I experienced an excessively long wait time and was told it was part of the assessment process. Regrettably, this wait included about an hour without any updates or communication, which was particularly challenging due to my pain. Given that I was seeking a second opinion, I expected some level of consultation. However, the staff's approach suggested otherwise, and I questioned the necessity of providing my information and completing paperwork. A staff member's behavior was particularly egregious, marked by rudeness and a lack of professionalism. She declared that pain medication wouldn't be offered, citing injections as the sole option, despite my clarification that I wasn't there for pain management. The lack of privacy during this conversation, due to the open door, further exacerbated my discomfort. The doctor ultimately stated that he couldn't offer much assistance without clear evidence in my records. I thought I'd try a pain specialist, thinking they'd know how to help migraines since it was "neurology." He immediately wanted to do an EEG which I told him I already had done and it was normal, but he insisted. I explained the medications I had taken in the past, and he said I should go to PT because he was sure all my pain was related to my neck. I did go to PT for several months and my pain increased to more than it ever was. I won't blame that on him, as maybe I have to go through some pain before the headaches lessen? Anyways, he also had me to an MRI and prescribed me a drug to take. I went home and it was a bipolar drug being used off label. I didn't feel comfortable at all taking it. So at the appointment to discuss the findings, I told him I didn't want to try that drug. He pretty much said see ya at that point because his ego is so big that he won't treat anyone who doesn't do what he says. He said maybe I should try alternative medicine and said, "At least you had an EEG and got those findings." What?? I already had one and was only doing it to appease him. Neck MRI showed nothing remarkable. Also, I had asked him for help because I was having a lot of rebound headaches from overuse. And he acted like he didn't even know what that was. He's a pain doctor, how do you not know what it means to take a pain killer (in my case triptans) and get more headaches from overusing the medication? I don't suggest this doctor at all for migraines. read more

Absolutely the worst doctor experience in my life. Period. No words can describe what they did to me. Everyone, from my insurance, my employer, Farmacy, and other doctors, nobody can believe what I went through because of this doctor office. I was even suggested to take legal action against them. I almost lost my job and insurance because of their action. Their order of my life-saving medicine is still pending with my insurance because of no communication from their office. My insurance tried to get in touch with them multiple times. No response. Other doctor offices fixed all their mistakes in no time. In one day! I sat at this doctor's office for well over an hour only for them to tell me they do not perform the procedure I was referred for to their office. Could the referring office have made a mistake? Sure. But it seemed like a big thing for an office to miss that the difficult procedure you are scheduling the patient for isn't one you provide. Despite sitting for almost an hour and a half and eventually not being actually treated for anything, I still had to pay the $30 copay for the visit. All around was not a pleasant experience and did not instill a lot of confidence in the treatment they would've provided, especially when the doctor seemed unprepared to even see me in the first place. read more

Dr Hawarey was extremely compassionate and very thorough. He wanted to get to the root of my pain and didn't just try to medicate or rush me through treatment. I especially appreciated that since I was in excruciating pain constantly. Due to the fact I have nerve pain it's hard for people to see or understand the severity of my pain. He didn't once minimize my situation. Although the nerve test was one of the most painful things I've experienced I was able to get more insight on the root cause. I was looking forward to seeing this Dr after the good reviews but experienced the complete opposite. Everyone is sweet and nice but you get the run around! I am located near Red Rock and scheduled my first appointment. I was in major pain and in tears, I can see Dr Hawarey was concerned and wanted to help fast. We scheduled the MRI, EMG's and first injection for a week later. 1) The MRI was schedule at DR and insurance did not cover so scheduled at SD, that added more time. (they blamed new staff didn't know what they were doing) 2) The EMG was scheduled at there other location in North Las Vegas at 3:30pm, which I thought was weird as I liked the Red Rock location, the front desk said "sorry the technician is running about an hour behind" I waited as I was far from home. Finally get to the technician and he said "just so you know, I'm not running behind, its the girls upfront that double booked and blame the technician on it" I just listed as I was 1 step closer to getting my pain managed. I finally got out of there at 5:30pm at night, empty parking lot and very scary area. Got home by 6:45pm after traffic. 3) Injection got rescheduled 3x's! Dr will not be there that day anymore, Dr would like to leave earlier that day, your insurance doesn't cover that location. 4) Finally after getting 'approval' 4 weeks later. Day of procedure, fast for 8hrs, arranged a drop off, filling out paper work and front desk says "your out of network, your welcome to pay in full $900+ dollars?" obviously I left as I need 1 of 4 injections an unable to afford it. 5) Showed up to my follow-up with Dr, even thou all my tests where not finished, to explain the issues and why. He said they don't control the insurances and he apologized, again took me up front and told the ladies to make sure and schedule in correct location as they have access in knowing if my insurance will cover it or deductible will be due. 6) 2nd MRI that front desk missed the first time to schedule, was never filled out correctly. I kept asking the front desk, they would fax it over and tell me to wait a few days. Repeat the process 3xs and radiology help said they keep faxing over a blank with just my name so they are unable to process it. FINALLY, got my upper mri done. 7) Injection gets rescheduled once again. The day before my 8am procedure, at 6pm at night, they call to change location from Sahara/Rainbow to North Vista hospital at 2pm. Mind you I need a drop off and pick up arrangement. In the morning I called the office and said I was unable to find a ride being so far and such short notice. North vista hospital called to ask where I was, I informed them that I canceled as soon as i knew I had no way of getting there on such short change notice, he also informed me that they are very bad at communicating. 8) I get a call to remind me of the injection for next week, I said "great! do you happen to know what I own as a co-pay or deductible?" she said "sure, hold one moment" She got back on the phone and said "you have been discharged from our office, doesnt show a reason so" So they just cut me off and done. 3 months and all I got was 2 MRI's and have to start all over. This place has 3 location and schedule you ALL over the place. Broken promises, new turnover on staff and not know what's going on. Vegas is better then that type of service! read more

This doctor's relationship to patient is horrible. We waited 2 hr before we finally got to a room. When he came in, he looked really dirty like he forgot to shower. Then he didn't even give me a chance to explain what I was experiencing. He kept interrupting me and saying "let's get to the point... I have other patients waiting and they are getting angry". At that point, he made me feel like my issues were not important. So I told him that I'm a patient also and I waited patiently to see you as well. He then said that he couldn't help me without an EKG test... what a flake of an answer! With him declaring to be best in the field is a joke! Do I cancelled all future visits. If you love waiting in a stinky and dirty room only to get the "I don't care attitude " .. then this is the dictator you. I highly recommend that you seek other help. read more

First appointment I went early assuming I would need to fill out paperwork. No one ever confirmed that first appt or sent early paperwork. Office wasn't open, staff eventually showed up and I spent the next 20 minutes filling out paperwork. Staff used her personal phone to take pictures of my drivers license and insurance, gave me uneasy feeling. Waited another 30 minutes, never saw the Doctor saw a PA. This was after months of waiting for an appointment. Barely looked at my MRI. Said I needed additional tests which they scheduled 4 weeks out. Then the day before the appointment they send a text cancelling the appointment. Text tells me to call if I need to reschedule, they didn't even bother to call. Next text is demand to pay for office visit, never sent any billing information. read more

He fixed my head and neck pain, everyone else just assumed it was migraines. He did not. He helped me a lot.

He said he no longer helps patients with myasthenia gravis and he tells them to go out of state. He said thats not his specialty. His PA didn't know what a SFEMG was, she jumped to doing a biopsy when she first spoke to me. He entered the room saying you have 5 to 10 mins on top of what my PA already said. HUH? What she said? She didn't know what an SFMG was and said maybe about doing a biopsy, and she was silent the whole time he was in the room. It didn't look like they were on the same page of each other. I'm not sure he has a lot of care for each patient. Waste of time and money. He doesn't seem to deal with neuromuscular diseases, well at least not MG. Wish I would of known this sooner. He also seemed turned off being a doctor for a second opinion. Questioning me why I was there seeing him, instead of starting off with the health documentation that he was given to see how he could help. Always do your research and know what you want to walk away with from the appt. its your health, your life. I waited an hour and 15 mins to see him. just to hear I can't help you. Dr. Hawaray is a phenomenal doctor, in a class of his own. On the other hand his phone staff I would give an F rating. They rarely answer during business hours and when I leave messages, they 'never' call me back with the first message. It takes 2-3 messages before I get a call back. I've been seen by several optometrists, ophthalmologist and a neurologist attempting to get help with my 7-year run with nystagmus. Along, with taking several tests like MRIs and many others. Nobody could explain why I developed nystagmus in my 40s. One ophthalmologist here in Las Vegas told me. "Your nystagmus is mild; you need to learn to live with it. She was a waste of time. I lost my confidence in driving. It's tough when you can't see straight or see double, I also lost my depth perception. After giving up to this disability, my new friend Meri told me about a brilliant neurologist Dr. Sherif Hawarey. She told me he'd figure out what's happening to me so, I decided to try one more time. I scheduled my appointment and I inadvertently arrived the day after my scheduled appointment (my mistake). Dr. Hawarey and his team graciously welcomed me and fit me in his busy schedule that day. Dr. Hawarey did several visual tests, asked several questions then diagnosed me with myasthenia gravis. I was extremely surprised! I wasn't expecting a diagnosis, and what the hell is myasthenia gravis. He took the time to explain everything. He sent me for MRIs to rule out stroke. He prescribed me meds. After 1 hour of taking the medicine, my nystagmus was slowly fading away and I felt confident for the first time in years. I do have a fight on my hands but now I have a name to my disease and its treatable. I'm very grateful for Dr. Hawarey and his team, he's given me so much of my life back and yes, he's a brilliant a Neurologist. The entire office staff are the friendliest, nicest, most professional office staff I have ever met. Every single person working it that office works hard for the patients and always go above and beyond to hell out any way that can. They do not treat us like a number this office treats you like family. Every time I have visited this office you are greeted with a smile from the entire front office staff. The nurse always asks how we are feeling and really listens not just a speech but actually cares about how we are doing. The Dr. Actually sits down, looks me in the eye and really listen and care about my health and medical issues.They don't try running for the door quickly lol :) They make me feel confident about my treatment and because of this office I am able to get my life somewhat back. I have a lot of medical mobility issues and without this entire office I would be in a wheelchair and bed ridden instead of enjoying life with my babies and family I can not say enough great things about this office. My husband have been going to this location for almost a year or so everything started off good but the staff is horrible! When I say they give nothing but attitude don't care about the patients plus when you ask to speak to the head doctor or someone in charge you can't because they won't allow you to .
