Sherrie's had been on our short list of places to try yet it still took us a while to get here. Suffice to say, it's well worth the wait... but don't put it off any longer! There's a shared parking lot outside the restaurant, so don't let a crowd scene dissuade you from stopping by. The restaurant is bigger inside than it looks from the outside. We were greeted warmly as we walked in and were seated immediately. Our server was very friendly and cheerful and she happily explained a few highlights on the menu. ASIDE: That Friday Fish Fry has got to be awesome; 'nuff said! Mind you, Smokin'Hubster makes great omelettes. His breakfasts are all good, but the omelettes are a step above. After visiting Sherrie's - and ordering omelettes - he's mentioned more than a few times that he wants to go back for more. He ordered the Farmer's Omelette and secretly wondered if he he should order a side of potatoes. When he 'fessed up on the way home, he admitted that the omelette was way bigger than he expected and he was pretty full as is. I, on the other hand, worried about finishing my Italian Omelette without additional sides. Cudighi is a local treasure and the folks that do it well tend to do it generously. In fact, this might be my favorite way to enjoy cudighi! Too often the bread makes or breaks the sammich, but an omelette this good is a way better showcase of flavors. Super melt-y cheese, lots of 'shrooms and just the right tough of sauce; balanced without being sloppy. The miracle of the toast is still discussed today. Both the Hubster and I are rye toast fiends and when we learned that the bread is made on-site... done and done. It really made a perfect accompaniment to the omelettes. Flavorful without a bulky chew, so it toasts perfectly and melts in your mouth. If I was a toast snob - and I might be - this would be in the top three of the Best Toast List. We were looking for a good diner for breakfast while staying in Marquette - and decided Sherrie's 2 towns away. It was worth the drive. Busy place packed with people on a Sunday morning who seemed to all be locals. The service was fast and attentive. The French Toast and strawberry pancakes were delicious as was the Western Omelette. The Biscuits and gravy were loaded with big chunks of sausage and had a spicy kick to them. Only negative was the coffee was really weak. I tasted the creamer more than the coffee. But we would definitely come back when visiting NMU. Prices are much more reasonable than some of the breakfast places in downtown Marquette. Stopped here on our way home from a family camp trip. Good dinner food with great service. The space was packed full of people when we got there on a Wednesday at 10am plenty of seating. Got some pasties for the road they were top 10 for us. The filling were tasty with round steak,potatoes, carrots, and rottabages the crust was the best ive had so far. read more

Ive been here for 80 minutes, or an hour and 20 minutes, and I've spoken to my server three times total. Multiple tables have walked out. For all four of my friends AND myself, the food was either cold, bad, or just wrong. How does that happen?? With as small of a dining room as they have, how you'd think they'd be able to fill and empty the room ten times in a morning but the same groups have been sitting here for the past hour. Tables are starting to get up, we will probably be doing same if the fixed up orders for my friends take as long. Update: they did take forever and we left. That's ridiculous. 2 cooks, one server, and one trainee on staff with 42 guests. No restaurant has a guest to trained server ratio like that. August 4 2025. After bringing drinks to our table our waitress ignored us for 25 minutes. We were about to walk out when I decided to go to the register and let the other waitress know we were being ignored. My wife was getting low blood sugar and I was getting angry as two other guests were seated and and received their food before she even took our order. I didn't have anything that was homemade so the food was only average. It was hot, prepared correctly and tasted like one would expect. It was nothing special and the roll was a little dry. Service was outstanding- fast, friendly and efficient. Our server checked on us but didn't hover or forget about us. Definitely has the mom and pop restaurant vibe going on which I really liked, but it wasn't as homey as it could have been. Parking is easy and it is located just off the highway, far enough to dampen the traffic noise but close enough to make it convenient to stop when you're on the move. Extensive menu. Excellent food. Potato sausage with sides was delicious, but I had to ask for a doggy bag; I wasn't about to waste any of it. I also had a pizza burger, which I also enjoyed one day --an item I haven't found elsewhere on a menu. Try their pies, also! Everyone is really friendly and the local people frequent the restaurant, so there is a lot of conversations going on at times. Stopped here on a trip down memory lane with friends who had been stationed at the air force base in the 70's. Saw the sign and pulled in. Tiny friendly place! Had grilled ham and cheese, grilled bacon and cheese, and the Ruben. Also split pea and ham soup and beef vegetable soup. All was excellent! Little local diner, with nice people and good food. Sherri's is a local's joint, but not the kind of local's local joint where the record stops when you walk through the door. Friendly faces greet you with a warm smile. A slight din is ever present, as I'm almost certain the entire town comes to Sherri's for breakfast, talking about the weather, news, last night's game; whatever. The menu was full of the standard diner-delights, eggs, pancakes, burgers, sandwiches, but I happened across something called "potato sausage;" an apparent local favorite. So that's what I ordered. It's basically ground up potatoes with spices and stuffed into a sausage casing. It was really good. The texture was strange at first, but the rest was absolute deliciousness! Sherri's is clean, friendly, with a full diner menu. I'm sure there is something for everyone there. Ok gave it 3 stars so far for this place because I have to make another visit! 1st impression, it's an older style diner based on appearance outside and in. Waitstaff deserve 4 stars or more for I felt very welcome and they were so pleasant to deal with! Malissa who waited on me was the cutest and sweetest person I've ever had the chance to meet and was very attentive to the customer needs and made the experience the best. The food did have flavor but slightly over cooked on liver and meatloaf texture was odd but taste good. The food did take awhile because the cook steamed over whelmed with the place 1/4 full, must have been phone in orders as well for he was really busy!
