They do things a little different so there a cart you set all presents and cake on and decorations and while kids are busy playing they set the room up which awesome. We wanted to do the escape room, but it was a 45 min wait until the next available time slot. The girl at the register told us that the next slot wasn't until 3:35. We told the her that we would be back for that 3:35 slot. We went to do a 30 min axe throwing session while we waited. The axe throwing was fun and the attendants were friendly. Then when we went back to do the escape room, that same girl informed us that time slot was not now available because we would have needed to book 30 minutes before. Went to play while visiting my sister in Dallas. My son is eight and loves video games. We went in a little after they opened and it wasn't too busy. We got a play card ( which is very reasonably priced) and my son played games for 1 1/2 hours. Then to play a game of bowling and over to the play area. We ate at Rosie's Grill and really enjoyed. I really don't know why anyone comes here. I only ended up here tonight bc my visiting family was so insistent on coming even after I said "They suck. Seriously, let's go somewhere else." The best ones (sarcasm) are the games that look to be functioning (screen showing a demo and the swipe pad is lit up) but don't work after you spend points to play. Of course no one is around to help you when you need someone to fix the issue. But the best part, the absolute most fun part, is that they just shut the games/machines down with no "we're closing" warning. So while we are standing at a game watching the ticket count go along to show the tickets being loaded for a win, the game just goes black. That's it. "Good night. Thanks for your money, but get out. No you can't redeem ****. We don't care that you're from out of town and their are no Shenaniganz in your area. Lol now get out for real." I have no idea if the kids got the tickets for their win (and it was a pretty big win) but Shenaniganz got my money so they don't care. The word "scam" is annoying and overused, but the way they run the arcade area is very scam-ISH. Definitely sticking to places like D&B or Main Event no matter what anyone else says. So they have a signs all over the e trance and by the shoe check out, about getting a $10.00 loaded card for games when you down load their app. Well I downloaded the app alright and then they ask you for a credit card so that it can be linked to your game card. I did not feel comfortable doing so so I opted out for second option, which was $12.00 for cup cakes, well I got that option and then they ask the same thing, a credit card. We had dinner here for our grandson's birthday. Seven adults and two children. The table we were put at required and extra chair be pulled to the head, with two adults sitting in the space intended for one. When soft drinks were served the tea did not have the requested lemon. The person asked the server about lemon and was told 'don't come at me, dude'. Seriously? Asking the server for the lemon you ordered calls for that? It wasn't nice and had it not been for the fact that the kids had been promised laser tag after dinner we'd have walked out right then. We should have. Next we were having appetizers, then half of us received our plates and we realized there were no utensils. We asked for utensils and the server returned with five forks for nine people. I guess the rest of us didn't count. We asked if there were knives available and were asked 'how many?'. I've never before been asked for a count on utensils, isn't one per adult the norm? All of these were annoying and insulting but the icing on the cake was when the server stacked a dish she was removing from the table directly into my dish which I was still eating from. The food was exactly what you'd expect in a recreational joint, the atmosphere lively and loud. TVs show sports all around. It was early Saturday evening and many tables were full. We used to really like coming to Shenaniganz, as we live pretty far out and this seemed like the best one for a long time. This is the second time we've come in 6 months and had sub par service both times. We came in to bowl and put our name down on the wait list. The wait time was acceptable, so like we usually do we asked if it was ok to sit down at the restaurant to grab a snack before bowling. Our server was nice, but we didn't get napkins or silverware even after our appetizer was delivered. She didn't come back for quite a while and we had to request them from the manager that came to check on our table. Our bowling lane came up and we still hadn't seen the server so we asked the manager to go ahead and bring the ticket so we could move things over to the bowling lane. Usually they do this for us, but no one offered this time. Not When I went up to claim the lane; the young lady and gentleman standing up there talking with each other were less than helpful. They seemed to act like I knew more about what to do than they did. After I asked the questions that they didn't give us instructions for, I then stood there for a minute waiting on them to tell me a lane number. He looked at me blankly and I said, "what lane are we on?" And he said, "oh, lane 4". We got shoes and went to the lane to find that we couldn't find any balls that were in our size and weight needs. We played our games, had a good time and the lanes were fine. The waitress was very sweet and helpful when we got to the lane and we appreciated her. But the service could definitely have been better beforehand and they could have been more helpful. While walking in and then walking out, the manager was in the office texting away on her phone both times. Definitely think she could have been out on the floor helping her staff and setting a better example of service. Wont keep us from ever returning, but we may drive to Terrell and pay a little more to have better service in the future. read more
