I left a message to ask a question of the doctor and three weeks later still no answer. When I called to cancel an appointment two days in advance and set up an appointment for an injury that required urgent care I was met with short, snappy, unprofessional communication. Clearly Amelia was annoyed to talk with me and yelled at me that she has put in a million pre authorizations for medication prescribed and she refused to do it this time when it was prescribed and she received the request. I let her know I can see I am annoying her and I am good and ended the call. This person called my phone number three times and left a very rude voice mail telling me she would "let Dr. Justin know about this phone call." Hopefully they have recorded monitoring and he can listen to the call and hear how she talks to patients. Also, I can leave a doctor office if they have a terrible office staff if I choose. I shouldn't be harassed by the entitled office staff that refuses to do their job and instead calls me to attempt to scold me twisting the conversation as evident by the voicemail she left. Now 6/26 I got a letter dated 6/15 that they are choosing to drop me as a patient, of course it's received over ten past when it's dated. I highly recommend just staying away unless you enjoy a dumpster fire office.

During the visit I mentioned three health issues that I'm struggling with 2 of which need prescriptions. She didn't ask questions or address two of them! After the brief visit she disappeared to write notes and I had to wait again for a long time until she came back. At the last minute of the appt., while walking away from me, she remembered that I needed one of the prescriptions and then disappeared. What? How is this a quality visit? I wasn't listened to or respected. I could have stayed home with my PTO. Needless to say, I won't be coming back. Writing this review so others won't waste their time.

For more than two decades he had been the dependable go-to-nurse in a government hospital tending to mentally disturbed patients. Since last year our son's health suffered as the cumulative effect of a punishing work condition such that he needed medical care himself. Unbelievably, Los Angeles, California, with all its reputed cosmopolitan advances and progressive pretensions, proved direly incapable of providing satisfactory medical care when needed most. It's either that doctors don't service my son's insurance coverage or that their schedules were top heavy and for many other reasons. The couple of medical providers we ultimately contracted had their own sweet times of when to engage a patient such that there were emergency situations and they would not even pick up the phone. My son's employer also has doctors but they, too, were found wanting. My wife and daughters would take turn pleading, crying over the phone asking office staffs to connect then with the doctors, to no avail. There was someone we had been addressing as "Doctor" for sometime only to find out that he's a nurse practitioner. There were instances of seriously wrong medications prescribed resulting in my son's ailment turning worse. A Texas-based daughter brought to our attention Dr. Robert Hernandez of Primary Medicine of Sherman and, boy, he's heaven sent as far as we are concerned. In the words of another daughter, Dr. Hernandez is a doctor who cares, the kind of Primary Care Physician we're looking for his brother and everyone in the family. Laymen that we are, we, nevertheless, are capable of discerning the wide chasm of difference between our sad experience with California's medical world viewed in the prism of Dr. Hernandez' humanity, very capable hands, and sincere care of patients. Friendly office staff, too. As a matter of fact, we're in the process of resettling in this part of Texas so that everyone in our family can avail of Dr. Hernandez' care and expertise. I'm sure this is only the first of our shared observations for the benefit of everyone in need of competent, patient-oriented medical provider. At our first meeting with Dr. Hernandez, we feel that he was not just a doctor of the body and mind, but of the soul, as well, because he reaches out to our deepest longing for a friend, a confidante and someone akin to family, who we are not afraid to share our deepest fears and anxieties with. We feel safe with him both physically and emotionally, confident that he is someone who will be there for us. We look forward to more productive and more meaningful association with Dr. Hernandez and we wish many more will come to know him, as well. We certainly are not putting any pressure on the good doctor with unreasonable expectations because we know that all patients at Primary Medicine of Sherman are being treated equal. I have never written a review but felt compelled to write this one in the hope it will help others…read more Some years ago I developed two spots on my lower left leg. I didn't think much about it and used every ointment imaginable to treat but the spots only got worse. I then resorted to home remedies that included coating the two areas with honey and avocado. None of these treatments helped and both of these areas had now become very painful, inflamed sores that created hole like indentions in my leg. The wounds were now extremely painful 24/7, very swollen, and there was a discoloration of the skin. I didn't know what was wrong, where to go, or who could help me. I can't begin to express how blessed I was to schedule an appointment with Dr. Hayes. Someone was finally able to tell me what was wrong and how he was able to medically treat in order for the wounds to heal. He explained that I had Venous Disease and the wounds were venous ulcers that would never heal without proper medical treatment. Dr. Hayes has performed more than one vein procedure for my chronic venous insufficiency and have all been very successful. I hope this helps others who might be undergoing a similar situation. (He's a coffee lover, so I have that in common with him) Wait times in waiting room are pretty short, be prepared to wait in the rooms, though. Rooms are cold! Procedure room is cold, too! (FYI they do have heated bed for procedures which is super nice). But your hands and feet will be COLD. ESP. If they do another procedure before yours while you are laying there . Prep is COLD, too! Ahhh warm that up, lovies! Don't worry about the sour face on one of the front office staff people. It's nothing personal. I think they are just focused or something. The nurses are all friendly. (She could smile more, but whatever. She's never rude or anything, so must be a demeanor thing.) They are all down to earth and personable. Fee free to ask questions. They should give out coffee to warm you up in the rooms, maybe music or a television would be useful. ‍ The care was great, so def. would refer!
