I have lived in town over 20 years and really enjoy Ace Hardware. Sometimes you need the big box stores but so often you need a few things or real help with a project, that they can not give you. Parking is ample and the lot is well lit. Propane gas is available for refill or tank swap. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Every time I go there I am greeted with a smile on entry and asked if I need assistance. The staff is very knowledgeable and I can always get help with whatever project I am doing. They offer a military discount and a rewards program that are very helpful. Whether you need to get your lawn back in shape or tools for a job Ace is the Place!!! And the staff really is helpful!! My next project is getting the yard ready for Spring so seeds are mulch are on the list for this week. read more

It makes me feel a little silly, but this is the only place I know that cuts keys, so that's why I come here. They have a decent array of gardening supplies and ornamental stuff for the outside of your home/apartment. I suppose I might come here more if I owned a house or had a green thumb. I will say that this place is never packed, which is nice. I have a mini heart attack when I have to go to Walmart due to the sheer volume of people. The store is easy to navigate and the employees are more than accommodating. I get greeted when I walk through the door by a cashier and am asked if I need help within a couple minutes. I only wish I had more reasons to come here. Maybe I'll learn how to garden someday. read more

Had an issue regarding switching out from a European/Asian type plug to the US Standard for several devices. Was greeted warmly by the Store Manager - Matt Paul, who immediately had a most cost effective solution, in addition to having the means to change out plugs in store. He brought in one of his associates named Terry who was proficient in this type of work. Left what needed done and work was completed in short time. (They would have completed it all right then, but delivery truck just arrived and needed to help with that). A most clean store, well lit, good energy, and friendly and sincere service with all of the employees. They made what was a very stressful situation (timeline), for me and handled it with ease. This store has a major problem with management and customer service. No help in the paint department so I had to search myself. I should have started mixing my own (maybe that would get their attention). The store was not busy and two registers were open. I went to the empty register. In the second register one person was just about done and a man was behind him. I put my items on the counter and pulled out my wallet. The cashier turned his back to me and told the man in the other lane to change lanes and come in front of me? So now he has to move his stuff, the other lane is empty and I'm having to remove my items so he can put his down. I told the cashier I thought that was extremely rude and showed a lack of common sense. He seemed rather proud of himself and didn't even apologize. Turns out the cashier is the MANAGER. That explains a lot..... Shop elsewhere. I wish I could give zero stars. read more

Went in to get a key programmed the other day because my original key fob had broken. Everyone was extremely friendly, first time I entered a store and every employee greeted me. Unfortunately the manager on duty, Kyle or Tyler sorry I can't remember his name, could not program my new key to lock and unlock my door with the remote due to my orginal one being broken. However, he tried really hard and even out sourced and called someone over the phone to get help. Even though my buttons weren't programmed, they cut and programmed the key fob to start my car for free. I didn't get 100% of what I came for and understand this is not a car dealership so they are limited of what they could do, but I had to comment on their customer service. I have been looking for paint to update my bedroom/bathroom in my master area, I have tried so many. Today, Matt, at this location took his time to help me with the Benjamin Moore Paint, but it did not look the same, but he never gave up and tried many times. Thanks! Matt, you are awesome! I needed some hard to find replacement wheels for a large container - I had searched internet sites and wasted money on wheels that didn't fit. I went to this Ace hardware store with my problem and was helped by the owner/manager of this store (didn't get his name), I'm from out of town and not used to getting the kind of incredible customer service I was about to receive....they had wheels that were close...,but still didn't fit, so the owner took them in the back and using a grinder, custom fit the wheels no extra charge...he did this because it helped me, and solved my problem...and in the process, saved me nearly $200!$ I am truly impressed and a bit overwhelmed to find such incredible customer care and work ethic.....so refreshing, so rare....I now remember what that feels like from so many years ago.....This should have been my first stop..... Very poor customer service. Tried to overcharge on hardwood mulch... advertised with big sign that said 4 for 11.00. Wanted to buy 8 which would have been $22.00 plus tax. Approx. total of $24.00. I had a $5.00 coupon for $20.00 and over purchases. In addition, I had $5.00 in cash rewards credit. (These, I was told by a manager could be stacked). In the end, they tried to charge me almost $20.00. Should have been closer to $14.00. ( having a total of $10.00 in discounts). Ok so that's only an additional $6.00. It's the principle. Poor customer service and not honoring their advertised prices. Told them I did not want it at that price. Will no longer be shopping at this establishment and to remove me from their rewards program. read more

The workers have absolutely no idea what they are doing to be honest. They don't even know how to give polite costomer service. The lady that helped me kept interrupting me when i tried to explain my problem. Go to Home Depot instead, they actually know what they are doing. read more
