They came, installed the door, had my tenant sign that the work was done, and kept the garage door opener. Wherever that ended up, I am unsure, but based on the pictures from that day that my tenant has, it was not left in the garage or installed. Home Depot was kind enough to provide me with notes stating that they were told this company would come back out to install the garage door opener once I verified there was power. They claimed the garage didn't have power, which it always has and is controlled by a switch near the entrance to the garage. They never reached out to me to confirm any of this information. They now are stating that I have to sue my previous tenant over it rather than fixing what they screwed up initially. Even the garage door that was installed was not worth the price. They bent one of the support bars on the door, and cut out two of the A-frame beams for the garage even though it was the same size door as the previous one that was installed. All of this work was done with no communication to me, and they solely contacted my tenant. My tenants name and information were only supposed to be used to contact regarding access to the garage, but apparently this company decided it was okay to make all decisions through them despite my name being on the bill. The individual answering phones at the front desk was unprofessional and decided to answer any of my questions with "That's between you and [my tenant]". They also stated if this was months ago, instead of a year, that they would be able to do it. So what is the difference of months vs. a year? I can only speculate that it's because they don't have the same model opener and don't want to deal with Clopay/Home Depot. Terrible business practice, unreliable, and untrustworthy. I would highly recommend finding someone else for your garage door needs. I will update this to inform you all on anything that plays out in the future!

I called Superior about a repair at 11:41 am and they gave me a 3 hour repair window that sams day from 12 pm to 3 pm. Since I have a daily standing medical appointment, I told them what time I would need to leave home. Little did I know that at 12:31 pm service tech Chris would be ringing my doorbell. Superior is 16 miles away from my house which means the drive is about 30 minutes. Talk about fast service, they have Jimmy John style of speed! Chris recommended that I have both springs repaired which makes sense and also will save a second service call charge of $140. Less than 1 hour later, the garage is back in service. Springs are rated to last about 10,000 cycles which is typically about 2 years of normal usage. We store 2 cars in the garage and the door will at least experience 4 - 8 cycles daily. Every time the garage door goes up is a cycle and every time the garage door goes down is a cycle. I honestly don't think we used the garage that much compared to my family and friends but since I don't have the statistics, I pretty much had no choice in paying to have the springs replaced. We use our front door a lot because we have cars outside the garage that are used and i have told the living companions that the garage door is not a front door and to be mindful of using the garage door like it is the front door. I think I will just have the springs oiled and inspected annually to see if they can last longer.

I inquired about the cost which he did initially provide, but then wrote a final bill for 3x the initial price provided. After refusing to pay the end price and his calling his company, the price was lowered a quarter of the initial price. We talked with a representative twice who was very unprofessional ending with the rep hanging up on us (twice). We spoke with a second representative, who was courteous but had no clue regarding the situation. The company finally honored the quoted price which was initially agreed upon payment with a check. They later wanted the quote payed with electronic payment and would not honor the initial payment by check. We even agreed to deliver the payment check or cash in person which they would not provide an address. They finally said the technician would pick the check up the next day but did not show. We eventually settled with the initial agreement by check which was picked up by the technician. Additionally, the technician was from a company called 317 Garage door, not Superior Garage Door.

I wanted to add 2 remote opening door overhead units, needed new springs on one door, and a new cable on one door. The total was close to $1000 for everything. After comparing prices online they had what seemed like the best price, best service, most knowledgeable crew members, and could do the install for me the quickest, in only a few days. They did not attempt to over sell me on any parts and their labor costs were very reasonable. I did buy top rated Lift Master units, and being a gadget guy, I wanted most of the extras. They were able to tell me what I needed, and made sure it was at the lowest price they could offer me. Very fair and trustworthy group of employees. No hard sell, no slick talking, no up-selling, just the facts and info I requested. I can use the Lift Master remote app on my cell phone, via the wi-fi set up, the built in push buttons on my truck console, the key pad out side my garage door, the small sun visor remotes, and of course the 2 separate push button controllers mounted in my garage. I think I can safely say I will never be locked out, lol. They installed everything in one day, made sure it all worked fine, and it has still been working just fine and is used on almost a daily basis. I am very happy with the service provided by this company. I would use them again based on my current experience.
