The one-star ding is for her resident Dr. Ashley Myers. You have to see her for intake for the first appointment. I had my first treatment with her and had flu-like symptoms for several days. She asked me to disrobe with the blinds open. She said I could close them myself. When I told her about my reaction to the treatment her response was defensive and belligerent. She said that perhaps acupuncture was not for me and didn't seem to be open to the possibility that her treatment was not appropriate for me. After asking that she talk to Dr. Yu, she got angry and yelled at me. I will not be treated by Dr. Ashley Myers again. Honestly think she shouldn't be in the healing arts business with her horrible bedside manner and disregard for patient feedback.

It was a very eye-opening experience to see just how traumatic my collision was on my body. From there they took the time to explain how I should deal with my injuries at home (icing times, other exercises and things I could do along the way). They were very careful at first with adjusting me since my body was so sore/damaged. As time went on they increased treatment they would do and gave me advice along the way. They later let me know when I was ready to start physical therapy and gladly provided recommendations to me as well. I was very happy I chose to go here. The front office staff are very friendly and always greet you with a smile. They also have tea and nice cold water for you in the waiting room. Dr. Leslie is AMAZING! I have been suffering from back pain and aches for the past few months…read more Usually, acupuncture helps me pronto. This time, not so much. I decided to try a chiropractor. I went into the office with back pain and achiness. As Dr. Leslie put her hands on my low back, I literally could feel the pain "disappear" and "melt" beneath her healing touch. I left the office pain free! I loved how Dr. Leslie explained to me that acupuncture and chiropractic complement each other but maybe this time, my pain was due to structural issues - something that acupuncture just could not address and fix. Oh wow! I was feeling amazingly great all day! My husband was ecstatic. Happy wife = Happy husband. :)

I went to see Dr. Leslie with back pain problems. I saw both Dr, Leslie and the other chiro that…read moreworked there. I thought her prices were reasonable and Dr. Leslie was a friendly person. The treatment wasn't very helpful for my pain but it was fairly relaxing and pleasant. Her partner gave me some exercises to do but they just made the pain worse. Maybe there was nothing any chiro could have done for my pain. I don't know. That isn't the reason for one star, though. Why one star? She did some nutrition testing on me (separately, related to a free demonstration she does) and she told me that I needed to buy the pills she sold to get better. I had thought she was going to do food testing and tell me if there were foods I should avoid to help get better. Instead she just tested my response to the pills she sold. In all my sessions after that (I bought a set of sessions and used them all) she would work on my back but then tell me that I wasn't really wasn't going to get better without the pills. I looked up both the pills and the kind of testing she did online and I was really unimpressed. In particular: the quackwatch.com article on Standard Process Labs, and the clinical trials that were done with applied Kinesiology and wasp venom. If you go to her website, you can see that she lists Standard Process Labs and Nutrition Testion (which is applied Kinesiology, if you read the description). I didn't need magic pills and snake oil, I needed medical care. I would have been much more impressed if she had told me that I wasn't responding the way she expected me to and made nutritional recommendations or recommended that I see a traditional doctor and get an MRI etc. I would never use her services again and I probably won't try a chiro again at all, after this experience.
