This was supposed to be our birthday celebration trip, but it gets worse! Next day, around 2 PM, every fire alarm in the building started going off, and continued to go off for the next two hours. We were not forewarned that fire alarms were going to be tested during our stay. Because of the noise, we were forced to go outside, where we were met by more landscapers making noise. To cap things off, a rancid smell became noticeable in the second floor hallway the day we arrived, then got progressively worse, so by the time we departed on the last day it smelled like something had died on the second floor. Other guests staying on the second floor also mentioned their concerns. We left notes for hotel management regarding our displeasure, but received no compensation. We will not be back!

A note to visitors: the shared refrigerator for guests is only a mini-fridge, so there isn't much storage space. We'd suggest planning ahead and bringing a cooler for any larger items you wanted to store - or calling ahead to see about options. The dorm fridge provided was hardly balancing on an old chair, not safe or stable at all. Lastly their breakfast was okay at best. I've had better breakfast at hotel chains that offer continental breakfast. All that was offered was scrambled eggs, sausage and some fruit. No homemade pastries,pancakes,potatoes, quiche or typical "Bed and Breakfast" food. No jelly or jam and the 4 slice toaster didn't cut it when you had a room full of people waiting to make toast.
