Thankfully the staff here are usually friendly and able to ensure I have what I need for my project. I especially want to recognize James for his excellent customer service. Among managing the store and phones by himself this particular evening, he promptly greeted each customer, was friendly and exceptionally patient as we asked questions about the different formulas and was very knowledgeable about what paint formula would be best. He was happy to explain the differences and even helped us figure out the best deal for our purchase. I felt confident in his recommendations and it made at least the paint aspect of my current project that much easier. I will definitely be back to this location for my next project.

I noticed that they had a kitchen area filled with small appliances, food storage, cooking, and bakeware. There are other household products such as cleaning supplies and laundry items. I love their trash cans. My mom actually bought one from here. The Brute ones are amazing and cheap. Great for yard and trash. They have a large section for paint and wood supplies. Anything you can think of, they have. All the the necessary tools as well. Even ladders for outside work, painters, or anyone. One of my favorite things was the storage bins. Perfect for storing away things taking up space. They have many other sections like plumbing, automotive, and hardware. A useful area for me is the doorknobs and padlocks. I was looking for new ones. We also saw lots and lots of tooks for everything. Their biggest section may have been lawn. The lawn area have sprinklers, tools, weedwackers, blowers, lawn mowers, hose, bird feeders, plant food, insect control, fertilizer, grass chemicals, and grass seed. They also have grills and propane. Some of the tools are useful for yard work such as shovels and rakes. It's seems like a great place to buy painting and lawn items more than anything else. I did see some items priced higher than other stores like the cleaning supplies. They do also have some cheap steals.

The painters were quick to correct misses that I pointed out. Drop cloths caught most debris and paint, but not all. Cleanup at end was passable. We requested that a partial gallon of paint be left for us for touchup, which they did. I was told that further cleaning was to be done, but no one came back. Basically a good job, and pleasant kids. But it helps to keep an eye on the project.

Upon walking in this location an employee is always ready to greet and offer help in finding a small or large item for a quick repair or major project. Sometimes there are many employees working in different areas that can help with the stress of a DIY project with their expert advice. Yes there are the two "Other Big Chain" home improvement stores, but Great Lakes Ace is always easy to shop being nearby, compared to driving in traffic on M59. :-) The organized layout of this store makes shopping efficient. I've had to run up here many times to grab a plumbing part or another piece of hardware. As far as their services, I've had keys made and paint mixed. We also purchase our lawn fertilizer here each year and bags of topsoil for any yard or lawn repairs along with grass seed etc. Their deck stains are another item we buy when it's time to spruce up the color of the deck. It's a handy store indeed and whether it's spring, summer, winter or fall- the nicely laid out aisles and seasonal department usually have what we need. From small items to large, they have you covered and if it saves a trip to the big box stores, then you've saved yourself some time as well. The store is always neat and clean which is always something I notice when entering any establishment and that speaks volumes that they care about their customers.
