I have lived in town over 20 years and really enjoy Ace Hardware. Sometimes you need the big box…read morestores but so often you need a few things or real help with a project, that they can not give you. Parking is ample and the lot is well lit. Propane gas is available for refill or tank swap. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Every time I go there I am greeted with a smile on entry and asked if I need assistance. The staff is very knowledgeable and I can always get help with whatever project I am doing. They offer a military discount and a rewards program that are very helpful. Whether you need to get your lawn back in shape or tools for a job Ace is the Place!!! And the staff really is helpful!! My next project is getting the yard ready for Spring so seeds are mulch are on the list for this week.

We searched high and low for the shade through SW. No luck. Salespersons were very helpful. Store is spacious and allows for social distancing. We bought a few samples to test first. Decided on a color the hubby loved. None of them floated my boat. Made our purchase during a big promotion. SW paint ain't cheap!! Once the rooms were done, I'm very satisfied. My hubby ended up doing the painting; he liked the quality of the paint. Four stars only for the price-and that was on sale.

Just the color scheme alone that they had used to paint the outside of their building was phenomenal. I knew I had come to the professionals. But the magnificents didn't stop there. As I entered the store I couldn't believe how well the products were presented. It was like being in a candy store when I was a child. Everything spoke to me, calling out my name, saying "here I am, I'm easy to find". But this wasn't even the best part, as soon as i walked through the doorway and my foot hit the welcome mat, there was Joe. Joe was ready and more than willing to help me start my project! Just his very voice filled my heart with an overwhelming feeling that I mattered and was appreciated, not just because how he said those words but because he was there to help me immediately. He was a endless fountain of information, I had so many questions, and this fine young gentleman answered them all with ease and enthusiasm. He really made me feel confident that I could complete my project with swiftness and ease. Joe was a outstanding employee, very polite and well mannered. I could only hope that in the future I could meet more strapping young men like him, because let us be honest, good help can be hard to find these days. That's a whole 'nother issue..... I contacted Lowe's online customer disservice to get a replacement gift card. The unhelpful person handling my problem acted like I was bothering him and told me to visit the store where I made the purchase. Went to the store where I made the purchase and both ladies at customer disservice counter told me I was basically S.O.L. (mind you I purchased physical gift cards at three other retailers that promptly assisted me, investigated and determined the card had not been used and reissued replacement cards without hesitation). Lowe's there was no way to trace my purchase. Really??? Also, my husband didn't have his Lowe's credit card and the customer disservice staff gave him the run around to locate his card info. So, Home Depot, Ace and the local hardware store will be getting our business in the future.

We were in the store today and the staff really rubbed me the wrong way. Yes- every one we interacted with. From the guy with the trainee in tow whom we asked to help us find an item to the two blokes sitting in the kitchen section who couldn't be bothered to assist in locating yet another item. The forklift was parked completely in front of the items we needed (detergent for power washer) couldn't find anyone to move it. And lastly, the crosswalks from the disabled parking to the store front completely blocked with riding lawnmowers that were roped together so you couldn't even go between them. Disabled husband had to walk in the car lane to the entrance from disabled parking spot. Also the air conditioning did not seem to be working today.
