The staff was very friendly and caring. Dr.Syed was extremely thorough, compassionate and took A LOT of time answering all of my questions, and explained everything that was going on to me. Despite having a bad diagnosis for my cat, I felt very educated and heard 100% by the doctor. I never felt rushed, and appreciated his honesty and advice. Side note-They are also extremely reasonable on pricing- for the exam, basic bloodwork(blood sugar test/kidney test), an x-ray and meds was only around $250. Anywhere else around would have easily cost WAY more then that. I HIGHLY recommend this office and they definitely have made a loyal customer out of me.

I called there because my dog sprained her leg and they could not manage to get her in for a look. They are charging tons of money, and when you actually need them for something other than a scheduled heart worm check up, they won't see you. I was told to take my dog to an emergency clinic. I will be finding myself another Vet, obviously they have too many customers. This is not the first bad experwince I've had, since Dr Snider Sr has retired and the children took over, service has gone way down. I would mortgage my house for my dogs if I had to, but not for crappy service.

Spent over &1,000 so far bought special food $5.00 a can that makes him gassy. Please always get a second opinion before you put your animal through this awful treatment. I'm going to start over with a new vet! My doggie was rescue he's groomed every 8 weeks and we love him so much this nonsense and cost is just unacceptable

My regular vet does not perform surgeries and referred me to Metropolitan Veterinary Center for my…read more10-year-old pitbull mix's mast cell tumor removal. The tumor was located on his abdomen and was smaller than a quarter. The surgery was performed by Dr. Terbrack--and the condition in which my dog was sent home was nothing short of horrific. A few hours after surgery, I received a call from the clinic stating that my dog had developed some swelling and bruising, which they described as a seroma--a common, non-painful, fluid-filled swelling that typically resolves on its own. However, when I arrived to pick him up, a vet tech asked if I had a bathroom or hallway I "didn't mind getting dirty" because my dog was a "bloody mess." They had apparently performed two additional incisions to drain the so-called "seroma." This was not a seroma. My dog had a hematoma--he was actively bleeding, and the discharge was clearly blood, not clear fluid. His entire abdomen was severely bruised and swollen. Shockingly, the clinic had no proper bandages to manage the bleeding and instead sent him home wrapped in a scrub shirt and pee pads. What kind of surgical facility doesn't have basic wound care supplies like bandages? I was repeatedly told that mast cell tumors "sometimes act like this." My dog has had an MCT removal before, and this did not happen. I was advised to take him to the emergency vet only if the bruising or bleeding worsened. By that evening, I had no choice but to do exactly that. He ended up hospitalized for three days, receiving IV fluids, pain management, and antibiotics. He was also properly bandaged--something that should have been done from the start. The emergency vet told me he was in significant pain for the first 48 hours, and that oral medications alone would have been entirely inadequate to manage it. Despite spending over $2,500 on surgery and pre-op testing at Metropolitan, I had to pay an additional $4,000 in emergency care to save my dog's life. Fortunately, I had pet insurance and could afford it--otherwise, I may have lost him. Dr. Terbrack and the team at Metropolitan Veterinary Center downplayed my dog's condition, failed to provide adequate post-operative care, and sent him home in a state no animal should be in. I cannot recommend this clinic to anyone considering surgical care for their pet.

Fresh food is insanely expensive. People are getting priced out of pet ownership. If my vet cannot return phone calls and answer questions, I need a better veterinarian. I had worked in Veterinary Medicine for years, and had never heard of that but let it go. I also asked about a cone for his procedure upon pickup, and was told "he should be fine". By Tuesday he was unable to hold his urine, straining to pee, and hind end shaking. Wednesday he was vomiting, didn't sleep at all in the night, and would not eat. Still straining to pee and urinating all over the house (on accident). I called to speak with someone on this, and I was told I would need to make an appointment. I explained that they were over an hour from me (this is not my regular vet, it is the vet the rescue used), and asked if they would be waving my exam fee to be seen since he was just in on Monday. Again, after working in vet med it is pretty customary to get a free recheck after a procedure. I was cut off while asking and was just told "That is completely up to the Doctor". Got it. Can someone please ask before I drive over an hour each way or pay my regular vet to fix a problem that he did not start? I told her never mind, and contacted my regular vet. My regular vet said that he also had never heard of a standard neuter resulting in such an exorbitant amount of antibiotics, and wondered if there was some sort of contamination during the procedure that I was not made aware of. My vet also mentioned that the pain medication that he was put on, is really not standard for the procedure that he was given. I spent $400 at my current vet (more than the cost of the neuter), and we are hoping that they did not do any internal damage which is making it hard for him to hold his bladder, or be unsure when to release it. Overall, I am not pleased with the level of care OR the client service. I would not recommend you bring your pet here, and based upon the reviews there is an overall lack of care by many. Save your pets and your wallets, find another provider.

He did a MRIT for my pit bull, when for her size, weight, and breed this shouldn't have been an option, they should've advised me to take her to a surgical specialist to get a TPLO done, but I'm assuming he wanted to pocket the quick 5 GRAND to do the surgery. Not only did he preform the wrong surgery for my dog, he botched it, the operation did not hold and she wasn't able to put any weight on her leg, and within a few months it became infected. When we brought her back to Cameron he claimed that he did nothing wrong, refused to fix the problem he made, and said he'd need another 5 grand to operate on her leg again. Once we demanded that he fix the issue he created under the cost of the original operation he said he would, but with an ultimatum, he said we wouldn't be allowed to bring her back afterwards... At this point we about had it and had lost all confidence in Cameron. We took our dog to the surgical center in flint, when they saw what he had done they were taken aback. We had to go through 2 more surgeries after Cameron. One to reverse what he had done to my dog, and the second to fix the problem that we originally had paid Cameron 5 thousand dollars to fix. My dog was out of commission for a couple years, going through three surgeries, this whole situation stole her youth and costed me over 15,000 dollars. he should've never operated on my dog to begin with.

He specializes in multiple different areas including giant breeds, anesthesia, dental work, working dogs, reactive dogs, elderly dogs.... He is a true professional and my brother and I, now in our thirties, take our own dogs to him. He is able to make same-day appointments and will help cut expenses if the bill is unexpectedly high due to an emergency. Great doctor and wonderful staff. I dread the day he retires and I have to find a new vet!
