Went to closest store which sells Benjamin Moore and after choosing colour and quick consult, left with some paint. I painted my doors and colours don't match. And prior to painting, I did use the red primer as they suggested. See photos for final colour. So now I have this pink looking door. Anyways, off the another Benjamin Moore to get another quartz of Benjamin Moore Aura paint. So I'm out 40 dollars but another couple days work since I have many exterior doors. I'm never going there again period.

I went to the Benjamin Store on Langstaff (near Weston Rd) and the same can was $11....and at the Benjamin Moore store on Bathurst near Major Mac they were $8.99. Huge savings here. Access Ito the lot when driving east on Steeles is odd (as its a curved entrance for those people travelling west), but further down there's another entrance. The staff members I've interacted with have been stellar...from the consultant who works in the paint section to the staff at the counters...all have customer skills down pat. This is now my preferred location to purchase paint.

You can order it online directly from the supplier but I wanted to see what the colours truly looked like, especially since I was nervous. It was my first time using chalk paint and I wanted to work with colour. I have no regrets because Jelena was extremely helpful. She helped me select my colours and gave me a walk-through in terms of how to use the paint and to prep my dresser and nightstand. I also purchased supplies from her i.e. roller brush (paint brush was cast to the side) so I could get a more polished look. Poppyseed Creative Living is small but you can't miss it. The inside of the store not only has Annie Sloan Chalk Paint and hand-painted furniture but several other items from local businesses such as jewelry, soaps, etc. It's a colourful, vibrant and creative setting. I'm no painter but the staff here are prepared to spend some time with you to teach you the basics, ensure you get the tools you need, and will sell you the paint that's best/appropriate for the space you're painting. They offer in-store pickup at the customer service desk or curbside. They give you instructions in the confirmation email so you know where to go. This location has a whole lot for itself so there's tons of parking. There are shopping cart corrals throughout the parking lot as well for your convenience. If you're looking for a bite there is a Subway built into it although there are a lot of fast food options nearby as well. The employees here are super nice. There was a door greeter that maybe was there to check if people had masks on. There was a sanitizer station by them. I pulled out my phone to look for some items and they immediately asked us what we were looking for to offer assistance. Luckily we had the aisle and bay number of the product in question so he pointed us in that direction. Maybe I just haven't been to a Home Depot in a super long time but it is really convenient to look for something online, get the aisle and bay number, and find it in store. The bay numbers are prominently listed in each aisle. I swear I've never noticed it before but it's awesome. As for the online pickup, I was a little silly and left all my cards at home since I wasn't driving or paying that day. Don't forget to bring your ID and the card you paid with!! They need that in order to confirm your order. The rep that was helping us was able to work it out for us since I was with my dad (same address) and I had already paid online. This Home Depot location was definitely out of the way for us so it would have been a real pain to come back. The product was already in this location so they didn't have to run to the back and get it or anything. Some other interesting things that I saw were all the different plants they had. There are mini sweet pepper plants that have fruits, rosemary bushes cut like Christmas trees, and a lot of really pretty poinsettias. I wound up getting one of the latter. They were $10 for a large plant with a real pot. A successful visit overall!
