In such open space, sound carries. Prepare to talk really loudly and strain to hear your conversation partners. The background music was nice--all the classy rock, pop, and modern hits bringing you nostalgia from the better days. A few outdoor tables available, if you'd like to people watch in good weather. Service is fast, staff are very efficient. We got $20 ribs special and $18 chicken sandwich panini. I was surprised that both were decent. Fries were not too salty nor greasy and not heavy at all (surprise). Ribs were tender and fell off the bone easily. They were served in sweet BBQ sauce. Instead of fries, I got salad--which was just a few lettuce leaves from a pre sold supermarket salad bag, so be warned. Chicken panini sandwich was the unanticipated standout of our meal--massive chicken breasts that were tender and well grilled were nestled between tasty toppings. Overall, this was very filling (can be shared by two) and satisfying. Very cheese and saucy, which I also appreciated, as I can't stand bland food.

What this bar pulled was completely unacceptable. They were openly reserving seats at the bar for certain people while telling everyone else they were unavailable. There was no advertised reservation policy, no advance notice, and no opportunity offered to regular customers. Apparently, the only way to get a seat is to know the owner, know the bartenders, or be part of the inner circle. What made it even worse was that my group had been sitting at the bar, ordering food and drinks starting around 7:30 PM, only to be forced out of our seats at 7:45 PM. The reservation signs on those seats clearly stated they were reserved for 8:15 PM. We were paying customers actively spending money, yet we were removed 30 minutes before the supposed reservation time. That is absolutely egregious behavior. I've worked in sports bars and have owned sports bars in New York City. In all my years in the business, I have never heard of reserving seats directly at the bar--especially during a major sporting event. It goes against everything that makes a sports bar successful. Bar seats have always been first-come, first-served. That's Sports Bar 101. I've spent plenty of money here over the years because it was always a great place to watch big games: good atmosphere, sound on the TVs, and a fun crowd. Unfortunately, last night proved that customer loyalty means absolutely nothing. Regular patrons were treated like second-class citizens while preferred customers received special treatment. For a bar that markets itself as a neighborhood sports destination, this was incredibly disappointing, unprofessional, and frankly insulting. If you're planning to watch a major game here, don't assume you'll be treated fairly. Unless you're friends with the right people, don't expect the same experience as everyone else. There are plenty of other sports bars in Brooklyn that understand how to treat customers. After last night, I'll be spending my money there instead. I won't be back, and I certainly won't be recommending this place to anyone. Let's Go Knicks

This is the best kept secret in all of Brooklyn, they have the best Kareoke I've ever seen. They have every song you can imagine. Eddie the kareoke guy is gorgeous, but married. he's mid 30's blond hair with blue eyes 6'-6'1" with a nice build and just a really nice guy. My friend Ally N. made a move on him and he told her right away that he was flattered but married. I was shocked because she NEVER gets turned away (especially by married guys). Sorry Ally but you know it's true. His wife is a very lucky girl. The bartender JR is a very attentive guy in his late 50's (especially to a group of hot 20 something women) and he's also very nice. He's like your friend's goofy dad who isn't sure how to act when girlfriends come over. We flirted with him a little and he loved it but he was harmless. It was such a cozy and friendly place and we all got to sing as often as we wanted. The kareoke guy kept going until almost 4 am when the bartender yelled at him to shut down. If you want to sing all night and not spend a fortune on drinks, this is the place to go. It's too bad the kareoke guy is only there on Saturdays. read more

Shenanigans is an old boys club where wasted, off duty cops get away with beating their girlfriends on the sidewalk, outside, in broad day light. Its been witnessed. The witnessed event was laughed off (by the cop- patrons and staff) and treated as if the cop- perpetrator had his pants down for not "doing it" behind closed doors. "Like we used to" spoken by cop-patron and followed by a slapping gesture. Like a rookie who'll learn to keep up appearances and do his beating at home. Shenanigans is an institutional petri dish for the growth of domestic violence. If you spend your money at this bar you are MORALLY DEPRAVED. god help you. read more

I sadly have been to this establishment 2 times just to make sure this wasn't a 1 time experience and point blank, short & simple, this pub is RACIST, always been racist & I've lived 1 block away for 35 yrs. Bartenders, regular customers & music stops when any type of color enters the door.
