We got a Shenandoah wine tour bus for my sisters bachelorette party and our expectations were blown away. Beth and Daniel were our tour guides and we couldn't have asked for better people. Having them with us made the day better. We all got along so well, we made them take a picture with us by the end of the day. We were all so happy they were a part of our experience. The wineries they took us to were so much fun and each one was different in their own unique way. Also, the snacks that came with the tour were delicious and paired perfectly for a wine tour. Highly recommend them for a fun experience. Thank you Beth and Daniel!

My boyfriend and I spent a wonderful, long weekend in Virginia celebrating our anniversary, and the absolute highlight of our trip was the afternoon we spent touring wineries with Shelley from Shenandoah Wine Tours. Shelley was fun, knowledgeable, and one of the nicest people I've ever met. SWT will arrange to pick you up and drop you off--in our case, our cabin was a bit out of their range, but Shelley went above and beyond and reworked our tour to accommodate us. A fellow wino, she knew each of the winemakers at the four wineries we visited and the history of each of the vineyards. And, the snack boxes and bottled water that SWT provides were such a thoughtful touch that really added to our enjoyment. We can't wait to return.

We stopped by Castle Vineyards on a Saturday evening, excited that they were open late (until 7PM)…read more The interior had rustic farmhouse decor, with a bar to order at and plenty of seating. They offered both tastings and flights, but my friend and I both chose a glass of Rosé. The staff member had described it as crisp and dry, but it was still a bit too sweet for my preference - not terrible though. We sat on the rocking chairs outside and admired the nice view of green fields. I think they were setting up for a private event in the meantime, because people kept showing up with their own trays of food, and a whole bunch of children and dogs. Overall, we liked the ambiance here but the wine wasn't especially memorable and service was lukewarm.

This place is serene and extremely peaceful and I could probably just sit outside and take everything in for hours. There are a few boardgames to play as well. There aren't a lot of seating inside, but during the daytime, the place was very laid back and not overcrowded. There are no marked parking spaces, but people typically park on the grass and there is ample space for so many cars. The interior of the main building was very simple and "bare bones" but had a homely charm to it and the lovely woman who served our flights was such a gentle, warm person who complemented the peacefulness of the place! My friend and I ended up buying our own bottles of wine and my fiance absolutely loved the Barren Ridge's Touriga wine that I got for him! Will definitely be back to bring him the next time around! Just a great place to take a step back and enjoy some wine!

This was my second time and Nikki's first, and we pulled up READY for great wine, good vibes, and a cute little winery moment . From the second we walked in, the staff greeted us like we were long-lost cousins coming home for the holidays . We did a guided tasting at the bar -- six wines for around $15 (a STEAL, okay!?), and the fun began. Nikki's fave: Bourbon Barrel Chambourcin -- the star of her whole life that day 2019 Chambourcin Oaked Aged 36 months in new American oak... listen... this wine came in sweet on the nose, fruity on the tongue, and creamy on the finish. Light, playful, and honestly kinda flirty. Perfect with stuffing or honestly anything because she was drinking it like it was juice . My fave: 2018 Petit Manseng -- MY GIRL!! Light, dry, citrusy, pear-y, pineapple-y and giving "I'm that wine" energy. Complex but still smooth... basically the Beyoncé of the tasting. We even got to try some wines that weren't on the list, and let me tell you -- 90% of their wines were hitting. Like, not one flop in sight . But the BEST part? The vibe. The service. The "you're family here" energy. It literally felt like sipping wine at your cousin's cute countryside home you never knew they had . 10/10 recommend! Go, sip, laugh, vibe, repeat!
