The phone representative with whom I spoke this afternoon lacks customer service skills. I had a warranty appointment for tomorrow morning for refrigerator not cooling. She told me that they needed to reschedule and the earliest they could get someone to check my no cooling issue is 7 days later! I told her that was unacceptable. She suggested that I could call Frigidaire to find someone else. I said that I would do that, and she said she would cancel my appointment. End of call. She made it sound as if they don't care about my business. This was my first experience with Shelton. I was hoping it would go well so that I could call on them for other services. But after this experience, I will never call them again. read more

I contacted Whirlpool for service, and they referred me to Shelton Quality Services. Shortly after, I received a call from their office. The representative began the conversation by abruptly stating, "We will not come out on Thursday; we are booked until next Friday. I don't know why they told you that." When I asked if there was anyone else available, she said no, told me to call Whirlpool back, and then hung up on me. This behavior was shockingly rude and unprofessional. The representative's complete lack of customer service, poor phone etiquette, and dismissive attitude make me question how this company treats its clients. Based on this experience alone, I would not feel comfortable allowing anyone from this company into my home. I strongly urge this company to address its customer service practices, and I caution other customers to be aware of the unprofessionalism I experienced. read more

Trash from the start. lady called me to ask if I can move my appointment up 1 day because they had something going on..... tomorrow comes and appointment between 8-12pm they no called no showed. And they will not answer their phones for the life of them. I changed my work schedule to accommodate moving it for who knows. could have least communicated. it's better to communicate with bad news rather then no communication at all. had a terrible experience, waited over a month for "parts" And when the "parts' finally came in. nobody called, ended up calling and they lied and said that they called me twice and left messages. I have zero calls and zero messages. I tried to call multiple times and magically there is no record of my repeated calls. My ice maker stopped working after the last cold snap, the water supply to my refrigerator & washing machine froze. After the line thawed out my ice maker still didn't work so I called Sheldon's Appliance Repair. Gary M. from Sheldon's came out 1/18/24. He was here 10 minutes, charged me $100, looked at me like I was an idiot & left. He said there wasn't water coming to the refrigerator, I should call a plumber. Guaranteed Plumbing came by to check my water supply. He discovered the valve to the water supply had been turned off. I didn't know there was a turn off valve & I live alone, the plumber said the guy from Sheldon Repair must have turned it off & he certainly should have known a water shut off valve when he saw one. The plumber was kind enough not to charge me. Terrible customer service. read more

Miserable service. I would award zero stars if possible. Horrible communication. Consistently arguing about what is covered under warranty when the manufacturer issues them a repair ticket to diagnose and fix the appliance. Won't even bother to call and confirm the appointment day/time the manufacturer said they agreed to. John G , technician showed up... wrote on his invoice that he was here from 12:45 to 1:20... more like 15 minutes total... $147 later I was told that my washing machine tub beating was bad not worth fixing ... wait I just paid a lot of money for that LG machine a few years ago ?? Next $49 to tell me that my dryer has a possible clogged vent... but wait we only get paid to diagnose we don't do work. Their customer service is horrible! I went without a fridge for 2 months! They came out and told me I needed a new compressor. Did not tell me if it was going to be covered under warranty, just said it should be here in 2 weeks and rushed out of the house. 3 weeks went by, I called once to check on the status of the part for my fridge and was told they are still waiting for the part to come in. 1 month went by, called and was told the same thing, the month after that I started calling weekly for updates. I left voicemails without a call back, was told they couldn't check on the progress of my part due to their system being down, I got told they would check into it and give me a call back (that I never got), and I was also told they would call the technician that came out, talk to him and call me back (never got that call). After 2 months without a fridge or any update on when I would have it fixed I called and they said "oh it looks like your part came in yesterday, let's get you on the schedule." They didn't even call me when it came in.. I had to call. Then wait another week for them to actually come out. The same technician came out. Didn't start actually talking to me until he yanked the fridge out, broke a glass bottle of alcohol that was sitting on top of the fridge that had fallen behind the fridge and shattered (I would have cleared everything off the top of the fridge if I would have known). He said he had to manually weld the part in and would give it the weekend before putting food in it to make sure it works and doesn't fail and if it does call the company back. 1 month after the repair I am calling back because I am getting the same error as before and am fixing to throw away another $400 of food because the fridge won't cool. I had my 2 door Jenn Air fridge go out just before Thanksgiving. I called Shelton and they had a repairman out quickly. initially it looked like the unit was done but Gary did extra research and testing and was able to repair it with a 2 part fix. This saved me thousands of dollars in replacement cost. The service was quick efficient and very professional. Can't recommend them too highly. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. Maytag sent me to them to get my brand new washer fixed. He came out and found the problem and ordered a part he told me it would be in next week and he would come out that week to install it. I have called the past 3 days trying to talk to someone. the first day they said the part was in and the lady was on lunch break at 3pm and that my name was probably in the stack on her desk that she needs to call and schedule appointments and that i would be hearing from her. NEVER did. So next day I call I speak to someone and he can't even find my ticket and told me he would call me back. NEVER DID. So today I call... I speak to a lady she tells me without even asking for my information that my part is not here. So i ask when will it get here she said she has no way of knowing and that the guy who can find out isn't here until next Monday... Now going on 3 weeks no washer. SCAM company. My ice maker stopped working in my 5 door kitchenaide. its a known issue and an easy fix. Was going to fix it myself for 100 bucks but Kitchenaide told me it was covered by warranty. they contracted Shelton Quality to come out.. I spoke with Shelton (lady) and she said they couldnt tell me over the phone if the ice maker was covered (but they 100% knew it wasnt). Gary came out and told me it would be well over 1000 bucks, and that this refridgerator was a terrible one. he did NOT even do any diagnostics, didnt look at the ice maker, nothing. he was in my gouse for 5 minutes and I told him I didnt want to waste any more of his time, and that i would fix it myself.. he asked for the 100 bucks and i said nope. their dispatch lady calls me and starts harassing me. i kept telling her to stop calling but she kept calling telling me she would call kitchenaide and tell them not to fix anything for me. lol. i could case less. DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! They knew the entire time my parts were not under warranty. They will rope you in and then tell you its better to just replace the appliance then ask you for 100 bucks. thats all they want, is the $100 dollar service fee (to do nothing). The ice maker motor is 100 bucks on amazon, and its super easy to put in. read more

Like many 1-star reviews here, I lost the warranty lottery and got stuck with Shelton to complete work on my Frigidaire induction cooktop. After a few minutes tinkering under my counter, the technician told me that I had installed the cooktop incorrectly (even though it had been installed by Hahn Appliance) and he couldn't do any work until I had it uninstalled and reinstalled properly. I of course called Hahn, who promptly sent out the Distribution Manager. Once he was under the cabinet, he assured me it had been installed properly, but apologized for the inconvenience. By this point I had the unfortunate experience of needing to call the front desk at Shelton several times, only to be berated for my audacity to ask for expedient service on a necessary appliance. Never in my life have I been spoken to in such a way by someone in customer service. After such ridiculously awful experiences, I called Frigidaire and requested a new service company, who have since resolved the issue with no delay. If you too lose the warranty lottery and get stuck with Shelton, call the manufacturer immediately to request different service. If you're willing to spend your own dollars for such awful service, you are a fool. read more

Horrible service, every time they come to figure out what is wrong with the refrigerator, they say they don't know what to do, then they order a part that they think it might work we wait for the part for ever, and then finally they come they change it and nothing. The lady who answered the phone gets mad for not knowing what is wrong with the refrigerator (I'm not a technician, I just know that is not making ice and cooling) she wants to know why? Me too? She supposed to be helping but she just gets mad. I am the one that have been with out a refrigerator for more than 6 months, with same issue since they started coming. Re-posting, they removed my bad review, wonder why? Less than desirable experience, my brand new whirlpool, needed a lot of work. Unfortunately, every time JR came out to repair/Rig because he never fixed anything, the machine went back to being inoperable after 4-5 washes. Note, if you Sheltons Repair, have a problem explaining to customers, not bits and pieces of information, something is wrong. Red Flag. One of the responses I received from him was, just let me do my job. I have a new repair company, they explained everything. My machine needs a lot more work. JR left over a week ago, saying I needed more parts, never ordered anything according to the receptionist at Sheltons. Someone was supposed to call me back, they never did, and I called 4 more times yesterday, no response. I'll never recommend this place. Needed our Fridgidaire oven repaired and my daughter had used Shelton Quality Service with good results. JR came out and diagnosed the problem pretty quickly and got the parts on order. Within a few days he came out and installed the parts and we're back in business! Overall, a good experience. We will use them again when needed. read more

I called them for service, (so service means for me and google says: perform routine maintenance or repair work on machines or vehicle.) I called them for service. The repairman came but didn't thoroughly look for the problem , he overlook the oven light. In trust, I expect it is their line of work, repairman should do and know his job right. I called them back and the front desk has lot of excuses, and made twist on reasoning out their side. They want me pay again for the back job. DONT GET THEIR SERVICES ANYMORE . I have a brand new Whirlpool dishwasher that needed repairs that were covered under warranty. Whirlpool had made all the arrangements for a tech to come out and fix it. Shelton's sent a tech out within 2 days. The tech was super friendly, punctual and professional. A part needed to be ordered so the repairs couldn't be done the same day sadly. However, the part came in quickly, and the same tech came shortly after that and had the dishwasher all fixed up. Very happy with their service! read more

I can see why there were so many bad reviews! I was referred to Shelton by the Amana warrantee hotline, who has made an 8am appointment for me. I called the company to confirm and they said they didn't have that time available and the secretary wanted to school me on how they schedule their workers. I told her it wasn't worth an argument and hung up. She called me back to tell me how nice I was for hanging up and wanted to continue arguing. Lord knows what the workers are like in your home if this is their customer service! FYI, they only take checks or cash, which seems a bit shady. read more

Maytag needs to know his warranty repairs don't fix the problem. We purchased a washer at Lowe's that had a repair ticket attached. He said problem fixed On ticket. I washed ONE load of clothes and it is doing exactly what repair order was for. Talked to Lowe's said they have had other complaints on this business. Maytag tells you where to have warranty work done. Lady who answered phone was rude as can be. Oh they could come repair again for a service fee. Umm NO THANK YOU! I had Whirlpool assign a new service company for this claim and J & J Appliance came out, actually took his time and provided a very thorough evaluation and diagnosis. Others are reporting negatively about Shelton, with several of the reviews tangled up with obvious personal issues. My experience with Shelton has been 5-star. I bought a new refrigerator this year from a well-known appliance dealer in Tulsa. Problems from the beginning. The dealer kicked me to the curb, as did the appliance service who was supposed to serve me under warranty. I was left on my own to deal with Whirlpool company, which was the worst nightmare customer "no-service" I've ever suffered through. Two refrigerators, three icemakers, four fridge doors later (all defective and the same fridge model number), and many, many frustrating, work-robbing hours on hold. At times I was treated rudely by customer service reps. Finally, Whirlpool agreed to refund my hard-earned cash. They also sent Shelton Appliance Service to bring the refund check and remove the defective fridge. I purchased another fridge, this time from Lowe's, and all went smoothly. Shelton was the company Lowe's had contracted to come out and swap out the new fridge's ice maker when it turned out defective. Through this process, I dealt with Megan, the young lady who answered the phone, scheduled appointments, called with appointment reminders, and was careful to clarify everything. I dealt, in total, with three of their service men who came out on the two occasions mentioned above. Each of these four employees (I believe one was the owner) were stellar. All were polite, well-spoken (no swearing or "slop-talk") respectful, and kindly addressed my questions. The three men who came to my home were clean and tidy in appearance, nicely dressed in clean work clothes, and carefully cleaned up their task messies. All four people were 5-star workers who gave 5-star customer service. I have an extended protection plan on my new fridge, and it happens that Shelton is the company who does their warranty work in Tulsa. This was a great relief to me, to know that if needed, I will be served by a local, hard-working company who have so far been all I could ever ask for. I commend Shelton Appliance Service for being the great, personal, caring company a local business can be. This company has my highest recommendation thus far. This is a great business except for one small problem that my son and I experienced with them. He had a gold digger for a girlfriend and she talked him into buying her a washer and dryer from the store where they sell their scratch and dent. Well you know how your children always think we're meddling when we try and explain something to them. The next day she got into it with him in my house not even 24 hours after he purchased that with his credit card. Then she left madder than _ _ _ _. So he picked up the phone and canceled the order and delivery of said item. After they told him they would not deliver they did anyway. Even though they basically broke up. So now the police and legal system will be involved. Just FYI always follow up in person. And don't delete your texts from the person whom you tried to help and then they shit on you. read more

Tried several days to get a service rep and when he finally called and said he was on his way and he never showed. I called the office to see what happened and to no surprise they never called me back. They act like the customer owes them, no caring, no apologies. They refused to come to my house to fix my refrigerator after months of going back and forth because I called her out on being incredibly rude. I have waited over two weeks to get it repaired and when they canceled my last appointment, the woman on the phone was very rude with me. This place is a joke. Really sad that this is the only business in Tulsa area that services Lowe's warranties. Come on Lowe's you can do better. You have to take an entire day off work to wait on them to show up unprepared for the repair, then schedule another entire day off work to wait on them to actually repair it. We had an issue with our old oven. The guys came by, diagnosed the issue. A couple of days later they've installed the replacement part. Now, everything works as new. This is the appliance service that one expects. read more
