In the front, they have a lot of old school glassware and China, vintage decor and bags up on the walls, women's clothing in the middle, and a large men's section in the back. There is also a great selection of jewelry and little trinkets by the register. I scored a gorgeous red croc leather bag and a vintage green glass ashtray for $40. I did not purchase anything so I can't attest to this statement. They seem to make you leave bags at the door for loss prevention reasons and LP that day was a young guy who seemed unassuming. They have clothing, electronics, toys, etc. inside. Again, I was on a mission for a particular pair of pants for my kid so I purchased nothing since they didn't have what I required. Dollar Dan's can be accessible by A train Lefferts Boulevard line at the last stop + a short walk. Merchandise are organized in aisles but the aisles are somewhat narrow. This store is huge with clothing in the front and house ware in the rear. A guard watches customers enter/exit like a watch dog. I prefer Deals and Discounts or Family Dollar.

I visited this Salvation Army location at approximately 4:40 p.m. on Monday to pick up a china…read morecabinet that had been purchased and set aside for me. The item had a tag attached with my name and phone number, yet two employees refused to release it because I did not have the physical receipt with me. One staff member, a hefty woman with a mustache, said she would check whether the china cabinet was in the back, then left the front area for about 15 minutes. When she returned it was apparent that she did not check for the china cabinet and forgot about the issue all together while I was waiting. During the visit, I was able to locate the china cabinet in the back area myself, still with my contact information attached to it. The buyer who purchased the piece on my behalf had provided my information at the time of sale and was never informed that I would need to present a physical receipt in order to pick it up. This requirement was not communicated beforehand, which added to the confusion. The overall experience was infuriating. The employees were rude and despite having clear identifying information on the item, I was not able to take it with me. After about 25 minutes trying to resolve the situation, I left without the cabinet. While I understand stores have policies, the lack of communication and customer service made this a very disappointing experience.

On Sunday Feb 1st 2026 I took my daughter's shopping at the Primark Location in Jamaica Queens NY …read more What started out as a fun day with mom turned into a scary situation. The system in Primark was acting up. Unbeknownst to me I paid for $345 worth of merchandise with my card . The money was removed from my card however I was told I did not pay and that I could not leave with my merchandise. Like any credit card transaction there is a hold placed on the card until the transaction is finalized with the bank . The company wanted me to pay another $345 dollars advising me that they don't have their money so it's not their fault and I should take it up with my bank . I advised them that I paid after speaking to management and that I was not leaving without my merchandise and I left . Upon leaving I was followed down the block by a male who identified himself as a detective . In order to not scare my kids I went back to the store however called the police to help me because I paid for my merchandise. When the police arrived I thought I was going to get help however the store reported that I stole the merchandise and I need to be arrested . While my children were alone with me I asked that my family was given a little grace to get to me as I paid for my items and this is ridiculous. I threatened to sue and advised the cops that if they were taking me in I would like a lawyer . With that being said the store manger then states that I didn't intend on stealing and it's not my fault it's the banks fault . It was resolved with them taking back everything I bought for my girls and still have not received my money back . I used the same card in other stores down the block and in the area without issue . The store treated me as though I was a criminal embarrassed myself and traumatized my children , using intimidation of there male staff for merchandise that was no longer theirs because it was paid for . Fast forward to Tuesday Feb 3rd 2026 the transaction has been finalized as I initially stated it would be leaving myself and my children without the merchandise we shopped for or the money to shop elsewhere. I was banned from the store and criminalized in front of other customers on that day.
